Good luck to you on this new chapter. But please please PLEASE keep practising evidence based medicine. Based on what you described, things *could* downhill very quickly in the pursuit of a lucrative business.
Hello, I’ve been a long time viewer and sorry to hear about your story. Interesting pivot to a ketamine clinic. I hope your patients are getting a proper psychiatric evaluation beforehand and being educated on the lack of data on any long-term benefit..
As a current anesthesia resident who looked up to you in my pre-med/medschool days I have to say… wtf. Medicine isn’t for everyone and I hope your new goals fulfill what you have been missing in your life. The unfortunate thing is your audience… myself included, followed you for a completely different reason. With the deletion of your old videos and this new avenue, I’m afraid you’re going to lose all of us, and have to find a completely new fan base too.
Why did you follow him in the first place ? This couple has had zero interest in medicine from day 1, you can't have burn out when you've been a sell out from day one.
Are your medical school videos going to be unlisted indefinitely? They were really inspiring to me as I've been on the route to pursue medical school, I can totally understand though if you want to completely close out this portion of your life. ❤😊 All the best!
I quit medicine right after med school. its been 3 years and I've never been happier. I always kept one foot out of the medical bubble having close friends in totally different careers and it really gave me perspective when I felt miserable and "locked-in". In retrospect it's shocking how small-minded my medical colleagues and mentors were about career options, facing burnout, and just general life advice. Most people have jobs, and when they don't like it they quit and find a new job. Some change careers even. But thats unheard of in medicine. People just keep dragging along thinking it will get better ("maybe i'll switch residency" "maybe a fellowship" "maybe a research year" xyz) and it just makes them terrible people. no fault of their own. I wish medical training had some compassionate off-ramping for people that get stuck in this situation. Glad you figured things out :)
@@smiley8106 Its been obvious form day one. . both of them have been very superficial, its clear they went in to medicine only for the money, and never really wanted to be doctors.
The essence of true success is freedom to pursue ones greatest passion or calling in life. By doing so you uplift and inspire others to chase their dreams by your example. I once knew a physician (who has since passed) who was passionate about music growing up, but he felt pressure from his family to pursue medicine due to their connections which essentially garuanteed he had a seat in a prestigious medical school in the UK (keep in mind this was in like the 1940's). He became a very renown surgeon and found meaning in his career, but he recalled a moment just before retiring when he wondered "what if I had taken a chance and chased my dream of being a musician". Even after all of his success advancing the field of surgery during a critical and formative time, in his old age he still wondered "what if?"
Yesss!!! Do what makes you happy! I 100% understand this. I did nursing in order to make my parents happy, but hated it at the end. I ended up quitting my job at the hospital and got into cosmetic nursing and love my job now doing cosmetic injectables, PRP and IV hydration. You won’t regret it. I have been watching your videos for years and this makes me happy ☺️ Don’t let people discourage you, they just don’t get how hard and draining the medical field can be.
Oh wow, life is a journey! I’ve been following you and Jane since like either 2015 or 2016. I appreciate the transparency, and I wish you both good luck on your endeavors!
Wow the hell, you guys are a few years older than me and I remember following you when I was in pre-med 7 years ago. Finally 10 years down the line I'm almost finished with residency, just like you did few years ago. And I also am really questioning a lot of my work life, and got recently really interested in entrepreneurship. Funny how our roads are similar. Good luck in your future endeavor.
I tried to go to college to be a anesthesiologist but it was gonna be too hard because of my cerebral palsy, so now I donate to the anesthesiologist Foundation, I have always wanted to be an anesthesiologist since I was a kid! It’s were my heart is!

Why is it that almost no other field gets treated the way physicians do when it comes to making personal life decisions? Why should future physicians be pressured into giving up their hard-earned spot in school just because others want it, or coerced into staying in healthcare after finding out they're not happy, when the onus is on the federal government and the healthcare system to fund more residency spots and create the conditions to prevent physician burnout? There shouldn't be a shortage of med school seats or residency spots in the first place. Besides, there are other careers for people with medical degrees aside from clinical work.
But what does his decision have to do with others and their desire to treat people for the rest of their lives? If they are qualified, their spot was not stolen from them. This has nothing to do with his life and decision. This is not even about wanting to treat people for the rest of life. Many physicians are quitting , not because of their lack of love for the profession, but because of the BURNOUT and abuse that occurs time and time again. Even the most qualified and selfless individuals only want to deal with that BS for so long They are human.
@@christine5330 I guess my point is that feeling “annoyance” towards someone else’s decision to not practice after studying is inappropriate. Especially if the reasoning involves other people’s passions which is completely irrelevant..

I'm so happy to see so many others seeking their authentic happy life. Find your own work/life balance. I just do 24-28 hours a week 1099 in anesthesia and spend the rest of my time with creative endeavors and travel. It's the best decision I ever made. Excited to see you succeed in using ketamine to help with others anxiety/pain.
I started following you and Jane’s medical journey since your medical school days and at the time I also wanted to pursue the medical field as a PA. I completed 1000+ pce hours and all my PA school requirements and when I recently graduated I realized the medical field wasn’t really something that I wanted to do but was an expectation I was trying to meet for my asian immigrant parents as well. There’s so much hate in the comments but I totally understand where you’re coming from. I’m so happy you and Jane are pursuing your passion and I wish you guys the best of luck!!
You spent 12 years being trained as an evidence based doctor just to quit and start a clinic with borderline pseudoscientific treatments. At least use your medical training to distinguish yourself from the other pseudo science spa's? Good on you for trying to find your passion in life though, takes courage to quit after all those years. Good luck
100% of the owners of ketamine clinics/wellness centers/varicose centers I know still practice OR anesthesia. Best of luck, but don't put all your eggs in one basket; keep your skills up. Pushing propofol is the easiest money you'll ever make.
I think the term “Doctor sellout” is so dumb. The same backlash occurred with Kevin Jubbal. I’ve seen the word “sellout” thrown around a lot towards doctors who decide to pivot elsewhere and no longer want to be a cog in a barely functioning machine. Like God forbid someone who spent the majority of their life in SCHOOL wants to take control of their life for once and gain better worklife balance/mental health. Doctors don’t owe us their blood and sacrifice and too many times physicians are programmed to sacrifice their wellbeing for the world . Many want to quit but face the sunken cost fallacy that stops them. This is brave and admirable. I am not a physician. I am a clinical lab scientist and even I have gotten tired of healthcare. I can’t imagine the weight of no longer pursuing anesthesiology. That is brave but you owe it to YOURSELF to be mentally . Glad you and Jane are on the same page and can support each other through the change. Excited for your new chapter ❤

Even the most qualified and selfless individuals only want to deal with that BS for so long
They are human.
@@christine5330 I guess my point is that feeling “annoyance” towards someone else’s decision to not practice after studying is inappropriate. Especially if the reasoning involves other people’s passions which is completely irrelevant..
My sister and I have been following you and Jane's journey since the beginning of your youtube channel. Congratulations! Feeling very happy for you and Jane. It takes courage to do something and live beyond the norm and what others expect from you. Wishing you both the best and yes it's only the beginning, you both are still so young! Live the life you want, it's yours anyways :) I'm feeling inspired
Good luck on your new endeavors!
And Congratulations on Kloud Health🎉
With the focus areas of Kloud Health, had you thought of studying psychiatry instead of anesthesiology back when you were in med school?
I am thinking about leaving the medical field too. Perhaps one day. I am so proud of you for doing what you believe is rjght for you and what would make you truly happy. ❤❤❤ All the best to the next chapter!!!🎉
I don’t know what it is with LA and Anesthesiologists. I’m an Anesthesiologist in Texas and love my academic / hospital work. My friends in LA all have side gigs, and are getting out. Enlighten me please. 🤷🏻♂️
omg congratulations! i've been a subscriber to the channel since you and jane were med students lol and am now a dermatology resident. happiness is so important so though your quitting anesthesiology is a shocker, i am so proud of you for finding a path to do something you love! best of luck jady!
OMG I never clicked on a video faster!!! As someone who has watched your content for years, this is kinda bittersweet but I'm happy for your transition! I'd love to hear more about Kloud Health

Yes so proud of you and Jane! I know it was hard to decide this. I’ll keep supporting you guys ! Love your videos
That's amazing! I wish you all the best in this new path 😊
Yup, this job is not for the faint of heart. When sh#t hits the fan, it can get terrifying. Ketamine infusion will entail much less stress.
Oh no the old vlogs were deleted(?) love watching those busy studying vlogs. Still, congratulations to you!
this is such an awesome announcement jady! congrats to you on making this move, I love that you are doing something that makes you happy!! please keep posting videos I miss them! ps if you’re looking for nurses for kloud health… 😏 put me in line
Congratulations on your decision. You need to follow your own path
You guys broke up you and Jane ?
Support your decision. Congrats on the leap of faith
Your parents will go from "you must become a doctor", to "what a waste of degree".
But congrats to you doing you 🎉
Congratulations! So proud that you decided to make your dream career happen. I am looking forward to the journey.❤😊
What about Jane?
She is the cofounder
Why are all the old videos gone?
I am understand you. I am with you. My lifelong dream is to be a doctor. And I am going to the medical school after 30. 😂 But you have a degree for your whole life and nobody can't away from you.
We subscribed when they were still med students. But that's ok. Best luck on new path. :) :)
Hey, by the way, I’m just wondering, in those videos, I never knew they had a UA-cam channel, and I’m just wondering, what was it about and do you know their journey? Like the med school the went to undergrad school etc? I’m just wondering because I have been following Jane’s TikTok for the longest time and am just seeing this after they deleted everything 😭
This is great! Always put your mental wellbeing first! Nothing wrong with doing what you think is best for YOURSELF 🎉 goodluck!!
Trained to practice mainstream medicine now moving on to bs medicine!
Locum ?
Will jane not make content amymore? I loved both of your content
Ketamine clinic way to go bro
technically, you're still doing medicine though
This is so real!!!! Proud 🎉
That’s exciting congratulations 😃I am too reconsidering my career. I genuinely want fulfillment more than achievement !!
wish you didn't delete the old videos to create this brand
Get me on your team! I love your mission!
I wish I have this courage...
This is unbelievable
Is Us you and Jane? Congrats!
Good luck with your future endeveaor!!! We will be here to support :)
Good for you! 🙌🏾
Congrats and good luck🎉
You spent 12 years being trained as an evidence based doctor just to quit and start a clinic with borderline pseudoscientific treatments. At least use your medical training to distinguish yourself from the other pseudo science spa's? Good on you for trying to find your passion in life though, takes courage to quit after all those years. Good luck
100% of the owners of ketamine clinics/wellness centers/varicose centers I know still practice OR anesthesia. Best of luck, but don't put all your eggs in one basket; keep your skills up. Pushing propofol is the easiest money you'll ever make.

I follow you from Egypt 🇪🇬❤
congrats!

That is brave but you owe it to YOURSELF to be mentally
. Glad you and Jane are on the same page and can support each other through the change. Excited for your new chapter ❤
