PeruseProject I also read Three dark Crowns this month. I loved it! I was shocked to read so many negative reviews on Goodreads
PeruseProject Reading Three Dark Crowns now and I thought the first 50-60 pages were slow just because we got so rich and detailed of a backstory for each triplet, but now I'm loving it!
I read it too! But it was so predictable...:( Didn't you feel like that at all?
Marit de Vries Haven't finished yet so no spoilers please! So far finding Mirabella's arc most enjoyable and haven't gotten to many major twists but I would say it's at most a 4-star halfway through so I guess I agree to a point.
I feel like the writing almost let the book down a little?

November was a bad month for me. I only read Gone Girl but it's one of the best books i've read this year! :)
The plot twist at the end of Three Dark Crowns was amazing! I loved this book so much!

Noah Miguel I think Star Trek is a bit more accurate too. I know there's actually an episode of TNG that's a bit similar, but a lot less dark.
three dark crowns is about bees and i need people to understand this. No one mentions that it's basically how bees work, and i know that's not necessary known but it's so cool! everyone needs to know this!

My problem with Three Dark Crowns was that I was bored throughout most of it until the end. It was super slow and there were so many characters that I felt like bogged down with information. That being said, the END was so good! I feel like I'll like the rest of the series more just because we can skip the establishing and just dive in to the rivalries and such.

I loved Three Dark Crowns but I predicted the ending early on in the novel
TDC. Oh em gee. I finished it 2 days ago and I'm like...when's the next one? Only to find out it's sometime next year?! I couldn't find a date. Like hello, I can't wait that long! Arsinoe was my fav I think, for some reason I really connected with her and just loved her!
I am absolutely obsessed with Three Dark Crowns. Every negative review I read of it hurts my heart because I never found it slow because I was always so eager to read and know more. I love the characters and the world and magic. I just loooooved it

Illuminae is just so incredible. Won't lie, I'm nervous for Gemina because I very rarely like or even read companion sequels.

I really enjoyed Three Dark Crowns and can't wait for the next book, especially after that cliffhanger. I also loved Illuminae and read and loved Gemina this month as well! I can't wait for the next book in that series either.. I'm looking forward to too many books.. lol

I read illuminae for November too. It was amazing!!!
Same with the whole being anxious for the well-being of the characters in Illuminae! I don't think I've ever been that invested. But I didn't have the same thing with Gemina, either. I think I was less connected to the characters, as well.

I read Illuminae over the summer and fell soooo in love with it!! I'm hoping to get Gemina for xmas, but so far Illuminae has been my favourite book of the year and has got be on such a sci-fi kick!!

You've sold me on Three Dark Crowns! I read Anna Dressed in Blood at halloween and didn't love it as much as I was hoping to, but Three Dark Crowns sounds almost completely different, and the way you described the politics of it definitely has me hooked :)

Reagan! Now that you've finished reading Illuminae and Gemina you should listen to the audiobooks, they're so amazing and have sound effects and it's all so dramatic and my god its like listening to a movie! XD

I really wanna read TDC but I hate reading a series where all the books aren't out yet! My only exception was ACOTAR, (of course), because I knew I'd be happy to re-read and re-read until my heart was content! My favourite book of the month was Easy by Tammara Webber, which has been on my tbr pile for a while, and I'm so glad I picked it up! It was amaaaaazing.

Three Dark Crowns was amazing! I loved it so much; I finished it in 3 days -- heh.
My favorite read this past month has to be Caraval by Stephanie Garber. And I have to say Diabolic sounds really good. I'm going to have to add it to my TBR list :)
I agree with you 100% about Gemina. I loved illuminae but felt like gemina wasn't as good because you kinda have more idea of what's happening. The ending still slayed me though, didn't see it coming!! I think I gave gemina 4 stars or 4.5.
I've been super busy with school and barely have time to sleep let alone read lol. So I only finished one book- Of Mice and Men- which was for school. I thought it was very fascinating and thought provoking though. I'm reading Empire of Storms and have been for a couple weeks and ALL I WANT TO DO IS SPEND TWO DAYS JUST READING IT AND GETTING TO THE END BECAUSE IT'S SO GOOD.
I feel better about buying Three Dark Crowns now :) I'm currently loving Six of Crows. I also finished the first Outlander book and OMG! I don't usually read adult novels but Sasha from ubookutopia raved about it so I gave it a chance and I am in love!!

I really liked the Witches of East End series by Melissa de la Cruz and Eyes like Leaves by Charles de Lint (So cool to finally find a well written fantasy stand-alone).
The last one was a very nice surprise. What a nice form and source of magic (I am not gonna spoil it since it is at least partly uncleat what it exactly is until the end of the book). I loved it.
Three dark Crowns and Illuminae are books that sound very interesting. Maybe I'll pick them up later, when I have brought down my sixty book to read pile to a more comfortable ten or twenty books.

I only got through the last three Song of Ice and Fire books, which I'm actually okay with because they are chunky books.
I Have Illuminae for so long but I didn't read it yet, I hope I Will enjoy this book, because If it's a Regan's recommendation, I'll definitely check this out.

Hey Regan, if you are looking for a spectacular science fiction/political drama series, I highly suggest Pierce Brown's Red Rising trilogy! It's an amazing book series that I think you would really enjoy!

I had a problem calling Gemina 'Gemini' too. Only that was to one of the authors faces... I'm fairly sure Amie Kaufman picked up on it but was kind enough to just brush it off.

Now that I've caught up with the booktube community and read most of the really popular series I've realized that local bookstores don't have most of the books that are talked about (and I want to read). I'm gonna have to start buying them online or have the stores order them for me xD
Three Dark Crowns sounded really cool to me, but I couldn't finish it. The writing style didn't work for me, and the pacing felt really off.

I read Illuminae on October and I really like it!! but the ending it was just like not for me I mean you know that the entire book and the situations were so "brutal" to have such a nice and sweet happy ever after I just didn't buy it. 4.5/5 stars for me, I'm still so exiting to pick up Gemina soon
