A VPN will not help keep you anonymous. Many VPNs route traffic through idle home connections from other users to get around geo-blocks! You become like an exit node. WeVPN used to do it. They were sending my traffic out via a private address in London. On another day from Southampton. I was also able to see what that person had been looking at on ebay.
VPNs log and supply all your data to law enforcement by Law in the UK. If they Don't Log, the server farms is forced to.
VPNs sell your data and redirect your traffic to highest payers.
If the fire stick is linked to your Amazon account, why should anyone needs a vpn? They already know who you are. Stupid cash grab of yours with fear as a trigger.

Depends upon where they are living and what they are streaming. Big companies like Disney Warner Brothers USA peacock you're screaming their stuff illegally they will catch you eventually. Unless you're using a VPN and then they will have no idea as long as your VPN is one that does not have any logs. And most free ones do. And even some pay ones do.

In the states all that's happening is internet providers weather you stream using a land provider or cell provider, the people from the provider who monitors what your viewing. I found if I purchased an illegal service it will only play for about 30 minutes and than it shuts down to never play again .the authorities don't bother putting man hours into the little guy .they'll go after the people operating the servers

The police in the UK haven't got enough budget to investigate the majority of crimes that take place. Anyone who has ever contacted the police to report something will know how quickly they respond (if they do at all). That all depends on which VPN you are using. If it's free don't use it. Research which ones keep logs. Because eventually they will start asking the vpns for their user logs. In the US part of the ban on tic toc they were trying to push. Also would have banned VPNs. Gotta love the feds

Free Vpns are not great, sadly you get what you pay for. There are good deals on Nord which has just confirmed its No log policy for the 4th time, maybe look at that pal
