Seeing young people against homosexuality really breaks my heart
LGBT rights do not advance at the same speed everywhere and while the younger generations are among the first to become tolerant, some countries started at the beginning of the second half of the 20th century while others only started '20 years ago and others are just starting or have not yet started.

That's actually not what they said at all. The protesters were clearly not operating from a stance of hatred but standing in moral opposition to the societal normalization of homosexuality. That's a very different thing than being "homophobic" which implies hatred and even violence.

Recently an actress playing a lesbian character on a kdrama openly claimed to be against homosexuality. While I think these people and the actress (+ her Christian supporters) are entitled to their right to freedom of expression, her representing a sexual minority on TV really doesn't seem right at all.

JungKook Suga , I realize your comment is old but you must understand that those people are outliers. The VAST majority of LGBTQ+ people would not have sex on the street in front of children. Those people did not do that BECAUSE they were gay. They were just weird people who just so happened to also be gay. Reversely, if you look for it, I can guarantee you’ll find cases of straight people being that perverted as well. Similarly, these people aren’t being perverted because they’re straight, they are just screwed up who also just happen to be straight. Neither the LGBTQ+ community or straight people as a whole group bring down society, individual people do and we should not project those bad characteristics of a few onto the many.

As a Korean who grew up in Korea this isn't showcasing the day by day homophonic people and actions Korean people do. I remember walking from school one day and seeing a boy bashing his brother and calling him multiple lgbtq slurs and such. So many occasions where koreans bully and bash others because of sexuality its just awful

I hope that guys “friends” arent his friends anymore. In fact, these people with their fairy tales about a man in the clouds are the ones who need fixing. Cause one thing the bible teaches is we are all sinful and flawed. He is showing that with his lack of respect for those around him who are different. If God needed this guy to be his champion, he would be sitting on the clouds with Him! But protesting against a parade doesn´t equals denying their existence..... They know sexual minorities exist but i guess they don´t see a point of why they celebrate that. Or maybe it is bc of the sexualize way that some people celebrate it, which happens in all the pride parades around the world. I personally have a gay friend who doesn´t like pride parades bc of that reason actually. And that doesn´t mean she is hating on the comunity. In the end they are still able to do the pride parade which i think is awsome cause´ they can still celebrate what they want but the other people also have the right to protest bc they are free to do it. So i believe people should just focus on what they´re doing very peacefully and everything will be ok.

Queer people have tried to be normal since too many years ago with rehabilitation programs, and they we're proved ineffective. I noticed something very interesting in the interviews with the opposing groups. Religion was only mentioned in a very vague way. Just based on this video (because I am an American), it seems that people in Korea are concerned about their cultural values and traditions, but I like what one of the guys said towards the end: They are in a transitional period, and they want to talk about it and reach peaceful agreement. As a gay man, I believe they have a long way to go, but I think they have the right attitude in regards to discussion and communication.
Does LGBTQ+ rights lessen heterosexuals in any way? Christianity teaches you to love your neighbors except the GAYS??
