Only thing I would do extra is rub the birds Cavity with the spices,,it flavors the meat from the inside too. But that sure is an easy way to do a rotisserie chicken without the rotisserie,, thank you for sharing, yummy
First time watching your videos ❤ you remind me of my mother who passed away last year. I am forever grateful that people like you and my mom exist/ed in this world. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for the rotisserie chicken recipe Ms Lori! It looks like another winner that I'll have to add to my menu rotation list. I really enjoyed the other videos you shared of your visit with Ms Vicky and her sister. Looks like you guys had a blast!😊❤
I made this for dinner tonight. My husband said It's definitely a keeper!!!. It took me just a few minutes to get it ready. Looked like I spent all day fixing it. Very good recipe. I love these types of recipes, a few normal ingredients and a delicious meal!!!
I watched this video last night, and made the same thing today. There’s nothing that’s as comforting as a delicious roast chicken. It’s in the oven now, and it smells heavenly. Thanks for another wonderful recipe.
Oh Miss Lori that looks soo good . I Love, Love, Love chicken any way you can make it. Thank you for sharing this with us. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed day and Stay Safe my dear Friend. 🍁👭🍁
It looks so delicious. I love baked chicken. I think I will try making this but with rosemary and lemon pepper to see how it will taste. God bless you and Mr. Brown.
Oh yes!! I just took one out of the freezer for tomorrow. I was planning on accompanying it with mashed potatoes but instead will throw in some small golden potatoes and roast with the chicken. Update: I did go ahead and made this last night. The potatoes were wonderful browned in with the chicken. They picked up all of the delicious seasoning. So easy to make. Hit the spot on a autumn Friday night 😋
This looks amazing, love whole baked chicken I always look forward watching your videos to see what you're cooking, I love the simple life y'all live, may God bless you and your family
After shopping at groceries that sell rotisserie chickens, I was amazed to learn you don't need a rotisserie to cook the birds on to have rotisserie chicken! That obviously opens the door for many of us to cook our own rotisserie chicken! On top of that I like all the ingredients you rubbed the bird with. I tbink ours at the grocery are probably limited to salt and pepper. Thanks for the lesson!
I thought you had to have a rotisserie too. I am trying it for tonight. I hope it turns out as good as Miss Lori makes it look. Iam sure it will though, I have tried a few of Miss Lori"s recipes and they are always great
I’m making this chicken for today New Years. I have no doubt it will be delicious. I’ll post once I have eat. Your the best on UA-cam far as I’m concern.
I roasted a whole chicken using this recipe today. I added a teaspoon maple syrup to the rub. It was absolutely delicious and just so easy. Thank you Miss Lori!
I made the rotisserie chicken for supper tonight, it turned out perfect, I added some potatoes and carrots to the pan to roast, everything was. Wonderful...thanks Miss Lori for another great recipe ....
Ms. Lori you always make me hungry when I watch your videos, they always look so good. This one looks amazing. You and Mr. Brown have a very blessed week. Stay safe and stay well. Love ya.
Oh, my gosh! That's making my mouth water! I need to go buy a whole chicken. And I'm with you, I don't use gloves. I'm 66 years old, and have been cooking for many many years. About the only time I wear gloves, is when I'm cutting hot peppers. I learned that the hard way. Ouch! lol Thanks for sharing!
Hello Miss Lori- Beautiful Autumn day here in New Hampshire! I have organic chicken pre-ordered from a neighboring farm family. Their birds are so plump, I have them cut in half! Can't wait to try your recipe! ~ Diane
Kay in NH- Hello from our farm! I have emailed my neighbor with your request. Waiting for a reply. She may wish to correspond with you through email if you have one you can share. We are a 350 acre working farm that raises grass-fed beef. We are mostly wholesale and prefer to stay in the background. Rarely advertise. We value our privacy and our farm is currently shut down to the public because of Covid numbers rising once again. Have you tried putting an ad in the local papers closer to home or contacting the Farm Bureau?
Ms. Lori that’s the best looking rotisserie chicken I’ve ever seen. I’m definitely cooking this one for my husband. I love y’all videos and especially when I get to sit down and have a cup of coffee with y’all.
Miss Lori this was about the best chicken I have ever made and I've been cooking for over 40 yrs. I roasted mine in my cast iron skillet too and it was awesome! I was beginning to avoid chicken because it was just so boring, but this recipe was delicious! Thank you so much.
Oh Ms Lori that looks so good! I've never thought about trying it like this. I've always thought you have to have a special rotisserie thing for this. I'm definitely going to try it this way. Oh man you can hear the sizzling and I can almost smell that goodness lol 😂. Thank you for sharing your recipes and your life with you and Mr Brown 🤎
Ooooooo, Miss Lori, that looks scrumptious! I'm making it tonight. Already have all the ingredients. I think I will use tin foil on the bottom. I wrote down this rub recipe, too! 👍❤
I received your cookbook yesterday. It just made my day! This weekend if all goes as planned it will be the butterscotch pie and this chicken recipe. Loved the story about an apron in your book. It was so true.
Miss Lori that chicken looks scrumptious 😋 thx for ur tips on how u make yours.. I never cooked on 425 on lower rack.. im gonna start doin that 😊 now I'm hungry for that chicken.. hope u have a good night.. God Bless and luv sent..🙏❤
Fantastic! Another low carb entree to add to the rotation! Thanks for this recipe. Looks better than rotisserie. Good, clear instructions. Thanks for the list of ingredients, too.
Thank you for sharing this recipe! I love your recipes and also your seasonings. I'm going to start making some of my own seasonings, thanks to Miss Lori .❤
I'm an 18yo who has never made a whole chicken before, but this video was very helpful and easy to understand! It came out great and I will be using the chicken for my dinner tomorrow😋
When Mr. Brown talks about Justin Wilson- he reminds me how Justin would put garlic in the cavity of the chicken & I’m not sure but I think we used a plastic bag to cover our chicken. Ooo! It was good! It was the first time I used garlic in my chicken- he had rice. He would sit down and have big glass of wine and say his yum sounding noise! I can’t remember what it was. I now always make my chicken w/ garlic- Soo! good. Thanks for helping remember Justin!
I made this before and it was delicious thanks Miss Lori! I just made it again and used cayenne instead of paprika by mistake. And I can't rinse it off because it's already in the oven!! Wah! I can't waste the chicken of course, so we'll see :)
Double yum, I cook one but you actually salt it for 2 days and leave in fridge, you then heat the fry pan, put the chicken in and put in hot oven, keeps the bottom crisp, and does not stick, best chicken I ever ate. The rub looks delicious, now I want chicken.
Goodness me Miss Lori! That bird looks fabulous! Thank you for sharing that rub. Hope I can find some Spanish paprika in the grocery store. 😊 Sending you prayers and hugs from NJ
Thanks for the paste recipe Lori. I do my chickens this way as well but I generally sprinkle the spices. The paste is a much better idea. I may try it with butter instead of oil. I stuff the body with halved citrus (lemons, limes, oranges). What also makes it difficult for me to get the gumption up is our Walmart Neighborhood Market sells the rotisserie birds for $4.95 already done and hot. ;)
Hello Lori. Your chicken, by far, looks better than any store bought rotisserie chicken. What a great rub for the chicken. Chicken is one of our favorite meats so I'll be making this soon. I know, like Mr. Brown, my husband will be grateful for some fine home cooking!! Be well.
Ms Lori. The chicken looks delicious! I’m going to try your rub next time I make it. Just love watching your videos.. so comforting…bless your heart ❤️
Well, my husband stuffed his face with the rotisserie chicken I cooked this morning. He said it was the best ever. Thank you for helping to make my husband feel better today. His is confined to a wheelchair for the next month, but he is a happy camper after this wonderful meal.
I use the same rub ingreds except, I use a half a teaspoon each, of basil, thyme and oregano. I love this rub! It makes the chicken so favorable! Yummy, yummy!😊 PS I put this rub on two Cornish game hens last night for dinner!
I’ve been looking for a rub for some spare ribs. I think this will work perfectly. I was worried my other one would have too much salt. Thank you so much and God bless you and Mr. Brown.
I've got a chicken waiting to be cooked and shared. That smoked paprika is something else; it really does something for the chicken. I've used it on bone-in skin-on thighs and there were just no words. I can't wait to use it on a whole chicken finished off with ACV honey glaze. Used both sweet and smoked paprika plus chili powder, cumin, and cayenne as well as the normal gar.pow and salt.
My favorite winter dish to make. I use herbs de Provence which has the savory in it, plus thyme, marjoram, oregano, and rosemary. I am definitely going to try your recipe, though I will have to substitute the Spanish paprika with Hungarian paprika. The chicken looks so juicy and delicious. noms. :)
Ms. Lori that looks delicious as always. My hubby loves his chicken. With the colder weather here this will be wonderful. I have a set it and forget it counter oven I can put this in.
I have this in my oven now, and it smells so good! I can hardly wait to try it. We’re having roasted potatoes and spaghetti squash and a wheat roll with it. I love your videos, by the way!!!!
I love making a whole baked chicken. Your rub will make it even better. I had to laugh at you saying her. I was waiting for you to give her a name! Thanks Ms. Lori
I think I got a red pan like I see hanging behind you....I love it,,and I thought about red your fav color,,when I got it few months back...your love for red inspired me,,I'm loving touches of red too....I'm gonna have to get some of that spicey peperica....my little oven has a rotisserie...I'm insired by your recipie,,mrs Lori...actually,,I think the cast iron will cook chicken crispy... Mr B gonna be a happy camper when he gets home🍞🍗🍗🍗 ..
My mouth is watering!!! I need to go to the store and get the ingredients. I sure hope they have Sweet Paprika. Our stores don't have a lot of the spices and herbs for recipes. Fingers crossed!!!
I like thyme, sage and marjoram. Which is basically poultry seasoning. Plus salt, pepper and garlic powder. The longer you leave it sit with the seasoning on the better. Like a dry brine.
Only thing I would do extra is rub the birds Cavity with the spices,,it flavors the meat from the inside too. But that sure is an easy way to do a rotisserie chicken without the rotisserie,, thank you for sharing, yummy
Oh Lori. There’s nothing like a baked whole chicken. This looks great. Like everything you make. Lord bless, Darlene

Mrs Lori I agree on the tomatoes I made tomato juice out of the rest of my tomatoes too . I use them mainly for soups.
Loved the ending...God Bless y’all.
Yum!! Thank you for deliciousness!!
