Hey Mel, I had the pleasure of meeting you in Texas at Hidden Falls a few years ago. Really enjoyed wheelin with you back then. This video is great, beautiful country. My wife and I just bought a new 21 2dr. Rubicon and we are excited about future off roading trips. We want to get back to Utah soon. Thanks for the great vids, keep up the great work.
Let us know when you make it out there by tagging us in photos/videos on Instagram! We love to see people getting outside for some wheeling! 😎 @drivingline
Thanks Dennis! We're more referring to the Hog Canyon trail system as a whole and wanted to showcase the unique wheel opportunities accessible from the western trailhead and staging area just north of Kanab. 😎 Still good info for those looking for more details in the comments. Always appreciate the call out from those that are really experienced with the area.
@@DrivingLine I will go up there to check it out. I have a Gladiator coming that's somewhat capable and my son has a raised 4Runner with 33 inch on it. We should find something to explore up there... BTW, Peek-A-Boo is well worth the trip...
Most of what your video highlights is actually Tom's Canyon, the hardest part of Hogs Canyon. At 16:30 you missed the trail and took a bypass. Too bad because it's one of the more challenging sections.
Great info, Jake! While this video encompasses the larger Hog Canyon trail system, we wanted to showcase the unique wheel opportunities accessible from the western trailhead and staging area just north of Kanab.
This area is a big network of trails with a wide range of terrain. Pay attention to the signs and know that those indicating the "Most Difficult" trails are not joking: you'll want a well-built Jeep with a skilled driver at the wheel. Without knowing you and your rig, I can't say definitively, but in general I'd think 37" tires, lockers, etc (and some real skill behind the wheel) are strongly advised. Having said all that, this area has plenty to explore even if you stay off the most rugged trails.

Gladiator 💪💪
Think a YJ with 33s could handle some of what yall did fine or depends on the part of the area your at?

Was Harley looking for a trailer out on the trail to bring home?
I Didn't understand the question?
@@melwadeoffroadevolution She has a trailer hitch on her jeep. A good way to get hung up on obstacles.
what front bumper is on Mel's Gladiator?
It's from EVO mfg.
Nitto tire company is really pumping some money into these commercials…
