I like Korean's honesty unlike other Asian nations which are pressured by their Ancient Asian culture, government, and the society not to say things they want to say. I don't like hearing just the compliments or positive opinions but the reality.
For Koreans, they sound pretty soft spoken and seem to like US. Koreans are very direct and critical. They even impeached their own president. If they hated US, you would know 100%. These people sound like they like the US except for the two old ladies.
I am glad to hear that.🌝 I am from South Korea. In general, We are too honest and straightforward. So We are often evaluated as arrogant or callous even by Asians in our neighboring countries because of our unrelenting honesty. In this aspect, South Koreans and Japanese are completely opposite.👻
Felix Shàms I'm 100% positive that won't happen to you. There's 7b people on earth and it happens to a few people. I'm sure shitty things happen everywhere bro.
Yep, I was going to say something pretty similar. It sucks that we have a president and celebrities that don't represent what the United States really is. I just hope that the countries of the rest of the world don't have too harsh of an opinion of us based on the things they see from the outside.

@Gotcha Meh in terms of Empire, Britain is going nowhere. But in terms of its own thing I think they have more than enough influence in the world to be a great power.
Please come Korea! I didn't know everyone think that way i'm very sad ㅠㅠ Foreigner not scary, only language and afraid how to help person and not waste time. Koreans too much rush and have noonchi (눈치)
These people seem so genuine and friendly. I love how a majority have a very positive view of our country. They seem very similar in personality and even culture to our own. Would love to go over to South Korea 🇰🇷 and make some new friends someday.
Arviii (: maybe stop watching main stream media and do real research. The impeachment isn’t official (: but them sore loser Dems are still trying so hard again (:
ALicia c mate, you’re being dumb. He got impeached, so all they are saying is that he got impeached, which is true. We know he’s not impeached out of office, but he still was impeached, so.. people are gonna say he’s impeached because that’s a factual statement.
yeah my thoughts. It's can be more concentrated like in the south or boston but occasionally happens in random places all over but definitely more concentrated in those areas.
Agreed. I've been to both sides of the country, north snd south and can say the only time i felt out of place is in Idaho. I was eben in Texas right before one of their shootings
It's always interesting to hear people from other countries talk about the blatant racism I. America they learn from the media. Many of these foreign countries are far more racist than America.
I absolutely LOVE Koreans! I can’t think of anything negitive to say about about them. Their hard working, upfront, honest, super FUNNY, kind, and hospitable. I haven’t had any experience with my Asian friends being discriminated against, actually my Vietnamese, Korean, and Chinese friends were the most popular kids in school growing up and that was like ten years ago so I know it’s probably even better now. There is a lot of good people in America that will have your back if you come to visit or live here. Of course you always got the stupid ignorant people but that’s everywhere. South Korea will always be our friend and ally! 🇰🇷❤️🇺🇸
as a korean who was born and raised in america. racism agains asians are pretty bad but i dont think its worse than racism against blacks. sure they have civil rights movement but thats also because they suffered through WAY more historically and were treated horribly cause of their skin. although people usually focus on fixing racism between black and white i HOPE asian racism can be a topic as well.
i would suggest you open your eyes. Right now we're seeing an uptick in crimes against asian people (read what's happening in seattle) because asians are wrongly viewed as easy targets that don't fight back. There's also anecdotal experiences of those in entertainment, that get targeted and people trying to suppress their business or steal clients primarily because it promotes positive asian image (ever wonder why 5% percent of the population with the most money and education somehow gets barely any positive representation in the western media?)
as an Asian born and raised in American, some of my friends have made some of those asian "racist" jokes like eating dog or something but I don't even mind because it's true and I make jokes out of it myself
@@badboyhalo9745 yeah i think that graphs been set back a couple decades due to covid and the hate crimes💀 white people are nowhere to being oppressed in western society, they have lost absolutely zero power. social standards will continue to change, but the system? not likely.

No way, that's crazy. If anything it is that asians are so thin and healthy. Instead I hear that most think Americans are fat and unhealthy... Which is true.
@@cryptoforthepeople6269 So you're going to believe in stereotypes? Because when I was still living in America I didn't see as much as fat or even obese people.
“asians are more discriminated against than black people” i’ve seen ppl in the comments comparing the oppression of asian americans and black americans which isn’t a fair discussion considering we experience oppression in different ways. asian americans have always faced more subtle oppression, due to racism against us being heavily normalized. we don’t see the same amount of media coverage bc the media only covers what they think will get them the most clout, which is y we see such a large emphasis on black american issues (blm). i’ve also seen ppl in this comment section arguing that asians are the model minority and therefore receive better treatment from white people. actually, this gives white people the impression that they can jokingly be racist towards us and we also get more racism from other people of color bc of this. we cannot compare the black experience to the asian experience bc they happen in two majorly different settings. edit: another thing to consider are the hate crimes. while i feel like we shouldnt compare the experiences of both, we must face the reality that black ppl experience more violent racism. their oppression is much more apparent and from the beginning, have always taken the direct hit.
@@Libturd which is y we as asian americans and asians around the world must stand in solidarity for blm. they take the hardest hits in my opinion throughout the history of this country (america), maybe only rivaled by the suffering of indigenous peoples (not that its a race or anything, those two peoples have just suffered the worst historically). i do think black ppl have it worst than asians in amwrica specifically, but i felt like the comparison of oppression has so many factors to consider and would therefore be inaccurate for me to compare. idk if that makes sense.
Couldn't agree more. This whole discrimination Olympics is exactly what the racist white folk want: minorities tearing each other apart. They already succeeded on some level with curtailing affirmative action, convincing a subset of Asian Americans that they are discriminated in education. And if we are being serious, it's actually cruel to compare Asian Americans to a people whose first footsteps on these shores were in bondage, and whose history was marked by some of the most unimaginable, inhumane practices in human history. Speaking as an Asian American, I would never ever directly compare my struggles with Black Americans.
I don't think we need to even compare because of all the tension between the black and asian community, comparing oppression will just make things worse.. in my opinion though, asians will say they have it worse and black people will say they have it worse and that's because they've never experienced eachothers' issues so you would never know but this is only in the u.s. worldwide, black people would be the most oppressed race because of skin color, facial features and hair are against everyone's standard not to mention the history of slavery for the sole purpose that they are black that existed in many countries (and stereotypes that we all carry guns to shoot people and are super aggressive) edit: nope black people definitely experience more racism in the u.s than any other race, take slavery and the segregation laws for example that used to exist
I’ve only been there once when I went to the mall of America ;; (I live in Minnesota so it’s like 2-3 hours away) but I do bet it’s expensive 😭 It’s like if the food is at least good, they have to charge the bare minimum people would pay for it ;;
all males have a subconscious attraction to a woman with a larger pelvis...its a biological sign they are capable of bearing children with minimal complications
ChapStick well they do say those too but they also say "wow look at her pelvis". I think both white and black people have relatively larger pelvis compared to Asian girls. if you really see a girl with small pelvis you would agree that her body looks like a man's body cause there would't be any curve from their waist to legs.
i had a lot of problems in the US for being asian too. they think of it as a joke but they don't know that it is serious for us. when people make racists actions towards black people they will start a movement about it but when they are racist towards asian people will just think its a joke. i once went to a school counselor and he told me that its all jokes and that i shouldn't be bothered by it. it still happens til this day but im adapting because i cant control what they think about me i just accept everything they say. its sad but racism is a big part of US.
The truth is, Terran Marine Pikachu, is that the racism is very real, heard it from the neighbour next door, she lived in the U.S. for couple of years but she gave up and came back home.
I wouldn't doubt this because America is a really big place, but I highly doubt this would happen randomly where I live. Surely there are stereotypes, and there are reasons stereotypes exist, but in my experience if a minority comes into the neighborhood and is living a respectable life, things will be really good for them. We recently had a Hmong shaman move in near us in Wisconsin, their lifestyle is different but they are respectable people so everyone accepts them. *Keep in mind that many of the Hmong are very new immigrants as well and the old almost never speak English*
I feel like this is pretty interesting as an Asian American to watch. In Korea, they have the perception that racism is pretty bad here, but I can vouch for myself and say if anything, people are more excited about Asian culture! More people are learning Asian languages, meeting more people from that culture, and I think it is definitely heading more on the positive side!
Yes. I can vouch for that too. I find Americans friendly. Especially when they knew that you just moved in their country. They want to learn about your country and culture.
Yep I agree. I'm from the SF bay area in CA and Asians are part of our culture here. I even dated a guy from Korea. I actually felt sad watching this video listening to how they felt we would treat them. I hope they learn the truth.
Taenosaur139 yeah, from what I've seen, people look up to asians because they're stereotyped as really smart and hard working (which seems to be true tbh) but I don't know what it's like in other states (I'm from NY). Also wages are higher, in general, for asians than all other races/ethnicities in the U.S.
The comments about racism have some truth to them. It's true that US systematically discriminates against black people a LOT more, but it's also true that being racist toward Asians is a LOT more socially acceptable than toward black people. So if you're just living in Korea and hearing about all the racist experiences Asians have, you might think the way those people did.
Might I say though that while racism directed at asians may be less taboo, the actual discrimination that each group faces is waay different. For example, many americans have an overall positive view of asian people as hard working, industrious, and well mannered. So while insensitive jokes may be more common towards asian people, they are also far less likely to experience things like financial or legal discrimination because of their race. While you rarely hear people make racial jokes about black americans in public because it’s such a taboo, we have a long and ugly history of prejudice in this country painting black people as violent and uneducated. And thus they are much more likely to be mistreated by police, or denied a loan, for example. This is just my anecdotal experience, but Id say black people have a much harder time with racism and discrimination in America than asian people do (broadly speaking of course, there are always exceptions)
I watch a lot of S Korean dramas and movies (got to love those subtitles), and they use a lot of American phrases and I laugh hearing it in a heavy accent. Ex: Yo Dude, Oh my gosh, sexy, get out of my face. lolol

Wow I'm surprised all the talk about racism in America. I'm American Asian and I was on a cross country trip and people warned me about racism in certain parts of the US but I didn't experience any of it, everyone is so welcoming. America is such a big country and has so many different sub cultures.
I too am also Asian American born and bred and trust me, racism is still out there, its just they dont say it aloud because of what others will think of them.
I'm American Asian also, I have lived here for nearly 16 years and have experienced some racism and prejudice for different reasons, but, most people are nice and think it's cool that I'm bi-lingual.
mia manning haha no I was replying to this thread in general but I realised that my friends, who are Asian and in America ( I only visited I don't live there) often get dismissed for good grades and achievements just because they are "Asian" and seen as naturally smart
i was shocked to hear the one girl that said “i heard that koreans have it far worse than black people” i know she must not know a lot, but as an american that statement is completely false😂 i do respect her, and i was very sad to hear that people make fun of asians badly as well.
One thing that I don't think a lot of the comments reflect is that these are perceptions and they're not exactly based in reality. Clearly Asians in my opinion are treated better than almost any race because as many stated they are considered very smart and well-to-do as well as non-violent so there's very few people that are going to actually have problems with them. I saw some people complaining about how they felt someone looked at them the wrong way or something and I think they're being little snowflakes compared to what African Americans actually go through. But that's not the only example, just the most surprising
Ryan Shaw yeah i definitely agree. literally where i live if your asian your asian. no one talks about you badly because what is there to say? any asian race such as chinese, korean, thai and etc seem to get made fun of the least to me.
Cleveland brown The racism I have seen and experienced have came from white and black people. Mostly black people. I got attacked and black guys called me ugly and threw racial slurs at me. Just because I disagreed with a misogynistic comment that was made. I’m not asian but they did it because i had an asian on my pfp.
She's probably talking about social hierarchy. If you are the only Asians in a southern town, you're going to get more racist comments than a black person. Simply due to numbers and limited exposure to Asians aside from war. I've lived in Atlanta and Charlotte in the past and I can attest to that.
kei-san So one girl said he is bad for putting america first. Is Trump supposed to put america last or something? Then some other woman said about the wall. Why is keeping the illegals out of America bad? After that some other woman said trump should embrace different points of view. Is trump not allowed his own views or something. Oh wait he is only allowed the views people tell him to have. These peoples objections to Trump come from no real concerns. They don't like Trump because the media told them not to. They didn't think for themselves or give any good reasons.

@OORAH! no it's a lie, US is really a racist country and also I guess very much unsafe because getting catcalled on street had been almost normalized in NYC,countries like australia are better and not racist.
@Yeezuz I swear, the irony of it all. They're convinced white people are this and that yet don't think they're racist for it. So everytime something happens between a white and a non white person, the white guy is accused of being racist. They're the real bigots, mate.
@Yeezuz its sad really. When I was younger I grew up with the Hispanics as my friends and places I went. Never thought them different than me,an englishman. I've only recently realized how our society is. Not an American one,but a race focus one. People want to end racism and how do they do it? Going to a business only owned by people of a certain race, hiring someone of a certain race because they're that race, sending aid to families of a certain race and so on. Doesn't seem to be "anti racist" at all yet they are convinced they'll end racism doing it. A sad society.

for me, i think koreans are more open minded. even when they don’t agree with something, they still are respectful. they are more open to the differences of people. they tend to be soft-spoken making other people think that they are dumb but they are actually intellectuals and we need more people like them 🤷♀️
They're pretty racist towards black, brown, and south east Asians. I live in Korea. If you don't fit their standard of beauty then you are seen as a lesser person.

I've had Korean coworkers here that are super nice and then randomly warn me about certain races.
That is because you are white. If you were black or South Asian, you would not be saying this. Koreans have a fascination with white people and the only ones accepted for their kids to date or marry generally.
He was talking more about their body types. He said he likes their thighs and bigger breasts. I know you are talking about the strong and loud American feminists, but most Korean males don't have a clue about that.
They usually would not marry them though, it would be a status thing amongst his friends, Koreans like to keep their race pure, the only problem is they came from upper China, they then got a bit mixed with the Japanese when they took over the country before the cold war, so there is some mixed blood in there, the genes are strong though I have seen mixed marriages with the Koreans they always seem to keep those beautiful almond shaped eyes and black hair, some are born with blue eyes and light coloured hair but very rare, interesting......

I totally understand what they SAID about Asians being discriminated but the try is, A-L-O-T of Americans look up to them, including myself. I mean goodness, they are so calm, sweet and very intelligent. Good people in my eyes and from what I've experienced.
I lived in America before the whole Kpop and Kdrama craze, right before Girl's Generation began getting popular. I remember bursting into tears during first grade because someone made a racist comment about me being Korean, and how a bully in class targeted only the Korean students. There was a lot of times when I hated myself for not being white, for not having perfectly pale white skin with blue eyes but having pale but yellow-ish skin with black hair. My name became something I hated, and my entire family had encountered racist people jeering at them for being Korean. I'm glad that with Asian entertainment and media, came a new appreciation for other countries. My name that used to be the butt of every racist joke slowly became less "Ew that's weird" into "Oh, that's cool, I heard there was this famous actor who has your name too!".

As an American, I'm very saddened by how we're perceived by much of the rest of the world. Most Americans are well aware that our media skews information to change the perception of the masses, but I was not aware that other countries are getting that same misinformation. For the record, to any Koreans or other Asians hesitant about coming to America, I have personally never met anyone who didn't like Asians. I can't speak for everyone of course, but America as a whole seems to love Asian culture. My friends and I just discovered Koreatown, a small town square of Korean culture -and it is our new favorite hangout spot! We love the food and the atmosphere. If I could sum up our overall impression of Koreans in a few words, they would be: adorable, conservative, and fun! (We also love watching Korean reality/game shows. You guys have a great sense of humor!) On the whole, we have a very positive view of you. As far as racism goes in our country, I have 1 friend who has had a bad experience involving drunk men who used racial slurs. This is the only account of racism which has been shared with me firsthand. Racism certainly exists, we live in a broken world; but I think it's far less common than the media has made it out to be. Anyways, just wanted to put this out there! As a country, we're FAR from perfect, but we do love meeting people from around the world. I myself hope to travel and maybe even move to another country one day! :)
As an Asian American I can confirm first hand that their assessment is not that off base. Racial discrimination and bullying is rampant outside of niche communities.
as a german I can say that many many peoole above the age of 30 are have very negative opinions about america same goes for the smart people under 30 however there are some young people who do like USA and please america is not your countries name it's United states of America so fking use it
Gat0 Gat0 Texhnically speaking, you’re correct: North America is the continent, we call ourselves Americans, and our country’s full name is the United States of America; but seeing as it’s a rather long name, we typically shorten it to “America” or “the US”. I think it’s perfectly acceptable to go by a nickname of sorts, as the full name is quite a mouthful. I knew a girl from Germany once, she came here as an au pair. She loved it here but admitted that most Germans don’t like Americans and think that we’re all fat. She was actually very shocked when she realized we weren’t all overweight! I’m curious though, in your opinion why do you think Germans hold a negative view toward Americans?
It's so weird to see how much more different an American South Korean is to a native. For example the interviewer seems so much more confident than his male counterparts. He looks bulkier and even his hairstyle. Tbh, his face doesn't even look that Asian, lol.

Asian boss on the streets. I truly like the way you portray your channel. Very good viewpoints from Asians around the world. I'm a retired US Navy man. I'm always open minded about others comments and how they feel about America. I have to say we don't like war. Americans want to live peacefully. We don't want to be the guardians of any country. Americans love to see other nations resolve their problems. We have our own. But if called I will to this day give my life to ensure any countries people being mistreated or harmed in anyway here in America or abroad you can count on me to step in and help. Americans feel everyone has a right to live their lives as they please.
SOME Americans feel everyone has a right to live their lives as they please. Far more americans are bigoted than people in some european countries, for example. Most of us have problems with racism, but many of us are way ahead when it comes to equality and racism. Like, far ahead. I think it would do many american people good to look further than inside their borders, americans, and people who know almost nothing about america, think that it's the best country in the world. However, the other countries, that aren't poor, who follow everything that happens in america, mostly hate america. Actions speak louder than words, and we see the shit that happens everyday, who your people voted for president, and we wish the people who get affected by all the racism, the inequality, the homophobia, transphobia, all sort of hate crimes and hate speech will be able to endure this episode with Trump as president. That maybe one day when the whole world has gotten rid of these racist forces (becasue they're everywhere, in every european country, because of the syrian refugees), we'll be better than we've ever been before. Maybe we'll live in a world that actually reflects that everyone is of the same worth. For that to happen, we need "the best country in the world" to set an example. Sooner rather than later.
Amanda it won't matter how great of an "example" America can be. There will always be tyrants and dictators and war lords raping and murdering people screaming "death to America" in many places in the world.
@@apollonian802 Lets not compare with N. Korea. I suppose you'll bring up the fact that Chinese gov't censors Facebook, youtube, and other American based social media platforms. @@apollonian802 I've lived and worked in USA for more than 30 years, while I do say the Internet for now is still relatively free, I'd say many aspects of American life is not free. Land rights, mineral rights, oil rights. The Rich get richer, by paying off politicians to give them such rights, so that they can become even richer. I do occasionally get odd glances if I happen to go to some of the more rural areas, but not out of hostility, but mainly out of curiosity and, frankly, shock. But while hostility towards Asians is definitely negligable, the disregard and disrespect couched in humor is still strong. Don't get me wrong, I love living in the US (though perhaps a bit less since Trump took office), I've served in the military, as has my entire family, and I mostly ignore the ignorance, but it does grate on the nerves every now and then.
Pretty much true i recently have lived boston around 3years it is hard to even observe. But still it does exist few homeless guys racist slur but mostly fine. But i have no idea how about the other states. At least, Boston doesn’t have racist against for Asian.
I don't think people in America over all are raceist toward Asians .On the contrary most of the people that I know think Asians are very hard worker's and integrate very well into american culture..BTW I think korean women are some of the prettiest and elegant women in the world..jeff from Oregon.
I'd like to see so too but it's just not true. You can say the funniest stuff against Asians as a joke, rob them, do whatever you want against them. The lady that was being interviewed said that in Europe and elsewhere people are racist against her and made gestures on their face (tightening/squinting eyes) constantly and knew America was like too. Which is also true.
@@DD-nq4re Oh goodness. That is simply not true what you said about America. If you lived in America than you would know much better :-) There are no laws that allow people to rob or do whatever they want to American Asians. Asians are protected under the laws and US Constitution just as much as anyone else. Actually Asians do quite well in the US and they are commonly looked very well upon because many of them seem to have very strong work ethics. Also, I think you would have a very hard time finding American's who would make those faces against Asians. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you would find some racists in the US because, after all, it's a big country with 300,000,000 people. However, most people are not racist and they get along very well with others :-) Most American's love diverse cultures.
I went with a study abroad group to Spain. I am black and had a close Korean American friend in the program. They would openly mock her in the street for being Asian. It was scary and crazy. Stuff you would never do in america. I think Europe has to be far worse for Asians.

paige quiterio but I wonder if it's cause of our diets cause a lot of us kinda snack around and we then the cookies go to our butts lol you better off not knowing that
Man, this is a heartbreaking video, especially the part where the participants believe the US is racist and would be so against them. In my experience, the Americans I've met regard Asian people highly. Americans love Asian products for their quality, they buy them up so much that I'm not aware of an American television manufacturer currently existing. Asian culture produces very intelligent, hard working, respectful people who are not looking to make frivolous trouble. This applies to the individuals, not necessarily current or past governments. The misconception will just take more time to go away I guess.
I am American, and you're full of it, or you live behind a gated community in white suburbia. The more successful an Asian becomes, the more hatred they receive from white Americans because they can't stand it when others outperform them, even if it's in something completely unrelated to their field.
When you are labeled black in America the ball game is totally different. Racism towards black people in America is so bad that I have begun to look for countries in Africa to repatriate and I hope more black people would leave the U.S. Honestly, I wish all black people would leave America because we gave so much to this country and got so little in return.
Well actually Korean people tend to have better manners as they are taught to be so since they were children. I agree that many can be rude but it's the same in every country. I think that because many grow up very strictly that older people tend to have more close minded thoughts on racism. That may be why you think that way. This is just my opinion though, I don't mean to cause any offense or anything.
Adam o that isn’t true, i’m korean, i’ve been to korea, and the ladies are very nice. they are always complimenting their customers and treat them like family. even if they don’t know you, they greet you as if you were their mom.
Maybe Korean women are nice, but Korean men definitely are not the nicest people out there. A lot of Korean men are extremely rude, aggressive and have bad tempers. Plus, a lot of Korean men don't know how to respect other Asian people(especially Southeast Asians, Chinese)and love insulting them.
I also want to point out that a lot of Korean men tend to act very violent and get into fist fights even over small matters. They really seem to have anger problems.

“asians are more discriminated against than black people”
i’ve seen ppl in the comments comparing the oppression of asian americans and black americans which isn’t a fair discussion considering we experience oppression in different ways. asian americans have always faced more subtle oppression, due to racism against us being heavily normalized. we don’t see the same amount of media coverage bc the media only covers what they think will get them the most clout, which is y we see such a large emphasis on black american issues (blm). i’ve also seen ppl in this comment section arguing that asians are the model minority and therefore receive better treatment from white people. actually, this gives white people the impression that they can jokingly be racist towards us and we also get more racism from other people of color bc of this. we cannot compare the black experience to the asian experience bc they happen in two majorly different settings.
edit: another thing to consider are the hate crimes. while i feel like we shouldnt compare the experiences of both, we must face the reality that black ppl experience more violent racism. their oppression is much more apparent and from the beginning, have always taken the direct hit.
As an Asian, I'd rather face the racism I do today than get shot by the police for being black. We can compare. One has to do with lives.
Yeah, us Asians nd blacks need to stand together against racism, every race needs to start together
I don't think we need to even compare because of all the tension between the black and asian community, comparing oppression will just make things worse.. in my opinion though, asians will say they have it worse and black people will say they have it worse and that's because they've never experienced eachothers' issues so you would never know but this is only in the u.s. worldwide, black people would be the most oppressed race because of skin color, facial features and hair are against everyone's standard not to mention the history of slavery for the sole purpose that they are black that existed in many countries (and stereotypes that we all carry guns to shoot people and are super aggressive)
edit: nope black people definitely experience more racism in the u.s than any other race, take slavery and the segregation laws for example that used to exist

ChapStick well they do say those too but they also say "wow look at her pelvis". i had a lot of problems in the US for being asian too. they think of it as a joke but they don't know that it is serious for us. when people make racists actions towards black people they will start a movement about it but when they are racist towards asian people will just think its a joke. i once went to a school counselor and he told me that its all jokes and that i shouldn't be bothered by it. it still happens til this day but im adapting because i cant control what they think about me i just accept everything they say. its sad but racism is a big part of US.

Kilam HD oh yea
Coroi Radu-Adrian so you've never actually been but you know it's hard because your neighbor told you ??
I feel like this is pretty interesting as an Asian American to watch. In Korea, they have the perception that racism is pretty bad here, but I can vouch for myself and say if anything, people are more excited about Asian culture! More people are learning Asian languages, meeting more people from that culture, and I think it is definitely heading more on the positive side!
Yes. I can vouch for that too. I find Americans friendly. Especially when they knew that you just moved in their country. They want to learn about your country and culture.
남들다하는흔한사랑한번못해본최강의전사 So what is your argument here? That we can’t like and appreciate other people’s culture?
Yep I agree. I'm from the SF bay area in CA and Asians are part of our culture here. I even dated a guy from Korea. I actually felt sad watching this video listening to how they felt we would treat them. I hope they learn the truth.
Taenosaur139 yeah, from what I've seen, people look up to asians because they're stereotyped as really smart and hard working (which seems to be true tbh) but I don't know what it's like in other states (I'm from NY). Also wages are higher, in general, for asians than all other races/ethnicities in the U.S.
I mean they are the top earners in this country. They do better here then at home.
Dont show them family guy!
There is no systematic racism in the US anymore. Asians do better here than any other race, so I don't know how you can call America a racist country.

Quite lucky then ...
Nami Lim idk if you were replying to me but i meant the stereotypes like being smart is all i meant
Ken Lompart haha right
One thing that I don't think a lot of the comments reflect is that these are perceptions and they're not exactly based in reality.
Reporter: What's your take on Donald Trump?
South Korean: *laughs*
Me: same
people are not sure why they don't like Trump but they think they better dislike him for some reason.
DrJams but most of them did provide clear points as to why trump doesnt seem to fit the position thoo
kei-san So one girl said he is bad for putting america first.
They didn't think for themselves or give any good reasons.
yet America will heal better and they get lied to a lot there in korea they thought the black population was at highest 40% and it probably would be but the democratic party the party of the kkk convinced them to kill themselves. you need to read more . margaret singer was a nazi goddess. so grow up we need you in the future

@OORAH! no it's a lie, US is really a racist country and also I guess very much unsafe because getting catcalled on street had been almost normalized in NYC,countries like australia are better and not racist.
@Yeezuz I swear, the irony of it all. They're convinced white people are this and that yet don't think they're racist for it. So everytime something happens between a white and a non white person, the white guy is accused of being racist. They're the real bigots, mate.
@@rupalirajput9757 bet if a black guy committed a hate crime, you wouldn't say a thing
What racism? The racism you care about? Or all racism against all races?
@Yeezuz its sad really. When I was younger I grew up with the Hispanics as my friends and places I went. Never thought them different than me,an englishman. I've only recently realized how our society is. Not an American one,but a race focus one. People want to end racism and how do they do it? Going to a business only owned by people of a certain race, hiring someone of a certain race because they're that race, sending aid to families of a certain race and so on. Doesn't seem to be "anti racist" at all yet they are convinced they'll end racism doing it. A sad society.

you are so nice! thank you from s.korea
As an Asian American I can confirm first hand that their assessment is not that off base. Racial discrimination and bullying is rampant outside of niche communities.

however there are some young people who do like USA
and please america is not your countries name it's United states of America so fking use it
Gat0 Gat0 Texhnically speaking, you’re correct: North America is the continent, we call ourselves Americans, and our country’s full name is the United States of America; but seeing as it’s a rather long name, we typically shorten it to “America” or “the US”.

You're awesome. Thank you Johnson.
Amanda it won't matter how great of an "example" America can be. There will always be tyrants and dictators and war lords raping and murdering people screaming "death to America" in many places in the world.

Edward snowden's revelations already confirms that US gov't uses the internet not only to spy on China , Russia and on American allies, and even on American citizens living inside the borders. You think the Troll farms from Russia causing havok in American discourse is just a conspiracy theory?
@@apollonian802 I've lived and worked in USA for more than 30 years, while I do say the Internet for now is still relatively free, I'd say many aspects of American life is not free. For instance, all usable land within the US border is actually property of the US gov't. Even if you "Buy" a property, the gov't can take it away for tax reasons, for development etc... Land rights, mineral rights, oil rights. The Rich get richer, by paying off politicians to give them such rights, so that they can become even richer. With American elections dominated by Big Money interest groups; with the way the Electoral College is set up, the so called American Democracy is not really democratic at all. Special interest groups, big money is how you get elected and re-elected in the USA. I'm Korean, been living in the US for 30 years (all along the south, and parts of the north, east, and west). There is SOME racism, though with the trendiness of Asian culture, it has gotten a LOT less in the past couple of decades.
I don’t know if you’ve ever been on youtube but I think racism is alive and well behind closed doors

Actually Asians do quite well in the US and they are commonly looked very well upon because many of them seem to have very strong work ethics. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you would find some racists in the US because, after all, it's a big country with 300,000,000 people.
They’d be shocked at how many Americans love Asian dramas! 😹
Go to a black area and say that
America is only racist to black
I am American, and you're full of it, or you live behind a gated community in white suburbia. The more successful an Asian becomes, the more hatred they receive from white Americans because they can't stand it when others outperform them, even if it's in something completely unrelated to their field.
When you are labeled black in America the ball game is totally different. Racism towards black people in America is so bad that I have begun to look for countries in Africa to repatriate and I hope more black people would leave the U.S. Honestly, I wish all black people would leave America because we gave so much to this country and got so little in return.
east asian people are very friendly. they didn't respond in such stupid way like fat, moron, bigot etc
Jodie Holmes you AGAIN!
Jodie Holmes im.sorry your not asians you should sue your parents for not being asian also japanese people.dont talk like.thier in a anime
Jodie Holmes friendly? Are you stupid? They hate immigrants lmao.
It's another "homogeneous East Asian country calls white countries racist" episode
Lol, just because they don't have many immigrants doesn't mean they hate them.
South Korean people are so nice 😆😆😆
THAT'S WHY IM GOING TO KOREA🎈
Not true. Korean people are actually extremely rude. especially the older people. But could be that u.s soldiers already have a bad stigma
"Hamburger... Trump...Ariana Grande"
Goddamit...
I love the honesty in this video. Very soulful and honest answers. Sorry to hear anyone is made fun of for facial gestures.
I hope some Koreans know that we don't all like Trump
Carat II Hansol Vernon Chwe: Yeah, even the Republicans hate him; they just hated Hillary much, much more.
Carat II Hansol Vernon Chwe truee
Only the smart ones like Trump
Trump is doing a pretty good job. No real complaints here. I don't care for the constant drama, but I guess it's a sound political strategy.
Carat II Hansol Vernon Chwe im korean and i like trump lmao its just what your beliefs are
