  • Have you been disappointed with store bought GF bread? In this video I show you how I make GF bread in a bread machine. The bread comes out light, fluffy and delicious every time! The best part of all, is I can put all the ingredients in the machine in under 5 mins and a few hours later have fresh GF bread!

    My husband just bought me one of these for my birthday and I AM IN LOVE 😂 I’ve been making fresh bread at least twice a week.

      I average 3 to 4 loaves a week now! You can’t beat the taste of homemade bread 😋

    I have used Pamela's mix and my bread machine and I love it. When you make the raisin bread do you add anything else to it? More sweetener or cinnamon? That is something I really miss.

      I use a cinnamon sugar mix.
      3 Tbsp brown sugar
      1 Tbsp cinnamon
      The trick that I find works really well is to add the cinnamon sugar mix towards the end of the last mix cycle on the bread machine. Most bread machines beep when it’s time for add ins (like raisins). Usually after the beep the machine continues to mix for about 5 mins. Usually halfway thru that I slowly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mix in. It gives it a nice swirl. I usually use about 1/2 cup raisins and my machine has a compartment that you load and it drops it in automatically.
      I also use the sweet bread setting on my bread machine for cinnamon raisin bread.

    The recipe on Pamela's bread mix says to not use the GF setting. Have you tried it both ways? Seriously considering buying a bread maker now.

      I’ve tried it both ways and found the gluten free setting works better. The GF setting on the bread machine only has 1 rise cycle compared to the other settings which usually have 2 rises. GF bread only needs 1 rise. The bread machine has been a total game changer for my family. Not only is it more cost effective then buying store bought GF bread, but the taste and texture are so much better!! 😋🍞

    Someone gave me a 4 pound bag of El Maizel corn flour, it's gluten free. I was wondering if it can be used in a bread maker and how...so thank you!

      I have no idea 🤔. I would assume you could use a bread machine, probably the sweet bread setting. It would of course come out like cornbread. I would check out a few recipes online and see if you have any luck.

    Is that the Pamela’s bread mix, or the Pamela’s bread and flour blend?

    • @michellegf
      @michellegf  6 місяців тому

      It’s the same thing. When I buy it in bulk it’s called bread & flour blend. Smaller packages are called bread mix. They have the same ingredients

    Hi, About how many loaves of bread do you get out of a bottle of dough enhancer?

    • @michellegf
      @michellegf  Рік тому +2

      I get about 12 loaves. Each loaf is 2lbs.
      I also use the dough enhancer for other baking such as pancakes, cupcakes, muffins etc…it really helps the dough rise well.

    Gluten free bread up here is up to $10.99/loaf. Yeah, our bread maker is getting a work out.

      I use Pamela’s gluten free bread flour. I buy it in bulk from the manufacturers website www.pamelasproducts.com/collections/bulk-foodservice
      It does occasionally go on sale on Amazon too

    Why do you mix flour and dough enhancer before adding to machine.
    I use enhancer with every loaf and just dump all ingredients in and start. No problems.

      I have found that my bread machine isn’t the best with mixing and when I combine them beforehand it has yielded better results for me.

    Oh my you sure are making this more involved than necessary. The reason for a machine is to make a loaf of bread easy.
    The instructions tell you how to add the ingredients and what order. Please if you have a machine or are thinking of getting one
    don’t let this influence you because it’s so easy making bread. None of this pre mixing just add ingredients in order and go.

      Quick question, do we not need to add any sugar or salt?

    If you like to fart, get Pamala bread premix. It has inulin in it which the human cannot digest. But, it WILL make you fart.

      Interesting, I’ve found the exact opposite reaction. Most GF flour blends make me really gassy, but Pamela’s bread mix has never caused me any issues.
