Who are these people that can't watch you draw for longer that 5 min?! lol... I'd prefer more videos and longer ones... Learning tons here! Keep em coming Todd!
Jim P his art is pretty stylistic(his facial alignment bends to express emotion), so if you really want to learn to draw, you shouldn't copy from him too much
I love how Todd gives proper credit to himself AND David Micheline for creating venom. Unlike Liefeld who takes full credit for Deadpool. Even though he had nothing to do with what the character became.

People have said it a few times, but seeing your passion come out while you draw, the sound fx, the fun, reenergizes me for my work today. Gotta draw a lotta pages! Thanks!
For me, Venom is the one comic book character that just looks badass in black and white, which means you can pretty much forget about the coloring process, which is a big plus in my book as a digital drawing beginner.
It really is amazing how quickly you can knock something like that out... Years of drawing with all those comic book deadlines, I suppose, but it is still so very impressive! More videos, please... And, more sound effects!!
Yes, I never cease to be amazed at the talent guys like Todd have but like you said, years of drawing with all those comic book deadlines and I would also add, that like Jim Lee said, it's years of practice, too. This is what these guys do for a living. It's their life and their career so if they weren't as good at it as they are something would be wrong.
WOOOOOOWWWW !!!! THE WAY YOU LAID THAT OUT FROM THE TOP OF THE EYES AND LAID IN THE UPPER LIP TO FORM THAT DOWN SHOT WAS AAAAWWEESSSOOOMEE!! love watching you draw and love the narration !
Growing up in the 90s was a special time for me. I was a poor kid with family problems. Marvel was great, DC was great but it didn’t connect with me on a personal level. When image started and I was able to scrape up the 1.95 admission cost of a book I was finally able to really escape my reality. The books were gorgeous, fresh and the stories were more relatable to a kid like me. Todd you are a legend and a hero to me thank you.
I won’t take my Venom any other way Toddster! It’s a dream come true to be able to watch you draw, I use to study your comics for hours just trying to pick up your style and detail.
I love watching these. Legends creating. I love how technology and social media has allowed us fans to get a glimpse of these behind the scenes processes. Can’t wait for your Spawn movie! One of my fav comic book characters and he scared the shit out of me when I was a kid
Now that i come to think of it, Venom's "skeleton" really was the initial idea of violator in demon form, with the big and sharp overbite, todd really is an awesome artist
Amazing Todd. I'm like a little kid when I watch you draw. You make it look so effortless. I guess that's why you're the man. Love...love your Venom drawings. Thanks again for this short vid. I enjoy every minute of them. Cheers,
nice Todd. I was inspired to do venom art back in the 90s when I was a boy and its what saved my mind and life..Venom and spawn were my fave 2 to create with..you.really inspired me and helped me. I never became a big artist but still love bombn out the V man. great stuff for sure. cant wait for the movie.
Todd ..... Mr.McFarlane ....I just want you to know that you have always....Always! ...been an inspiration of mine...truly amazing person...if anyone here doesn't know his back story...look it up..I can't say it enough...truly inspirational...you have all my respect sir
Todd, I just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for the inspiration. Your earlier work on Spider-Man, Hulk and other titles, Especially SPAWN led to my pursuit in graduating from art school.
I all ways thought i was the only person to make sound effects while i draw i also do the same thing playing video games awsome. Spawnis still the greatest comic book ever the reason i got in to comics thanks for your hard work Todd
I’m surprised to hear that Todd doesn’t like venom with a big tongue, I always thought it added in a more animalistic and primal intimidating sort of look, the more you know.
@@bryanc7094 it's just my depiction of venom, when I picture venom I picture a big bruting venom with a long tongue sticking out, same with Batman I always picture him with a cape as everyone does, Batman even had guns at first but it's not like people picture Batman using guns anymore, times change along with the characters
Finally a venue that allows me to scream TODD YOU ARE MY HERO bought my first comic ASM 312 I think electro rhino and was HOOKED. You changed lives good sir and I'm so happy to see you well. Cheers.
Jeeeez, I remember when I *enjoyed* drawing that much. Now I couldn't even sit down and draw and eye. Full time college plus full time job plus... Y'know, everything life throws at me, it just takes it out of me. I can't draw anymore, I can't even sit and read anymore. Hopefully I graduate from university and that stuff comes back to me.
Todd is literally a big kid who's fulfilled his dream . All the little noises he makes when drawing just brings joy to me I swear
Dude! Me too!! I remember doing that as a kid! Somewhere along the way, I lost it
For reals lol
Same man I fucking love it
Fun fact, you will not find 1 artist who doesn't make noises while they're getting really into their drawing.
Absolutely, man doesn't even care about the money. The only reason he even takes money for his work is to reinvest in his work.
The sound effects, while he's drawing. Reminds me, when I was a kid drawing. Love it! True comic legend.
I found that pretty funny too. You can tell that he likes what he does. That is why he is such an amazing artist
Gre
*shu,swuuh!!*
I still do when I draw, I even make faces when I draw expressions
My favorite part is when Todd is making sound effect when he's drawing.
GOD OF ART you’re an asshole
yes, it's like he was still a child
Pow Boom!
Who are these people that can't watch you draw for longer that 5 min?! lol... I'd prefer more videos and longer ones... Learning tons here! Keep em coming Todd!
Jim P thats so facts. I could watch Todd draw Spidey for hours. Its so interesting to watch
Smite them with all your fury

i agree, i purchased a 22hd last year and i think these videos are very interesting.
I love how Todd gives proper credit to himself AND David Micheline for creating venom. Unlike Liefeld who takes full credit for Deadpool. Even though he had nothing to do with what the character became.
true but he didnt give birth to the character, so in his mind w/o him deadpool wouldnt exist.
@papi-sauce if you go by that shouldn't you credit the creator of deathstroke for the creation of dp?

Todd is the real goat who created all the characters we love
I could watch a vid of Todd drawing for hours! We need to see venom done right on screen!!
Ok is it just me or is this the fastest and coolest picture of venom ever?
His 10min drawing of Venom would take me a day or two. He's just so calm and smooth with it.

This man should have more subscribers, I love the way Todd does these videos, you can hear the passion and enthrallment with each sketch
Todd has such a fun energy. He’s someone’s super awesome grandpa. Complete with sfx
I love watching Todd draw. Love his little talks and sound effects
Wow, Venom is one of the best examples of brilliance of design.
I really miss your Venom Todd, the ORIGINAL, the only one.
