    Just wanted to say thanks for another informative video. I have been following your channel for some time, and although I have been gardening for many years, there's always new stuff to learn.     I just bought some dahlia tubers at a big box store ( starting with the less expensive ones ) and thanks to your teaching I wound up with four instead of three, Thank you so much.

    My Pooh Swan Island Collarette Dahlia is arriving in the mail today. It is my first dahlia, so your videos are extremely helpful. I'll be putting it in sawdust, and in a container, but should I mist it, or the sawdust before storing it for the winter?

      Hi there, it really depends where you live and whether you have a humid environment. I never mist mine - we need to keep them as dry as possible in our wet humid weather here in UK.

      @@cottoverdi Hello, I live in Crescent City, Ca., and it is a coastal climate, and the humidity today is 79%. It rains from October to May, so I put the tuber in a ziplock bag with peat moss, and then in a cardboard box in the garage. Hope that works!
