I discovered a few years ago that I have Southern Asian Ancestry 🤷♀️and I appreciate👏 the time and effort you invest in all of your Asian recipes you are helping me to reconnect with my culture🙏 much love Cleveland Ohio 🥰
I made your Singapore noodles tonight. It was unbelievably delicious! I, however, make a mess when I cook. I don't know how your kitchen is so spotless while you're cooking! I'm hooked... Thank you!
I love your straightforward approach to these recipes. It makes it so much easier to follow. Great filming and great music. Your channel is like watching a TV program only better. Thank you for constantly sharing these amazing recipes.
Thank you. Love the slaw one! I've been calling it chopped cabbage salad though. The only difference is I use chopped kale in place of the cilantro and add a little honey to balance the acidity of the rice vinegar. Delicious!
Your video style and the way you narrate the instructions give off a Gordon Ramsay vibe! I love it! Your videos are incredibly professional, clear but succinct, you're a brilliant inspiration keep it up Wil!
Yess! I’ve been looking for simple, fresh ways to incorporate more veggies. Thanks for the straightforwardness of what you present! I tried a different noodle dish of yours (with the black garlic and miso), and it was delicious. I imagine all your recipes will be just as tasty ❤️
I am extremely happy one of your videos popped up in my recommendations! Because, OMG your recipes are amazing. And the video production, that is some serious quality! And you definitely deserve many more subscribers! I’m getting this very sophisticated modern millennial bachelor vibe from this, and i’m here for it! THANK YOU!
I would massage the cabbage with the dressing before assembling with the rest of the ingredients, it makes the cabbage easier to digest and more tender. As usual great recipes, Wil!
Yes .... well done .... absolutely amazing. I will make all of them. Finally I don't have to throw away kombu after I cook. I heard you can fry it also. Perfect for hot summer days. 👍😉👏
Kombu salad, what good timing.I had to order mine from organic supplier(just arrived) online, can't get them from where I am.We live in a boutique community where we only ever shop locally to support local traders so trying out your recipes are a real challenge...so happy that I can reuse the Kombu as they were not cheap..I am making Shio ramen for the family tomorrow.Nori sheets are the same as they one we make sushi with, correct? I hope the family likes seaweed salad.I also ordered macha to make your cheese cake .We don't usually have desserts(except for fruits)in winter.Still ever so cold in Melbourne, winter has been a real drag.It will be a treat...Thank you.
Mmmm! That sounds like an awesome food adventure 🥳 yup nori is the roasted seaweed used for sushi. Hope you’ll love the recipes 🙌🏻 btw the community you describe sounds amazing!

Hiii, new subscriber here. Ran into your page while looking for vegan recipes to cook for my friend. Been following for a week or so, catching up on older posts of yours, and I just wanted to let you know: i love your channel. The food looks amazing, i am blown away by how easy and delicious these dishes are. Keep up the good work🔥❤️🙌🏼
I improvised the first one without even seeing your video last night haha ! Just had some basic rice noodles instead of glass noodles and added some crunchy peanut butter to the dressing, would recommend !
These look delicious. plus glass noodles are some of the most yummy noodles ever. I’ve had japchae, a dish with them, in Seoul but I can’t find them anywhere around me.😭 that salad is kind of like a fresh version of japchae! Yum🥰
These look amazing, thank you 💚 When you say left over kombu, do you mean kombu that has been soaked and boiled to make stock? I'm not really sure how to prepare it for the salad. The one I buy is always dried and salty.
Hi Wil, I am new to your channel and really enjoyed watching and had tried a few recipes. They all turn out great! Thank you! I have 2 questions. What would you suggest to replace Rice wine in making one of the dressing as I am allergic to alcohol. Also, how do you prepare the dry gwanpo. Thanks!

They all look amazing. I’ve been eating take out a lot and I’m just craving salad so bad! Which to try first 🧐
Wow, these salads look amazing! How long can you store the used kombu in the fridge before using in the King seaweed salad?
Before I store the kombu I rinse them really well under cold water, pat dry them, and store for say up to a month?
These look delicious. plus glass noodles are some of the most yummy noodles ever. I’ve had japchae, a dish with them, in Seoul but I can’t find them anywhere around me.😭 that salad is kind of like a fresh version of japchae! Yum🥰
These look fantastic

Hey Wil, can you try vegan Okonomiyaki? I've been trying to find a great vegan recipe for okonomiyaki and haven't come across one till now.
Will keep it in mind ☺️
@@YEUNGMANCOOKING Thanks Wil.
Awesome sir
Now I will start kitchen gardening
Just one question :- can we add Miso paste in 1st recipe
For sure! Make it your own 🥳
@@YEUNGMANCOOKING thank you sir ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you !
These look amazing, thank you 💚
When you say left over kombu, do you mean kombu that has been soaked and boiled to make stock? I'm not really sure how to prepare it for the salad. The one I buy is always dried and salty.
Yup! Normally, most people toss the kombu after using to make dashi. I rinse it really well in cold water and pat dry better storing in the fridge ☺️
Thank you. Not only vegan and delicious but zero waste too 💚💚💚
Was looking for salads to try out, and you uploaded this!
You're a Saviour! :D
Will try these out for sure now :)
Thank you so much ☺️
If only there was a way to eat them from the screen
Haha 👌🏻
Love your cooking shows. On a show, please demonstrate and talk about sharpening knives.
Can you make Burmese fermented tea salad? I haven't found a recipe that shows the tea fermentation from scratch
Hello from Maldives 👋🏼
They all look so good and easy to make. Are these recipes in your cookbook?
There is a picture of the table of contents on the website that shows all of the recipes in the cookbook ☺️
Gorgeous!
Soothing
Thank you for this⭐
Can you make a ramen recipe with easy to find ingredients 🙏
Will keep it in mind ☺️
Hi Wil, I am new to your channel and really enjoyed watching and had tried a few recipes. They all turn out great! Thank you! I have 2 questions. What would you suggest to replace Rice wine in making one of the dressing as I am allergic to alcohol. Also, how do you prepare the dry gwanpo. Thanks!

Chopping skills aw! 😳👍🏻
Hi Will, any apt substitute for the sugar you add in the dressings to maintain the same flavor? Trying not to negate the benefits of the salad by adding sugar in the dressings
I usually use maple syrup ☺️
Hey! How do you store the leftover kombu you use for the ramen? Just put it in a box and then in the fridge ? And how long can I store the cooked kombu?
Love your videos and your channel! Your recipes are amazing 🥰
Great question ☺️ I rinse the kombu with some cold water, wipe it dry, then put in a container in the fridge. Should be good for a few weeks ☺️
@@YEUNGMANCOOKING Thanks for the answer! 😊
Can u plz make a salad or tasty dishes with Zucchini.... thnk u
It’ll be awesome if you covered a knife selection and chopping technique tutorial on your channel.
All these look so yummy!! Wil can you recommend some good knives? What brand?? Thx and 🤗 from California ps: do you eat any fish?
I really like the zwilling pro knives 🔪 I just splurged on a Japanese knife but was a little $ 😅 yeah when I was in japan last year for work I did have some local sushi

Very interesting! I’ll keep it in mind ☺️
For extra nutrition in your house salad, I'd recommend a darker leafy green like romaine lettuce, spinach, rocket, or dandelion greens.
With your first recipe if you dont have glass noodles is there any other noodle i can use in its place?
Mouth watering tfs xx
Wow. You don't mess about. I'm not💥🙌😋
Great video. I would have complete confidence if I had your knife skills. Working on it.
Practice ☺️ I’m def not perfect at it
I doubt I could slice that kombu as thinly as you do!
All good 😅
I am unable to find miso in our local grocery. (Live in a small town) any ideas for a substitute?
May we have non sugar dressing salad?
