The haibo is basically the same reel as Ardent apex elite,
But i think the haibos has much cooler spool/brake configurations...
You can also get a white steed with adjustable centr. brake, and the
Haibo smart with both mag and setr. brake.
Im looking forward to see how it cast with the light lures...
Damn! I saw that and noticed that the spool looked to be much shallower. Now, it seems to be better than I thought.
And the rod matches the reel. Nice!

Thanks for the review, got to check that one out. I'm one of those righties that prefers a lefty baitcaster, this feels more natural to me after using spinners since the beginning of time.

if you want to try BFS without making a huge investment then this reel is it :)
Bought a Zillion TWS spool from Aliexpress, been awesome so far. It will chunk a 1/8 crappie jighead with a 3" Easy Shiner quite a ways, and that is with a 6'6"M. With regular size lures it will smoke my Chronarch MGL and Zillion SV, at the expense of only having about 30 yards of 8lb fluoro left after casting. I also think it would beat out my SV105 if placed on the ML rod I use it with.
What should I buy between thoes?
Xf 50 looks much better than steed. however, I need consider performance, reeling feel and net weight.
I got one of those reels. Nice smooth and cheap. I have some high dollar reels and this one is not quite a aldebaran but it is the 5th the price

those knobs remind me of Quantum reel knobs but thats pretty cool for BFS shallow fishing. It would be interesting if someone like Rays Spools would offer more options for a swap out to BFS spool setup for the lighter reels on the market. I guess you would have to buy a set of separate break shoes for shimano's even though spinning reels are getting a push.

How would you compare the aluminum body for this to that of the XF-50. Which do you think is constructed of better materials? Also What are your thoughts on the Haibo Smart 50? Would you classify it as a BFS reel? How would you compare it to this ?
So far I would classify it as a true BFS reel. Im starting to see that the XF 50 is more in the range of an Aldebaran 50 in casting light lures.

Haibo is one of the better oem companies, they make reels for piscifun. Its better than banax and trulinoya or kastking, however id say its a step below doyo which makes lews

carbon on the reel handle grip is not "painted" as you said and probably you don't know much about rod building...
infact the tips are thicker than 1 mm as you said, my friend... and one question: which is the size of the spool bearings?
im going by the specs given by the seller smart guy

I have got from AliExpress the T-rex reel from Mr Charles. It's a bfs reel half the price and you have to test him ! With cheap ceramic bearings you can throw 3 grammes at 20 meters !!! And also check the channel of Dima Koval on UA-cam, he Is a Russian angler who test a lot of reels ;-)))

Owned Haibo once. After several months of using it, you wont hear an airbus a380 plane flying 100 meters above you while making a cast with this piece of crap. Even if you oil it every day

had same experience with it, actually the worst part is the tension knob i've lost it twice and the brake settings are nosense (i did not get the extra magnets). got the xf-50 hope is gonna be better for a while...
