Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"! - Розваги
We just found out that the car stopped in front of the Train was stopped due to a mother and child in the pedestrian crosswalk. The GB was already published. No Darwin in this case.
Mother and child were waiting for him!
They weren't in the crosswalk when the car stopped. They were at the curb and several seconds elapsed before the couple set foot in the street. I'm all for courtesy towards pedestrians, but the motorist has an obligation to clear the tracks first.
@@J3scribe I agree, even the updates I get are sometimes not the final.
Yeah, appears the confusion happened when the person pushed the crosswalk button at the same time as the crossings activated. Pushing the button activated the yellow flashing crosswalk lights that confuse a surprising amount of people into thinking they need to wait for the lights to stop flashing before they can go across (it is not a law, and normal crosswalk rules apply whether they are flashing or not). Obviously the driver shouldn't stop in the middle of the tracks, but was also presented with possibly going through a crosswalk with pedestrians in it violation had the people started walking across.
Seeing the video, yes their car would fit between the crosswalk and tracks, but if it didn't, I'd rather still enter the crosswalk and possibly risk making a couple people mad and a traffic citation, than get hit by a train.
Train will always win no matter what internet warriors might say...😊
You don't need a theater or stadium for entertainment in Lagrange. Just grab a six pack and a lawn chair and sit on the corner by the tracks.
Just don't sit *too* close to the corner or you might get crash debris in your lap 😬 😅
Lagrange where? Idk how many there are lol.
Beautiful sunset an a slow moving train. Doesn't get much better
Funny soundtrack for our favorite city. lol Nice to see the town helping out!
Sunsets are absolutely beautiful
So are sunrises...
@@toomanyhobbies2011 they come to early for me
The closing segment is very, very peaceful! Virtually elegaic!
Anything but elegiac
We have taken Amtrak thru LaGrange several times, now that we have seen some of the incidents, it seems possible that when we were almost thrown out of out bed due to abrupt braking that someone was just “living life in LaGrange”.
Don't believe Amtrak has ever had a route thru La Grange, KY as last passenger train there was L&N "Pan American" and that route was not included in Amtrak when established 1971.
I’m glad that someone else took notice of the Cryo-Trans names! We at the Elkhart cam have been infatuated with them for some time.
Yep, once you see them, like a rare fallen flag, you subconsciously always look for them!
I wonder how they got chosen...
Yup, "bat cave" is my favorite
Even though he looked right at them, the Metrolink conductor had the train move on with the doors wide open.
Grab bags are always entertaining especially Ashland & Lagrange
That long- long train. There are some good people in this world.
I love the animals.
I love only myself.
Another beautiful finalé.
The music in the La Grange segment is hilarious when sped up, and a perfect accompaniment to the visuals.
Very good videos and it was nice the old Santa Fe blue engine keep up with the good work
Another exciting episode of Grab Bag and more awesome trains on the tracks
🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲🇨🇦💨
Those Amtrak GP38-2s in phase 7 just look awesome
I love that Seattle & North Coast boxcar in Elkhart. Awesome stuff 👍
Love seeing the Heritage Units. Would love to see a Northern Pacific, Soo Line and Milwaukee Road units.
Yeah that mighta been a big hip check on the cement, nice that it was sorted and the music worked oh so well
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in multiple locations, especially the Heritage Units, a CSX military train in Fairport, New York, I like them all, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much and happy Good Friday and happy early-Easter.
Thanks for the rare Freight wagons tonight VRF (I never thought of Reefers being given Personalised Names) BNSF came on good with GP60 169 at Ft. Madison, a Cab at Rochelle and SD70MAC 9815 at Chehalis.
There was a string of "Named" reefers back a year or 2 ago, I hope they come around again. We will definitely show and name them all!
Hi Joe, thank you for your reply. I hope you are able to catch the named Reefers. I like seeing the named Carriages at S. Norwalk Tower too. Regards.@@joepeach997
Kudos to the citizens of LaGrange for helping out with the Concrete Truck... Couldn't tell if that was BNSF crew members switching trains in Flagstaff????
Thank you for the names on the Cryro cars.
These cars all have names on their doors.
There is a Tupper Lake, Lake Tahoe, Lake Placid, Oldforge, Utica, Buffalo, Cleveland, Saratoga, Saranac Lake and a slue of others that make watching trackside fun.
Please try to focus on these cars as they might bear the name of your town as they are the only cars out there 😉.
Thank you 😊.
Yes, most of those came past our camera a while back, when they do again we will feature them!
@@joepeach997
Thank you Joe😊.
A focus on the car door of the Cryro cars for the names gives a little more nostalgia to railfaning. Anticipation of your hometown car goes rolling by you is something that's not forgotten among all the cars out there.
Heritage Units are all the relm, even the CSX's "Sprite Of" engines are head end power surprises.
The "Sprite of Cincinnati" has been popping though upstate New York regularly.
Boomer engines, fallen flag cars🏳, different equipment colors, it's nice that the Cryro cars
can give something else to look 👀 forward to 😊.
Thank you VR.😉😊
Another great grab bag! Thank you VR!
Made my day. Thank you for the sunset.
Never saw that many cov coil cars, before…nice!
Gotta love La Grange! 😂❤
I am convinced that there are people who see a train and their brains turn to mush.
Thanks for the lovely music at the end
Really enjoyed the stop-action shots…excellent technique to emphasize unique sites!🎉❤
There still is a Wabash locomotive! I recall a song from long ago called "The Wabash Cannonball"? I just assumed it was a historical reference and a fictional name! Somehow I imagined an old black steam-locomotive spewing smoke!
Fun fact: The Wabash Cannon Ball passenger train was named after The Wabash Connonball song.
@@J3scribe Oh that is cool--thanks for the info!
Fort Madison always looks so pretty when it's all lit up at night, and it was neat to see the Cascade Warehouse cars. Thanks for another great one!
I’m just hoping that most of the cams will cover Solar Eclipse on April 8
From I can tell the good ones should be Fort Worth, Princeton and Deshler
Also, Fostoria OH and Fairport, NY
Train vs cement truck battle royale! I’d still bet on the train. The people in Lagrange come through again to help the driver. Just wish they didn’t have to so often.
There has been a few times in my 21 years career the cement truck won or it was a tie ...
La Grange's grey jacket guy with shopping bag was like, "Yeah, yeah, whatever, ya seen one ya seen 'em all." 😆
Nice GB but you missed a GB Moment in Quincy on Tuesday Night 10:33pm
Beautiful ending!
hello Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy
Terrific video. Thanks for sharing!
Cascade Wearhouse - HQ Salem Oregon.
That was a great catch at Rochelle, IL. Thanks.
The acoustic outros and backgrounds have really upscaled these videos over the year-and-so I've tuned in VRF. Good work to all the curators and editors of the site, cheers from Jax FLA.
Big thanks, YT used to be a Bear about copyright music. And a lot of folks were falsely claiming that some music was theirs. We purchased a subscription to Epidemic Sound and it changed everything. Finding that one song to fit a video is rewarding in itself.
@@joepeach997 You do it so well--thanks for another beautiful ending! 🌹
Cement truck driver probably had to change his pants after that😂
Did NS completely overlook doing a Georgia & Florida Heritage Unit?!!
Awesome!
Great grab bags as always
Heritage power and nice lash ups in Roanoke, huge coil train, and nice lash ups on all Class 1s,nice video Guys!🛤🚂
Wow it's never a boring day at La Grange KY.😂
Nice sunset ❤
It sucks to see those Rail Link locis disbursed like that.
00;59...Hey! My O scale 2 rail track is finally in! 😄
Gotta love a little SpongeBob theme to go along with the grab bag fun 😂
Cement truck = impassible track
@11:27: I know it's a cement mixer, but is it driverless? What's with the solar panels on the front? I'm confused.
If you're talking about 10:27 that's the back not the front. Windshield is under the mixer.
@JustinsRailfanning
I think they're referring to the grillwork over the radiator.
@@maynardcarmer3148 Yep.
Nice catches
The driver of the cement truck should get a job sweeping floors.
Awesome 👍
When are they going to restrict parking on that side of the street at La Grange? Should be "delivery parallel parking only".
Very nice video
0:08 MRL 4306 and and two recently acquired Amtrak Phase VII geeps on the same train!
0:58 sections of straight track being moved on flatbeds
2:55 KCS and two CP units leading a BNSF train
3:33 an entire train of steel coil cars in Wichita!
4:37 Reading & Northern large gondolas
5:50 crew changes in Flagstaff
8:46 Seattle & North Coast boxcar
8:58 CSX 1976 leading solo
9:24 CSX 4580 and 1869 (again at 14:10)
9:36 cement mixer turns on Main Street in La Grange as a freight train approaches, pulled by CSX 1850. If the music was played on steel guitar and ukelele, it could be in SpongeBob!
12:27 the cabbage on this Cascades service is a Phase V one
13:13 this Cascades service has a cabbage in the Cascades livery, but the loco on the rear is a P42
13:40 three trains at once in Rochelle
14:27 UP 1983 as DPU and a broken into container on the other train
14:49 CSX 1982 leading
15:29 cSX doubleheader with CSX hoppers on BNSF tracks
16:17 these Cryo-Trans reefers have facility names on their doors
17:06 Metrolink train with the equipment room doors left open on one of the cars
17:30 I don't think that driver is okay. They waited on the crossing and then drove off before the train got too close
17:58 CSX 3194 as mid-train DPU
*Nice*
Maybe the rabbits were getting ready to hide the eggs.
A number of days ago I saw an NS GE unit with what looked like burnt engine doors rolling through Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I didn't have my camera out and I didn't catch the engine number.
toaster
Nix the waving part.
Has Flagstaff always been a crew change depot?
Does the town of LeGrange get notification from the RR about run schedules?
Wow that CSX engine at 10:01 has a CANADIAN TUNED K3L!!!!!!! I repeat, a CANADIAN tuned, not American tuned K3L horn! That's incredibly rare! I wonder if it used to be ex CP or CN to have aquired such a horn. American locomotives almost never have a Canadian K3L as their horn. Also the Canadian K3L which playes a D sharp minor chord (D#-F#-A#) sounds much better in my opinion than the American K3L which plays a first inversion A major chord (C#-E-A).
Ok, I'll ask the obvious question....was that Riteway going the wrong way? LOL!!
Just stuck on the tracks..lol
At night, the trains look like HO items
4:00 hot wheel detected high pitched squeal early stage of bearing grease is nearly gone.
I think that might be that concrete truck driver's first week.
Or maybe his last!!
And another okay now what do I do in la grange 😊
Weird cement truck!
Sunshine concrete a rather new outfit in Louisville.
Are top gon's rare?
The Easter bunny has arrived
Why is Lagrange so bad Q
Rabbits shade of Watership Down wars...
Вот двойной состав эта частое появление он часто мне попадается на глаза мои но у нас его нет из за движения поездов один уходит другой приходит поэтому они не могут ехать вместе.
11:40 What is it with those drivers in Lagrange? I've seen more idiotic driving there than in any other location. It's almost like proximity to railroad track makes them stoopid!
Might try driving in Boston, MA.
Where was the clip for open doors on Metrolink? Can someone post the time, please? 00:00
17:15
@@helloandhiz Thank You!!
That man should not be allowed to drive that truck again. He's obviously not good at driving that
Yep, La Grange. They were up next on my drama bingo card.
🙂👍👍🚂🚂
I ❤️ the man part
I love God only.

Welcome to La Grange, home of the silent movie wannabes!
Where did this guy get his CDL? Plenty of room between the gate and the tracks...He could've just backed up and turned a little.Let the train go by and move on...🙄
Ruined the La grange clip with that dumb music
Wow….that annoying music with the LaPlata train! 👎🏻
11:00 Why do you stupidly cover sounds with music?
Why that music for La Grange 😡😡? You get a thumbs down for that 😡😡
