Girl, I can tell that you understand salad on a spiritual level. Most people have no idea how delicious they can be but you get it. The homemade dressing is definitely the most important part. I love your ideas!
Hahah I love your comment! I never thought of my relationship with salad as spiritual, but I will take it :) Salads get a bad rep but they can be so satisfying and flavorful - that's why I wanted to make this video!
Yeah salad dressing makes the difference
I completely Agree with Jens comment. Thank you for creating all these wonderful videos! The tips and tricks have helped me so much on my vegan journey.
This is Awesome!! I need a lemon zester and garlic crusher!!
The gods have spoken 🥰That's exactly what it is. spiritual level.
This girl is my salad doppelgänger.
This is the first time I've that I've had all of the ingredients for a recipe before....it's a whole new world
I would have never thought to add dates to a salad dressing. This is why I love your channel! So many fresh and unique ideas!
That's so nice of you to say, Jeanie! So happy you love my recipes and ideas :)
The last great dressing I made has golden raisins in it, so yeah, don't sleep on fruit.
The chickpea toss was the BEST. Had to pause because I was laughing so hard.
Lol I'm glad you enjoyed that segment!
That part was awesome😂😂😂😂😂
Definitely a belly laugh ,at the toss🤣
I love when you release a saturday morning video, it's my favorite ritual to watch your videos while drinking my coffee.
🥰 That’s so sweet to hear Sandy! Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your Saturday morning.
The little dance at 3:52 while shaking the bottle is so cute and relatable 😋
Haha thank you Preya! I felt like one of those bartenders at a fancy bar shaking up cocktails in a cocktail shaker 😆
@@RainbowPlantLife haha I understand 😄. This was a really informative video by the way 😊.
I LOVE that you use actual measuring spoons~! It drives me nuts when the cooks/chefs on cooking shows say 1 teaspoon and proceed to put in what you know is more than 1 Tablespoon~!
I'm not a vegan but I stumbled across your page a couple of months ago and have tried a bunch of your recipes. They're all so good, flavoursome and soulful. You've made me fall in love with lentils! Thank you :)
Just recently subbed to your channel! You truly are a hidden gem within the vegan UA-cam community 😁
aww I appreciate that! That’s so nice of you guys to say 🥰
I feel the same ❤
agreed. this channel deserves more and more subscribers
I absolutely agree!
Agree
Omg why are you not like the most famous vegan cook ever 😍 you need a cooking show! I can’t wait to try all these recipes!
Im a classicly trained chef from Berlin Germany. You did a really good job there :) "vegan thumb up" :) no1! selfmade dressings! acid sweetness crunchy (seeds/nuts) vegies greens sprouts ... if ppl took the time to understand the basic they all would eat those salads daily ...
I like how the mistakes are not edited out. To me, it shows she is a real person. Love that. "Crusp"
This is just what I needed! i always try to make a trip to the grocery store, but end up just standing in front of the vegetables section thinking and thinking of what I can actually make. Then I end up not getting anything cause I feel like it's overwhelming coordinating veggies for meals lol, thanks!
Haha I'm so glad that my video could help you figure out what to buy at the grocery store!
So I made your salad dressing with the OJ (I was making fresh OJ/grapefruit juice anyway that morning) and put it on my salad to which I added blanched asparagus as well as beets with roasted walnuts, and it was SO DELICIOUS! I plan to make all your dressings and salads. Fantastic recipes! I sometimes forget to let you know that I have made your recipes and how much I enjoyed them, so just know that I do make them and am never disappointed!
This video inspired me to buy lots of awesome salad supplies this week! Today I made a variation on the green bean/asparagus one, adding garbanzos, slice radishes, sliced cucumbers and fresh dill on top of it. I made a rice wine vinaigrette with whole grain mustard, and then topped the tossed salad with toasted sesame seeds. Amazing! Thanks for the motivation!
I was attending a cooking class at my local Different Drummer (aka Cook’s Resource). The teacher asked who was willing to try sauerkraut on their salad. I figured, what the heck? Omg! What a delightful surprise!
I would also suggest fresh fruit, like berries, diced peaches, or grapes, which lend a bit of sweetness to a green salad.
Omg the catching of the chickpeas! 😂❤ Love your energy. This video was sooo good!! Thanks
your tempeh tacos are the best I have ever tried and I gave it to my Canadian neighbor and she is a fan of me now. Lolz. I want you to upload more salad recipes like high protein and weightloss friendly salads. Love your recipes so so much.
The idea of an asparagus and green bean salad is life changing for me. Thank you so much! I dislike the leafyness of traditional salads so I'm definitely trying rhis
I've been vegan going on 8 years or so, and I think it was one of the best decisions I've ever made! But when I see some vegan recipe videos they're either very bland, or super junk food. It's nice to see someone making healthy food taste amazing! And I'm actually learning new tips and tricks!
If you want recipe ideas you can look at Blue Ollis (what I eat in a day vids).
we have a basic side salad with our dinner every night and our basic dressing is just olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper! sooo much better and healthier than store bought honestly idk why people buy salad dressings! all the ones u made in this video looked amazing ! my personal fav is a lemony tahini dressing, soooo good
I love my vegan ranch haha
sometimes with 3 kids and a husband throwing a pre-made on is easier 😅
I cannot believe I just discovered you! Just received your book all the way in Taiwan and look forward in trying all your recipes. Love your videos! Thank you for all your hard work.
All these salads look great Nisha! I love the variety! Thank you ♥️🌱♥️
Great inspiration! Thank you for encouraging home made dressing. I needed the reassurance. Love that your flavors are in season and you included textures. Yes girl! Can't wait to make these!!
I rarely leave comments on UA-cam but wow your content is another level
Aww I appreciate that so much. Thank you Maria!
Made all three dressings right now and they are all amazing!! Can't pick a favorite cause they all have a different flavor. Seriously love them all!! Easy to make too.
My favorite company dressing is to sauté onions, red peppers and garlic. Add some olive oil and a squeeze of lemon. Pour it ( hot) over a basic green salad. I lay some avacado slices on top and sprinkle with pomegranate seeds. I get lots of compliments..
Rainbow your recipes are absolutely amazing!!!
This is so well done, thank you! How I wish all instructional videos were so well done, with such excellent information!
Game-changer, Nisha! Thank you so much. I am using your guide to prep meals and in my head it goes "crunchy, creamy, flavour boosters"! So much fun.
OK Ranbow Plant Life, you simply have the best food videos on UA-cam! Funny, informative, easy to follow.
This helps so much. I am growing my own salad variety and I never thought to think to put asparagus and green beans as its not so expensive and doesnt go bad as fast as lettuce. Thank you
After a lifetime of not liking salads. Your video has opened my eyes to the possibilities of salads and now I can’t wait to try a bunch of new combinations. I will forever take with me the importance of texture in food. Thank you.
OMG. I am so impressed. Have subscribed. You bring a breath of fresh air. Please don't change.
Ty so much for these recipes. I am on a healthy journey and love salads and these give me so much inspiration
Great new word... combination of CRISP and CRUNCHY... CRUSPY! Well done to you, the guys from Oxford and Websters will be in touch with you soon for your contribution to their dictionaries. 😁👍🏾💯
These all look fabulous! I just downloaded the PDF and have subscribed to your channel. Thank you!
I've just recently discovered your channel and I ADORE it!! All recipes are SO DELICIOUS. Great job!!
All these fresh greens are making me even more excited to go to the farmer's market to get some! There are so many fresh herbs available now, I never thought to use them as a base for salads. I'm going to have to try all these this week!
Yes! We just got back from the market a few hours ago :) I got that idea many years ago from Ottolenghi - I love using parsley, cilantro, dill and basil as the base for a salad!
Gosh, I was cracking up over the bloopers. I also love how delicious these salads look! Thanks so much for this salad video. I miss salad, but I also don’t like them to be boring. Honestly, I wouldn’t have ever thought to salt & pepper my greens had it not been for cooking school. One of my chefs said it like this: “I don’t know about you, but my salad greens don’t come seasoned.” I never forgot that lesson, and thought I was the only one that did that. Thanks for this video Nisha; I can’t wait to make salad now!
These are great! I tried 2 out of 3 so far and I am excited for the third! So delicious! Never thought I would like fennel (never tasted it before this) but it was tasty. You have even inspired me to come up with some dressings and salad combos of my own and it is so fun. Never knew salads could be so filling without an animal product. Thank you so much for sharing!
Salads have always been, will always be my favorites!! Ty! So Devine!!
I appreciate the thought you put into everything you do.
I've been eating a lot of salads lately but my standards have been getting a little boring and this is exactly the inspiration video I needed. I can hardly wait to experiment with your ideas. Thanks!
Love these ideas. It is ready menu for vegans like me. I made a nice chart for my family and friends so they can pick and choose any dressing from three, choose any fresh veg, crunch and fresh herbs. Brilliant!
I'm glad you enjoy the ideas and so nice to hear you made a chart for your family and friends - such a fun idea!
Just had the green bean, garbanzo salad, it was excellent and very filling, appreciate your creativity and presentation, will make these salads in the next few days, loved it !!
You are the best. Always simple and nice

SO yummy!! Love following all your content and recipes!
Going to try these salad recipes this weekend! Perfect for the spring weather!
Thanks Victoria, glad you enjoyed the recipes!
Great content! Over the last 5 years, I've experimented with many of these principles... and I now look forward to a "salad" 3x/day! Every salad has a different flavor profile and mix of textures and temperatures. Homemade hummus and pesto are two of my favorite "dressings."
Thank you! That sounds like a great wholesome and fun way to eat! I love turning hummus and pestos into salad dressings as well!
I made the first one and LOVED IT!!! Can't wait to try the rest

Salad season!!! (I know, salads year round - but in season makes it better). We have made our own salad dressings for years. Thanks for sharing what many of us already do (and providing a few more tricks) and sharing it with the world. Excellent video to remind, inspire and entertain us. Viewers - if you haven’t already tried any of these ideas or are just getting into salads this is a great time to start. All these tips take a salad from a side to a meal!!!
Yes, you're so right. A salad can be a full meal if you know how to treat it like a meal, and they can be so fun and packed with flavor!
I found your channel today. I binge watched at least 6 videos 😂. Your cooking is too good.
Great! I will try salad no. 2. I tried Tahina in Israel and fell in love with it :-)

The chickpea catching shoot was just the best thing I have seen for the past 2 weeks.
Nisha, you are a legend!
Anyways, sending you all the love!
Stay safe and sound!
As I’m watching this amazing video I have an arugula salad with micro greens (arugula and mustard greens) and roasted asparagus with blueberries and golden raisins, and a tahini lime agave dressing. The fact that you incorporated those elements in your salad bases made me feel great. Thank you
And seaweed!!! Almost forgot.
The citrus date vinaigrette is amazing! 😋
My favorite food channel. You're sooo much fun!
Aww thank you so much! ☺
Watching this made me really hungry. Thanks for the great video!
I love to add bread and butter pickles to my salad with blanched broccoli, bulgur wheat or quinoa, and tomatoes with pumpkin seeds on top.

I love your videos so so much, now I MUST make a salad for tonight! I made the 3 bean and veggie chili from your cookbook last night, and I think a salad along side it for leftovers is perfect!
Aww I appreciate that. So happy you love my videos and yay, glad to hear you made the chili from my cookbook!
Thank you! I’ll take all three!
I LOVE adding fennel to salads! It has such a beautiful crunch and aroma! Surely, not everyone likes it but I definitely do :D
Also, the whole farro salad will be definitely in my menu this week- it seems to be ticking all the boxes and has pretty much only my favourite ingredients :D
The salad dressing bottle is really useful and doesn't leak I use it all the time
Best salad teacher ever 😋
Your outtakes are funny and adorable! The recipes are fabulous too.

Fantastico! Looks delicious, great advice, and your on screen presence is charming. I subscribed. Looking forward to seeing you again. I’m fortunate in that I’m an American who retired to southern Italy. It is an agricultural region, Calabria, and we have a wealth of organic produce. Bon appetito!
As if we couldn't love her anymore, she Rocks the bean catching challenge!!!😄❤
I was looking for this comment xD haahaha
The dressings were my best part❤
