Grocery stores in Colorado don’t sell 3.2 beer, I live in Colorado. You can also buy full strength beer from a lot of stores in Moab now. Anything under 5%. The food in Moab isn’t great. Everywhere he has mentioned is sub par, but so is everywhere else. Don’t expect fine dining or the best burger you’ve ever had. The best food is the food trucks. Expect school lunch and be happy paying double for it. Nice people though! Love Moab but when we want good food, we cook at camp or in our airbnb however we do it. If you’re in a sxs that’s not plated, you need an OHV non res pass, as well as online course. Hells revenge etc, costs money to go into now (legally). Cash only. If you plan to point to point places in anything other than a jeep, expect to trailer out. Don’t be fooled by trail ratings. Some that say difficult (like hells revenge) are closer to a 5 with obstacles that are 6-9’s. With that said, not all trails have go arounds. Do your research before you decide to “send it”.
If you go in the winter, it’s desolate but a lot of option lines are too slick due to high water/ice. Late Spring is a blast!
Lastly, there is Uber, Instacart and the lot. Don’t drink and drive or be stupid on the roads. Moab cops are posted on every corner looking for the next sucker. It isn’t worth it. Most places can accommodate trailers, but not all. Campgrounds generally say 25ft maximum but unhooked you can stretch that quite a bit. Not all places though. Arches national “dirt roads” aren’t OHV friendly to anything other than jeeps/trucks etc… no sxs. Lastly, have fun but don’t get crazy. It is cliff edge here, and if you don’t stay the trail, it can get deadly. Have fun!

I did Moab during the eclipse last week with the family. With my wife’s stock Lexus lx 470, 2005. Did great, couldn’t see over the hood, everyone expected me to rip every panel off of the vehicle. Filmed everything from inside the cab.

Thank you so much for the video. I would like a recommendation on what tools you should have. I drove a 1991 toyota until 2022 , when I finally purchased a 4x4 tacoma 2022. I can't wait to hit the trails . Thank you again and please keep doing these kind of videos. You will probably save some ones life.

You might talk about bringing a stock vehicle on the trails. I've seen pic of stuck Camery's, etc. Even things like full size pickups or Sport Utes being on varying difficulty levels of trails.

    Loved the video!
I'm going back to So Cal from Atlanta where I was working for 6 months, and plan on hitting Moab on the way in my truck (4x4 Tacoma). I check pretty much every box on your check list (a little thin on spare parts) but have my basic trail tools and recovery gear. What I won't have on this trip is my usual buddies I wheel with, my wife will be joining me, but not another vehicle. We've been out on our own a few times, but usually like to be in a group for spotting, help, fun, etc. The question is, can we have a good 1st visit to Moab on our own, and do some mellower trails? We'll be going through in April.
    Thanks!

I got a non Jeep buggy and planning to head to Easter jeep safari for 2022. I’ve heard that it can be not as friendly to non Jeep guys? Or possibly over crowded in the trails. Would you agree?

The 3.2 law was shut down unfortunately here in Colorado. You used to have to go to mom and pop liquor stores for the real beer. Now that it's so readily available in grocery stores it's hurting mom and pop businesses and limiting choice.

Can a decent built 2 door jk rubicon make it on Pritchard canyon? By this I mean rubicon 44’s with 4:88 and chromoly axles, trussed on 37’s?

Sorry for the late reply! Haven’t really been monitoring this as other stuff has come up. Yeah, you can do Pritchett, I did it in a JKU on 35s, just have a winch handy and don’t go alone

You said hit you up to figure out what parts to bring. I ordered my first Jeep, a '22 JLUR and am planning on heading to Moab at the end of May! I'm pretty sure we will not have room for a drive shaft and some axels and stuff, two adults and a dog plus camping gear will be stuffed in. What in the world should I put in a tool kit for wheeling and what should I bring to Moab?
