As for fireworks, when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's fireworks were great fun. We didn't shoot off fireworks in the normal way. We would split up into teams and make war with them. We'd use electrical conduit pipes as gun barrels and fire rockets through them at the other team and throw M80 firecrackers at each other. Fireworks back then were more potent than the watered-down stuff for sale these days. It's a wonder any of us lived to be adults.
I'm old and retired and not enamored by fireworks at all now.

Great video as always Silver Dave. I remember when you were in the Laconia mint, and you would fascinate me with some of the combat missions that you told me about. The picture of you taken by your group photocopier as you climbed over the hill smiling back at the guy and also the time when you was putting a charge to blow open a door and an RPG hit the wall 10 feet from you and blew you back. I miss our conversations from Laconia and our little shooting classes in Meredith. You're a great guy and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to get to know and spend time with you brother.

I agree 100000000000 percent bro. We fire only our miniature cannon on the forth. And boy is it 100xs louder than any firework. Also those missiles literally rip the air in half. And you can visually see it happening. If you have ever heard a volcano blast that is similar to fix wing missles right next to you

I do feel sorry for you folks living in sparkler and smoke bomb states. Up here in Wyoming the loudest, most powerful most dangerous fireworks are available to anyone who can reach high enough to put their money on the counter

Multiple friends and coworkers of mine lost a total of 2 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats because of the fireworks. I cannot imagine a human being, someone who understands what is happening to be thrown into a terror when selfish people think fireworks are cute to blow up.
