Russel drinking Laura’s drink in the background while she is none-the-wiser! 😂
Haha! I saw this too! I came here to say “Russell totally drank your drink while you were out of the greenhouse” 😂
I used to assume that my cat had stolen any unattended drink and I needed a fresh one.
😂😂😂
I had to go back and re-watch the beginning to see Russell’s antics! He’s such an entertainer.
🤣🤣🤣
Russell helping himself to a cool refreshment 😂
😂🤣😂
🤣I spied that too! I just love that cat!
I laughed so hard! Looked like seltzer water to me.
I noticed that too.
I saw that too.
I guess a lot of subscribers saw Russell taking a sip of Laura's drink while she was talking to us. It was so cute. Russell and Chedder are such adorable kitty cats. Thanks for the talk on Dahlias. They are such a beautiful flower.
Oh my goodness I am so happy you posted this!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
My Molly likes to steal my milk. Keep telling her it's not good to drink milk.
I had to go back and watch too! 1:31
I watched it a second time just focusing on Russell. The cats need their own channel. Imagine how fun dubbing in cat thoughts!
Sounds like a great idea for a fan channel.
Yes! They could have it as a short!
Totally agree! The Russel and Cheddar show!😻😻😻
Cat thoughts with Benjamin's voice!
@@charmainerohde8575 yes like Penny the talking cat!
Russell...what a cheeky fellow!!! I still love seeing his extra digit paws every time he's into your garden space (although this time he was also drinking Fresca!)
And Cheddar was in the root cellar when Laura was getting the dahlias. Such good little "helpers." lol
Russell is drinking your Fresca! I love that stuff. I’m surprised a cat would drink it though! 😂❤😂❤😂❤
My cat and frenchies both will drink my coffee!
Good morning everybody! Enjoy Nature Today!
Love your channel!
You too!!!!🌸
Ok it’s decided… Russell and Cheddar need their own special (or maybe even their own channel!) I’d love to see them exploring during the day. Bet it’s a RIOT! 🐈
🌷Good morning Laura and GA Friends. Russell is so fun and funny, then licking his paws. It’s always a great day in Laura’s world …. Ya never know! Enjoy the day everyone 🌸🌱💚
As so many noted, I love Russell helping himself to a refreshing beverage this morning!!
I had to go back an find where Russel was sneaking a drink! 😂 at 1:20, sure enough! He really wanted to be featured in today’s video!!! 💚💚💚
I was looking for the time stamp because I missed it, thanks 😂
Thanks, I missed it also. Russell is entertaining! 😂
Thanks for the timestamp!
Thank you so much!
I love how you show the mishaps too. That is how it all stays relatable . As I was opening mine, I kept saying “ yep it happens to Laura too”thank you thank you😊
Same getting mine ready yesterday ❤
Laura & Aaron your videos have become such a staple in my daily routine over the last 2 years. I find myself starting my day in my office by watching the new video of the day. My husband and I recently purchased a historic home 100+ years old and it is really forcing me to step up my gardening game since it is covered in hydrangeas. (Around 60 at last count) Love your videos and the confidence that you give your audience!
At 1:21 Russel helping himself to Laura’s beverage🤣 In the wise words of my dear niece, sharing is caring! Enjoy your mamas drink or ice Russel😹
I have watched this video, along with several others of yours, multiple times over the past six months or so as I learned how to care for Dahlias after sprouting seeds and being a total beginner. I am now dividing and storing tubers with ease thanks to you and you alone. I cannot ever express my gratitude enough, you have made me a confident Dahlia gardener, and I absolutely fell in love with these flowers in all their varieties. From the greenest part of my heart, thank you so very much!
Don't you just love looking at all the blooms in here.
Yes, looks like spring is coming. 🌷🌹🌹🌺
@@tvcat3665 I love your avatar 😉
I'm surprised Ken didn't put a funny emoji by the kitty drinking Laura's Fresca LOL
He could circle it! Haha!
@@kathyaakananabluebird or even draw an arrow↙⬇↗⬆➡↘↪↩⤵⤴! That was a hoot.
Good morning, Laura, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 🌺🇺🇸
I love watching you divide your Dalhias with such precision 👍
Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾 👍 💓
Russell is drinking your ice water! 😸
My husband just came home with a massive dahlia tuber. I’d say it was a gift but he’s a dahlia lover to the core lol
Good morning, GA and everyone around the world!
Good Morning! 🌞Russell wants to help or wants attention! I always enjoy watching the process! 🐈🐈🌸🌸🌿💚
Morning, it looks like Russell was enjoying your water.
I can’t wait to see how the ones you wintered over in the garden do. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I have many dahlia tubers too. Great to watch your process this morning. Mine won't go outside until mother's day. It is a lot of work. I give away all the extras to friends. I have several friends who trade with me. What a fun hobby. Sometimes I give away many flowers for weddings. Love being able to share this way. I'm certainly my HAPPY PLACE out in my dahlia garden.
When Laura came back in the green house. Russell was sitting there so innocent like he hadn’t been doing anything!!😊❤
😆 Russell drinking your drink. Dahlias are so beautiful.
Russel and Chedder are just like siblings, one minute they’re fighting, then getting into mischief and the next thing you find them snuggled up together sleeping! Love them!🐈🐈
This reminded me of my mom's trip to the basement to check on her dahlia's in early spring... Life just zooms by without us taking time to stop and divide the dahlia's!
it's amazing what grows from weird looking tubers and tiny little seeds, isn't it? a real testament to "don't judge a book (flower) by its cover" 🤩🤩and as noted by several of us already - that Russell... "she won't even know" (until she sees the playback, lol)... silly cats.... 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
Can’t wait to see what Laura says in the recap!
Love seeing Cheddar and Russell sitting together in the same chair enjoying themselves!
The greenhouse is looking spectacular! Still quite a bit of work even with just pulling a clump each! I think your in-ground experiment was such a good idea, I hope it’s wildly successful.
Russell is a hoot! Loving his Fresca!
Good morning!!
Hi Laura! The best part was watching Russel drinking your soda, seeing Cheddar in the root cellar and the two of them in the chair together. Thank you so much for sharing!
Good morning! Expecting more snow here in MN this week. (But still eagerly looking forward to spring!)
Your dahlia tour video last summer inspired me to try several new varieties this year 😊
I started dahlias from seed a few weeks ago inside and they are growing like crazy. Maybe I started a little too soon 😂😂😂
HAHA! RUSSELL IS LICKING YOUR ICE CUBES!! 💜I LOVE IT😂
Good morning 🌱☕️
Thank you so much for sharing so much with us!!!! THE ABSOLUTE BEST GARDENING CHANNEL!!!!!!
I laughed out loud when Russel was sipping from your glass!! Had to watch my cats all the time! I’m sure I have taken a drink after they did, more than I want to know! Love your kitties❤️
Lol I chuckled about Russell
Oh Russell! I left my dahlias in the ground this year also. What a great experiment
I’m making maple syrup today and doing a ton of seed starting as well as presprouting ranunculus. We still have snow and cold weather in upstate New York. Time to check my dahlias. I divide in the fall and store in vermiculite in my finished basement so I have to mist them a couple times during the winter to keep them from drying out.
Good morning! So many dahlia tubers, love the dahlias. It’s always fun to see Russell & Cheddar in videos. Missed Russell getting a drink from Laura’s glass!
oh how I wish I had the space to grow dahlias. our lot is way to shaded for them. might try some in a planter this year. you inspire me. you really should give Russell his own glass with ice.
Someone looks very thirsty. I think he loves your drink LOL
Fresca! My drink of choice, too Russell.
Gardening is my therapy but I live in Minnesota zone 4. I so appreciate your videos and learning what you’re able to accomplish before the ground thaws. Thank you!!!
Good morning! 🌻🐝
Our Dahlias along the warm foundation make it through each winter. The ground doesn't freeze and the soil sheds the winter water well. Good luck with the experiment! I hope it works out! 😀
Last year was my second season with my dahlia cut flower garden. I was able to grow, dig, clean, store, divide, and multiply my crop. I dug them again in November, cleaned them and set them on a table in my barn, to prepare for packing. I left them too long and sadly lost most all of them. I kept some saying "there has to be ONE that didn't die." Fingers crossed. I tried to look at the bright side - I got to buy new tubers and plan to label them this time. It was so sad to lose them all - Lesson learned - let them dry for 1 DAY...not one week. Thanks for inspiring me!
I believe Laura is sharing her drink!!
Your a fellow Fresca sister my favorite! I love watching you. I’ve been gardening for years started out gardening with my papa. Me and my husband just bought more property moved and now building a house. My husband thinks I’m crazy because I’m gardening before we have our house done. Priorities right 😂
Russel is so adorable, He tells Laura "I am the foreman,so I have to inspect what you are doing". If you are doing your job his way.😼😻
Didn’t know you could pre sprout them… but luckily, I don’t have to dig them up in DFW… have a hard tie with rununculus and a few other bulbs, but Summer blooming bulbs U can over winter in ground are life changing! So great for beginner gardeners & gardens!
I keep telling my fam to grow them bc of how easy they are, esp in Texas… I wouldn’t want to dig them up either! Live the idea of covering with tarp AND mulch… often have an issue with water, bc nothing else explains why they didn’t grow.
Gotta love the cats in this video! 😂 I think I even heard the cats fighting in the background at 6:52! 🤣
Not gonna have any water left. Russell loving that ice water!!!!!
Russell is enjoying a nice refreshing drink! 🙂
Russell is so affectionate. I love his feet. We don't get to see Cheddar as much. Russell enjoyed your Fresca. 😂
Pre-sprouting is a great idea. I have seen some pretty sad looking tubers be viable and this is a great way to check.
Thanks for the reminder, heading down into my cellar to check on them. I am in zone 7 now, I still do not trust that, but I dug mine up, not nearly the amount you have, but I absolutely love them.
i just love those kitties. they are so fun to watch. . . sparring. . .sleeping. . . drinking out of your cup. . . .precious.
Thank you for the dahlia info, always love and appreciate your videos. The cats keep it real!🤗
Good morning Laura and family, 🐈s
🧃🐈 L🤣L I couldn't stop laughing.
Love when you do your tubers, lots of good information. Have a great rest of the day. 👋🙂🌱🌸.
We had a cold front come in yesterday the wind is nippy, cold today also ( Oklahoma Panhandle, Texas County USDA zone 6b. 👋
I'm so curious to see how your overwintering experiment goes! Two falls ago I missed a few tubers as I was digging them up, and they came back (with no mulch and sub-zero winter temps!) last spring. I was shocked, as I'm also zone 6 and thought they would never survive our winters. My success rate with tuber storage has been terrible, so this past fall I decided to just leave them all in the ground and see what happens this spring. Even if only half survive, that's better than my success rate at storing the tubers. :)
Laura
I’m in 7a and my dahlias survive in the ground with no mulching. I’m sure yours will come back. Dahlias are hardier than reported
Same for me I’m in 7b.
This was so enjoyable. It's an exciting time of year! I just added a grow light area down in the basement so that I can grow the ranunculus and anemones at a cooler temperature until I can get them outside.
Russel in Laura's drink!! 🤣🤣🤣 Priceless!!
The cats seem to always steal the show!🥰
I am trying dahlias for the first time this year. 🤞
We have lots of snow in the forecast for this weekend. I just pulled out my plumerias, begonias and elephant ears. Next on to the Cannas, caladium and annuals/veggie seeds. Hopefully I can get all of that done before the dahlias arrive.
This video is packed with lots of great information. I learned a lot about how to store and grow dahlias. Thanks Laura
Perfect timing my dahlias look about like yours! Hopefully we get some to sprout! Good growing! 💚🌸🌺💚
I bought a mixed pack of "Butterfly and Bee" bulbs from Costco that had two pink HS Juliet dahlias in it and they were in great big clumps with like 15 tubers on each. Some of them were dried out and 3 broke off but there were so many I'm hopeful I still get lots of blooms. I've never tried growing dahlias before so I'm watching everything! This was helpful.
Russell staying hydrated 😂
Goodmorning 😊
The kitty loves himself some Fresca!! 😂😂❤❤
This is my first time trying dahlias and I'm doing it from seed.
Always nice to share with kitty!
Oh my!! I love Russell helping himself to Laura’s drink!! My grand daughter has a Yorkie and her Daddy had set his glass of tea on the floor beside his chair and wasn’t paying any attention and I looked and Cricket was helping herself to his iced tea!!❤❤😂😂
@15:00 look at those gorgeous pink primrose in the background! What a pretty backdrop 😍 My dahlias are still sleeping; waiting until April here in zone 6B to presprout due to space issues. So excited for this season!
I see Russell likes Fresca.
Last year I pre-sprouted my dahlias and potted them up with you and had beautiful flowers for so much longer in my zone 3 garden (the year before they didn’t bloom till September). This year, I discovered my pre-sprouting tray with the tubers that didn’t sprout last year (oops). When I went to throw them out, I discovered one was sprouting! I potted it up and it is growing beautifully! Zombie dahlia!
Im growing Dahlia this year for the 1st time and I can't wait to see the beautiful flowers they make.
Love your "ho ho ho" when you lift a big clump. . . just like Santa!
Russell is just living his best kitty life!
Russell😂. Enjoying Laura’s refreshing Fresca ♥️
Good morning from Delaware GA friends.
This is the first time I’ve seen your videos. I loved watching your process of dividing and pre-sprouting Dahlias. I live in Queensland, Australia so my seasons don’t match yours but I can still learn from you. Thanks.
Wow... l am so impressed with your level of commitment!
Never leave your drink unattended in the club…😂
Russell was thirsty drinking some of Laura’s ice water. Wait a go Russell. I got dahlias for the first time last year because of you. They were beautiful and full full plants. Then they decided to get aphids or something and all 4 of them graduate died. I took them apart and no tubers. 😢. Great video hopefully everything goes great with them. Loved seeing Russell and Cheddar. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us. Appreciated.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Love this segment learned a lot. Thank you.
This made me go check my tubers today! They look good and I'm so excited. First time ever storing dahlias for me! Thanks for all the great tips!
I love your videos! You have taught me so much in the 2 years I have been following you. I grew dahlias for the first time last year from tubers and they looked stunning in my garden, and got so many compliments on them. It was all thanks to your videos, tips and inspiration. Thank you Laura! :)
WOW! That is lots of work.
Everyone loves the way my greenhouse turned out thanks to you show me how to make the tables workbench it really made it work out great thank you so much
Such patience!
Oh, my! Your greenhouse is such a gorgeous backdrop for this video. I unearthed my Dahlia tubers just yesterday to see how they were doing. It looks like I will have some to plant again. Thanks for all the incredible teaching!
Thank you! I never knew how to properly separate the tubers. All these years no wonder I've had so many fails with separating healthy tubers. Thank you for showing us.
