Yeah, It's truly a banger. It's a great example of the classic Mello song, including the "compulsory schlager key rise" at the finale of the song.
Orup and Lena had a very successful period of collabs btw, her best period artistically, imho...

@@JonathanRollinssthlm305 Melodifestivalen är inte en renodlad musiktävling. Framförandet, koreografin mm är en lika stor del. Att bara LYSSNA på en låt från Melodifestivalen ger inte en rättvis bild av akten som helhet.

This was such an epic flipping moment when she won. She tried so hard to win Melodifestivalen in the 80's and was close but never succeded. Then she came back 20 years later as a favour to her ol' pal Orup and this performance is what happened. I'm getting both goose bumps and teary eyed...
Talent show performance for sure. Her live performance of this is iconic.

You really need to watch the live performance. Just do it. Take the Eurovision version, so you can hear the English version. But yeah, her stage performance is... Unique. 🙈🙈🙈

One of the greatest swedish artists. Lots of hits! Unfortunetely she never got a break outside of Sweden, after doing some atempts in the late 80's/early 90's.

2004 was the first time my parents deemed me old enough to stay up and watch all of Eurovision (it goes on until 12 so it’s pretty late if you’re a child) so this song will always have a special place in my heart. I know all the lyrics by heart (though that can be said for many melodifestivalen songs from 2004-2010) and would instantly recognise it from the first second.
I think this song is doubly catchy just because the chorus is relatable on both a physical and emotional level :p

That’s a good one. To me ”sommaren är kort” is really his true classic. Every kid must have sang it on every skolavslutning in the 90’s😂 But he also have done a lot of other great classics.

They did everything, like keeping charts of old Mellos, playing old winners, keeping a bet going for that years winner, and had serious talks about the best ones (like ever).
