I think something people miss about women being career women is the fact that of course, at the workplace, women are expected to produce the same amount and quality of work as men; however, we as women almost cannot do this by nature. We already cannot do half the jobs out there simply because we are not physically strong enough to do it. We go through periods once a month which means we are in pain, hormonal and more emotional once a month.
Sure, the workplace could give us accommodations but due to this limitation, it’s just that much harder for a woman to focus and work as hard or harder than a man if both are trying their best.

Asalamu alaikum, female here lol. I think this was a great ep, you guys hit a lot of important points and as someone who listens to countless podcasts of all topics you guys have the best approach in my opinion. Many people don’t choose their words carefully and because of that they come off the wrong way and turn away all of the women within 5 mins. But allahuma barik you guys have a good and genuine approach and I appreciate that everything you say is backed by Quran or Hadith. As a sister the video was good, feedback- using darling & sweetheart kinda sounds patronising. Also I don’t get why it’s a disliked thing if parents want their daughters to be in this case a gynaecologist. There were women at the time of the prophet ﷺ who were expertise in healthcare & caring for wounded soldiers for example Rufaydah al-Aslamiyah. Overall the podcast was refreshing.

As a revert sister during this time in society I’ve struggled with finding other sisters on deen and really following Quran & Sunnah. Never actually took the time to analyse why muslimahs do what they do. Alhamdulilah i do observe my hijab properly and i literally have seen the effects of it .... i did ngl once wonder why boys would often approach my friends who are not covered and that kinda made me almost cave in to the pressure of current beauty standards but Alhamdulilah halal bros have shown me that i am indeed beutiful and concealing and protecting it does not make me any less but makes me even more beutiful. Brothers - women don’t like being patronised. I think you guys on occasion tend to use that kind of tone. I’m sure you don’t mean it but it makes it tough to keep watching. I don’t want it to grow into something where you alienate female viewers like all others have. Just realising the female perspective is enough to not take you in that direction. Not saying women are faultless, but you said it yourself - communication style is key

I’m still unlearning a lot of the lies I’ve been told. Allahuma barik I think what you said about journalling and taking some days to process our emotions was so on point and resonant with me and probably lots of women too. Thank you for saying that there’s nothing wrong with us for being sensitive and emotional. Redpill ideology mocks women for being too sensitive and therefore inferior, rather than acknowledging those differences are okay and it’s okay for us to be more emotional and not match them. I’ve been through burnout many times and ended up in the hospital diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and sure while I did have episodes that were completely out of the norm for me, I’ve always felt inferior because of my sensitive nature so I hardened myself. it feels cathartic to finally hear muslim podcast bros saying the right things that we need to hear. #feminine 😂

"How well she can scrub my dishes?” so disrespectful, you’re trying to make horrible what Allah made perfectly halal. There were female docs, teachers, business woman during the prophets time. It doesn’t make a woman masculine to be any of these things. Many Muslim woman work part time, make money, but also have plenty of time to do their household chores and is feminine. What you mean is that men FEEL emasculated when a woman makes money because now he has to not just be a provider but show her love and dedication rather than throwing a bill down.

Feminine. Nothing offensive. Very respectful and considerate, this is how you engage with women. thank you.
To the point of children being at a disadvantage when the mother is working etc, I would like to add that within the Asian community, a wife is expected to take care of her husbands parents, often as a detriment to her own children. She doesn't have the emotional energy to be there for her children when she's busy running after the in-laws. Why is this difficult for some men (specifically men, as this was my experience) to understand and how do you communicate this point with men?
Some men don't get the importance of a womans role as a mother and the kind of support she requires to fulfil her role.

Shaving the beard is haram because of the sahih ahadith that clearly state this, and because of the general application of texts that forbid resembling the unbelievers.
Ibn ‘Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Be different from the polytheists; let your beards grow and trim your moustaches.” According to another report: “Trim your moustaches and let your beards grow .”

Coming from a Western non Muslim background I can see exactly where our younger sisters are going wrong. They are being chewed up and spat out by 'Western' morals and values.
1 point I'd like to add though is as Muslims living in the west we should be prepared to home educate our kids so they aren't bombarded 24/7 with all the nonsense kids are being brainwashed with, and to do that we should lower our expectations in regard to lifestyle. Our kids sanity and deen is far more important than any Chanel purse!

As a woman if I need medical care - gynaecology, childbirth, any type of examination or procedure etc, it's my right to ask for female professionals to help. I personally don't want a male doctor or nurse seeing my intimatcy nor examining me, definitely not delivering my baby when it's a very sensitive time and when I'm most vulnerable. But where will the supply of female doctors and nurse come from if the views you're propagating in your podcast is that women should not work. The wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Aisha was a medical doctor in Medina serving the community. Not all women who work are working for money or because a man is not providing. A lot of highly intelligent God fearing decent women are working because Allah opened a path for them to be of service to others. A lot of Muslim women who are experiencing domestic abuse, find refuge in working because it takes them out of their harmful environment for a portion of the day - the Imams tell them to stay and be patient and it's difficult for them to get a divorce. Female social workers, female specialist police who deal with abuse victims, female therapists, female doctors etc are needed and vital to ensure women are protected in vulnerable situations. Men are being emasculated with other men telling them what women should and should not do. A woman working, the type of job she's working, the hours she's working etc is subjective based on what works for her situation and her family's situation with the permission of her husband, as long as she's not doing Haram. The first finance minister of Islam appointed by Umar Khattab was a women. He knew she was the expert in finance and her intelligence surpassed the men of her time in Islamic finance. But not all women should do that. Not all women can be good at everything. It's subjective within the confines and rules of Shariah. To correct something that brother said about the selling of children, actually in Afghanistan women and men are selling 5 years old in marraige to very old men. I've seen it in authentic footage. There have been cases all over the World of mothers selling their daughter to abuse in order to make money. There have been cases of women going out to holiday or party leaving their babies for weeks and days and the babies die alone. Women get defensive when men talk about standards because men are not bringing anything to the table and they talk with a sense of entitlement. I live in a ghetto Muslim neighbourhood and see with my own eye how vulgar and bad mannered men are on the street. As a revert I had to stop wearing Niqaab because of how I was being harrassed by Pakistani men who see it as turn-on. I feel much safer around non Muslim men. They generally open doors, move out of the way, have better social cues. I was harrassed on a bus a few years back. The bus was full of Muslims - Pakistani and Afghanis mainly. None of them helped me. Muslim men are generally weak and not chivalrous like my dad generation was. Do more content teaching men about chivalry, how to eat in public, personal hygiene, opening doors for others, how to defend women in situations etc

    • @fatimaalvi1681

@Abdullah-dk4ej She is right about Pakistani men. Not just Pakistanis, the majority of men from the Indian subcontinent have the same disgusting mindset of viewing women as sexual objects. Any woman from the subcontinent will tell you the same thing. Their minds haven't evolved. They are conventional, not religious. I am not being a hater when I say this, it is the sad reality. You cannot walk down the road without hearing lewd comments. Women who use public transport are often groped.
This sense of entitlement comes from the fact that it's a male dominated society and often they are not held accountable for their behavior. It is this hypocrisy and double standards that has led to the growth of feminism.

@Abdullah-dk4ej She is right about Pakistani men. This kind of behavior is very common in the Indian subcontinent and often it is condoned. Since it's a male dominated society, men are often not held accountable for misbehavior. Most men here are simply conventional, not religious. They impose religion on women but do not practice it as much themselves. It is this hypocrisy and double standards that has led to the growth of feminism. @@fatimaalvi1681 men are being brainwashed to believe women should stay indoors and that the men need to go out and be entrepreneurs and earn 6 figure salaries. This is a harmful pressure on men and women. People who earn 6 figure salaries and people who are millionaires, don't keep the economy running. It is the hard working working class and small businesses that keep the economy running - janitors, mechanics, the local family businesses, electricians, construction workers, bus drivers, railway workers, subway drivers, taxi drivers, receptionists, office staff, convenience store owners, barbers, front line healthcare support staff etc. These jobs are respectable and carry no shame. Not every man wants to be a millionaire and not every woman wants to marry one. I certainly don't. Most of the women I know would be happy with a masculine man who they have spiritual harmony and connection with, someone they can have conversations with who takes an interest in them, has good social skills, has good character and integrity, has good hygiene, is hardworking, would defend her to his own parents, brings food to the table, pays the Essential bills and can take her and the kids on 1 ur 2 holidays once in a while. That can be done on a working class or middle class salary. The black and white absolute rights and wrongs being presented to people through the milllenial online bros about what people should do is very dysfunctional. A lot of women here in the UK are telling their fathers they don't want to persue a professional skills but want to stay at home, be anti 9-5 and earn 6 figures as life coaches. Like dude... Your 20 years old what could you possibly coach anybody on. If I want advice I'll sit in the masjid at gatherings and ask the elderly women for advice. They've walked the path and been through issues.

@@Swed813 You are spot on sister. I feel exactly the same. It takes all sorts to make the world. Not everyone is meant to be an entrepreneur. For a society to function properly we need the services of doctors, lawyers, teachers, labourers, the regular office goers, etc., and not just entrepreneurs.
While there is nothing wrong with being a stay-at- home mom, it's not a viable option for everyone. All these podcast bros are pushing this idea that women don't need to work. We can't afford to be out of sync with the realities of our time.

Unfortunately, we live in a time where everyone is chronically online and get their knowledge from people who are chronically online. IN REALITY, people are absolutely different.
The internet and social media are influenced by a series of codes that record what you say and interact with then influence what you consume. The more you consume rpill the more rpill you get and then introduced to more extreme rpill. The more the drama and beauty content you interact with then the more you’re exposed to. The more bbl bikini baddies the more you get.

Don’t forget that so many women find fulfillment in humanitarian work or more nurturing occupations. We are half of humanity. There NEED to be women in the workforce. I’m not saying to exceed the bounds that Allah has set.
I have a back injury, I’m a revert and divorced. My spine doctor had to be a man, and the team who administered my pain management was 2 men and a woman 😐 like the options are not out there as it is.
