I am so happy you read & loved Flowers for Algernon. This is the first book I remember reading when younger that really impacted me & made me love reading :)
I read my first Stephen King book this summer and loved his writing. 11/22/63 is definitely one I'd recommend for you to read! Also because it has been turned into a series with James Franco :))
I liked Fangirl but its not a book I could see being in love with, Levi was probably one of the best characters I liked in it, it was Cath I didnt much. I read 9 new books, 4 rereads which is a slower month for me too. Fantastic Beasts, Im just obsessed with it and am loving all the dicussion videos to just chat about it.
Just gotta say, I never ever read any kind of thriller/crime but your reviews of some make me so intrested Im gonna go for it so thanks for opening my eyes to more genres!

I didn't enjoy it either. I was super excited to read it because there was so much hype going on but I got so bored and ended up skipping the fanfiction bits alltogether just to get through the book lmao
i didnt read the book of Fantastic Beasts (and i might not, since its just the script) but i saw the movie and i thought it was amazing! both the movie and you inspired me to actually start reading harry potter which i (surprisingly) have not actually read before (have seen the movies though) so im super excited! only on sorcerers stone right now but its super good so far! (also i am one one of those people who gives 5 stars to every book lol)

If you like weird books you should read Nevernight. It's high fantasy about an assassin bent on revenge but the narrator is unreliable and it amazing. I just added most of these books to my want to read on goodreads!
The Dark Tower series by Steven King is pretty popular. I only read the first book. It was kind of weird, but interesting. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction if you're interested!
I bought the Mistborn trilogy a few days ago with some of my birthday money, I saw it an immediately remembered hearing about it in your videos, it looks super interesting and I hope to get to it soon :)
Misery is the best book of SK for me if you are looking something like thriller, but if you want to read something that is more in the sad way you should try the green mile 💙
Glad you tried Stephen King. I've been trying to read all of his books in order of publication (up next for me is Christine). I would recommend Salem's Lot of all that I've read so far. It is the only book that has made me so scared I couldn't get to sleep which is rare for me. I also really liked The Shining and Cujo.
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon is one of Stephen Kings books that has always stuck with me, it's different than a lot of his other ones. But I second Everything's Eventual and I also loved Liseys Story (but I think I'm in the minority there). Did you finish The Black Prism? I haven't checked to see if it's in another video yet but I LOVED it. I bought it on audible when I saw it on your list and the narrator was amazing. I devoured all four books in like a week!

If you're looking for more books about psychopaths, you should definitely check out the I Hunt Killers trilogy by Barry Lyga. It's about a 17 year old whose father is a famous serial killer and him trying to figure out how to continue living his life after his father is arrested. Really awesome series with some super interesting insights into the brains of psychopaths. Highly recommend!
I'm too old for this ship Yeah, it is a trilogy and I think it's totally worth continuing on. I personally think it got better and more intricate with every book and I really loved them!

Hey Emily! Love your videos! I'm a huge Stephen King Fan & my recommendations would be Misery (a traditional thriller) or Different Seasons (a collection of shorts stories) 📖 All of his novels are great to me tho!

LOVED fantastic beast, I've only seen the movie (the book isn't out here yet) but I found the characters really relatable and they keep that atmosphere that made Harry Potter Harry Potter. You can ser that it's only the begining of a series they have to present this whole new world, and though the arc of some characters isn't complete or aren't completely involved in the main conflic I loved them and can't wait to see what they are going to do next and defenetly hogwarts is the best wizading school of the world hahaha

I have also read Eleanor and Park and while I did like their relationship a bit more, I still the book was just okay. Love this channel so much :) For the book unwind- I think it might be pronounced-un-whine-d which is a word that means "undo or be undone after winding or being wound." This might help you understand the title more. Just mentioning it since I know english isn't your first language! And if I just misunderstood how you said it, I apologize!
I totally agree with you about Fangirl! I heard so many people raving about the book and then when I read it, it was a huge disappointment. I loved "Eleanor and Park" but the book just felt too long and too boring.
If you want more books about sociopaths you should read the book Darkly Dreaming Dexter, it's part of the dexter series. It was a really interesting read, and was much better than the tv show. I would really recommend it
About Stephen King, apart from the classics, I think you'd like Misery. And just out of curiosity The Long Walk because I really want to know your thoughts about it.

My Sister Rosa seems up my alley. And with most YA book now a days I have a feeling that they would have been better as adult book. You should read The Shinning I found it was as good as the hype.
I've only read Landline by Rainbow Rowell, and I didn't like it at all. But I own most all of her standalones (stupid of me)... The fail of a first try made me don't want to continue with her books.. I'll give her another chance, but no more, I think. Oh, the Library... I tried it in October, but wasn't feeling it. Will give it another go.
It took me a little while to get into it! It took me a few days to read the first half and only one day to finish it! It's weird but it did get interesting (for me at least!)
You should check out 11/22/63, Stephen kind excelled on this one. Story about an English teacher who goes back in time to save JFK . I'm almost half way through and it's so fast paced and action backed. Stephen king takes his time with action and not the fastest reads but this is a different story. It's big book though, over 800 pages. Strongly recommend, even though I'm still reading it.
I wasn't a big fan of Fangirl either, it was okay, but it just seemed stereotypical to me. The companion one though, Carry On I think it is? That's freaking amazing so I would recommend to go ahead and read that even though you didn't like Fangirl. And the only Stephen King book I've read (I don't really read 'scary' books, because I like to sleep lol) is Cell, and I loved that one, so I'd definitely recommend it! :)

Finally a booktuber who didn't like Fangirl. I personally don't think the book deserves all the praise it gets since I think Rainbow Rowell's books are problematic but I guess... 😞
