So happy I stumbled across your channel last night and subscribed. I now find myself watching your videos after a rough day at work and feeling the anxiety decrease after watching the entire video. For some strange reason, this video was extremely relaxing.
I'm a fairly new subbie since purchasing a little camera before the world fell apart and you've taught me a lot! You've given me thousands of dollars worth of information.
Wow thanks so much for all of your tips ! You’re tips sounds really helpful for me and it help me understand a lot of things about this famous cinematic look ! Thanks 🙏
Hi Jeven I would have to say that this is one of the best videos that you have ever done. I’ve never had anyone explain what cinematic is as well as you have. Thanks for your great videos. Pat Hogarty
Hey man, you did a video a while back on your file network and data basing. I was wondering if you had a 2020 update!? I'm curious on the actual back up hardware and system you're using. Also do you edit out of that system or move the files onto your desktop drive to edit, then archive. Just trying to figure out my own workflow. Thank you sir!
my guy - probably one of my favorite videos you've made. back to back to back (and back) knowledge bombs. hope you're holding-up ok, sure isn't slowing you down!
Thanks! All is well down here. Yeah I decided to spend more time on videos and release less so that they can be better quality. Hope you're staying sane up north
Brilliant video Jeven! Thanks brother. Brought me a ton of practical eye openers and lots of wisdom into my filmmaking and production workflow. Much appreciated!
Great video. I am working on my own channel and your videos help so much. Every time I watch one of your videos I take something away to help me improve. Thank you so much. Stay safe and sane.
Clean and simple probably the best video on this subject I watched. Nowadays In UA-cam world everything with cine bars and slow motion is cinematic and BROLL of course 🙄
Yeah UA-cam has become all about the b roll and less about story unfortunately. B roll is important for most videos but what gets old is the unnecessary b roll. Just adding slow motion sequences because it 'looks cool' is really annoying vs using b roll to effectively tell your story.
Great content as always mate. Stay safe and keep your spirit high during these challenging times. All your videos are great and very useful so thank you.
Thank you so much Jeven.. I love your channel I'm a beginner and just starting from fundamentals of film making, (just a basic B-Roll).. I always have pen & paper and taking notes of what I learned from your channel. Learning new stuff in your new channel! you deserve more than a million subscriber for sharing your experience knowledge for beginners and pro film makers. God Bless Bro!
What a great way to explain all the topics, with a nice flow and good images to show them at the same time. I really like this video, with all the setup in your studio and find it interesting to see, that you used two cameras and one of them is moving!! Again a great explain, flow and good editing work. Love your channel and the topics you publish. 😀💪👍
Thank you Jeven! Thanks to your past review on gimbals, I've been inspired to start up my own UA-cam channel! I just posted one of my first videos this morning about my thoughts on my gimbal. Keep these videos coming as they help us start-up You Tubers!
@@JevenDovey thats makes me happy. I know what it feels like when you kinda loose a bit of yourself... but happy you feel back on track. Which ever those tracks are I eill enjoy the ride 😁
Hi jeven as always really interesting, a lot to learn here, but your tips always helps and inspire, you really know your stuff for sure, keep them coming mate.
Jeven your videos are great. Really well presented in way that its easy to understand. I retry and apply a little of these things but don’t se and SLR so i guess my options are limited. I use an iPhone 12, Insta360 One X2 and DJI Spark. Couloir grading i have found makes so much difference to the look of a video
A drone is a great tool for slider shots. Try using drones with slow movements close to the ground. you can get some really cinematic shots like sliders and jibs
Jeven Dovey Sure thing. I’m going to try the tripod mode. Still need more practice. I have a Zhiyun Q I’ll try using for our worship service. Thank you again.
Thank you JD . I got to use so many techniques for my own channel. I really appreciate all your great tips and effort you put into your tutorials :D Aloha and be safe.

The mention of 2:1 aspect ratio was interesting. Using FCPX, I’m trying 2160 x 1080 to test that as I already shoot at 2.7k on the Osmo Pocket.
Lots of people are watching from phones and 2:1 looks good on a phone
Jeven Dovey I’m testing it on tonight’s vlog!
I have so much to learn from you

Wow! I learned more about photography from this short video than the stupid “masterclass” I took of fancy photographers 🤷🏽♂️
I love this video and your explanation of everything. What do you feel was your biggest obstacle when it came to getting that cinematic feel?
Honestly it’s time. Creating cinematic footage that looks really good just takes time to setup and create.
