I think what caused david to go cyberphyscho is the fact he couldnt really control his sandy. The thing would activate on its own like when he watches maine and rebecca's brother die in slow mo. Not to mention david is addicted to using it. It was less david controlling it and it controlling david
When I first watched edgerunners I had zero experience with 2077 so I thought David's sandevistan was entirely unique and was the only one of it's kind and then lost it when I found out it wasn't
While these are really stylish action scenes, what really disturbs me is that Sandevistan acceleration seems to not just speed up the user's movement but also their float time in air. Seems more like a fast forward, reality altering item than a simple neuro-booster.
Sandevistan: Attunement The item meshes with your own physical stats due to the surgical implementation. Due to that, it has a number of charges equal to your proficiency bonus. The charges are refilled every day at dawn. As an action, you can expend one charge to cast the spell Time Stop. Doing so this way forces you to make a constitution save against Cyber Psychosis. Cyber Psychosis: The DC for cyber psychosis starts at 1. For every success, the DC permanently increases by 1. For every failure, your charisma score is permanently reduced by 1. Charisma determines how well you can establish your identity, and thus will be used to determine the effects of Cyber Psychosis. When your charisma score drops to 5 or less, your grip on reality begins to slip, you suffer no statistical downsides, but you do notice your mind beginning to break down. When your charisma score drops to 3 or less, you begin to experience vivid hallucinations, and you are no longer able to tell which experiences are and aren't real. This manifests as a permanent version of the concussion lingering injury, or another similar effect (such as an option from any of the madness tables) at your DM's discretion. At 0 charisma, you become catatonic, effectively brain dead if you don't have access to life-saving aristocratic corpo level medical technology. If the effects of Cyber Psychosis are somehow triggered after you've hit 0 Charisma, the next level is at -3 charisma, at which point the character is permanently dead. Any spells that can resuscitate dead creatures do not work, as the person has to be willing, and their mind is simply so fried that they can't comprehend what that means. Meds give you a pool of points each day that you take a dose. You can freely spend these points to increase your saves against Cyber Psychosis, +1 per point expended. Standard issue meds give you a pool of 6 points. Military grade meds give you a pool of 20 points. Experimental meds give you a pool of 50 points, but every succeeded check increases the DC by 3 instead of 1. If you attempt to take more than one dose of meds in a day, the value of the pool that's added is halved for each dose past the first, in addition, you take 2d10 necrotic damage as your body fights the chemicals and implants.

Bro, this effect looks so fucking cool.
YOUR MEAT IS FAILING YOU
- Adam Smasher
How i imagine myself in gorebox when i set time shift to 1%:
Imagine if Adam Smasher actually used his Sandevistan against V would’ve been a tougher fight but I assume they didn’t write him with one back then
Modders need to give smasher a sandy
Tbh, it should be possible for a video game that actually exist where ai computer can also use the same ability as the player. I think there is actually a game where ai computer can also use bullet time but can't remember.
but yeah, AS in game should have the same ability but CDPR should make it look like it's possible to counter it. Easy example like Malenia from Elden Ring using waterfowl dance on player, which is actually hard enough to dodge if you don't focus on the fight itself but still manageable.
@@White_Tiger93 Devil May Cry kinda does this tho you need to play with the opposite character to actually taste your own medicine lol. there is also Mass Effect 3, the quest where you fight your own clone, it's easy for non biotic builds, but if you're running biotic builds prepare to be obliterated bcs how OP these things are in general compared to tech / guns.
China already did that with PGR. There is no longer a need for a human controlled enemy to make the game any more challenging and fun than not. Western games still have much to learn.
i think the way speedware is for enemies in the game is that weird instant-dodge/dash you sometimes see melee enemies doing to get close to you or dodge shots
fun fact the sendavistan is just as op on the game i can say that by experience
David:uses Sandevistan

KORE GA REQUIEM DA
GOLD EXPERIENCE REQUIEM
I like the part when techy mitts died, as david was kicked by Maine his eyes had the effect of the Sandevistan. This may just be due to it being a cool effect but i like to think that it's related to the eye twitching In cyberpsychosis. And, that he started going psycho watching his friend die
David: Sandevastan (dies)
V: Sandevastan: (dies)
Gino: Sandevastan (lives)
Coolest speed visual I’ve ever seen so far.
dude you've been on yt for so long holy lol
Cyberpunk edgerunners forever ❤️
David said " za warudo !"
secretly diavolo
All those Ctrl-C Ctrl-V man
I like the driving part, like, it’s the most funny part of this sad story😢
Sandy with blade build is just a freaking saka ninja on steroids, also what is david's Sandy? people say its a qiant mk 4 but the mk 5 warp dancer slows time down even more
we never know aside it being a military grade cyberware, but someone in nexusmods turned his sandy into a actual item in-game, the author says it's a mark 6 arasaka sandevistan and it's just as powerful as the anime.
maines death hit me the hardest
and rebeccas
The fact thats his moms coat
I think what caused david to go cyberphyscho is the fact he couldnt really control his sandy. The thing would activate on its own like when he watches maine and rebecca's brother die in slow mo. Not to mention david is addicted to using it. It was less david controlling it and it controlling david
When I first watched edgerunners I had zero experience with 2077 so I thought David's sandevistan was entirely unique and was the only one of it's kind and then lost it when I found out it wasn't
James Norris looks so cool
"King Crimison"
crazy part about sandevistan is it makes your weapons faster too apparently.
While these are really stylish action scenes, what really disturbs me is that Sandevistan acceleration seems to not just speed up the user's movement but also their float time in air. Seems more like a fast forward, reality altering item than a simple neuro-booster.
Yeah there is some inconsistencies with the way gravity works with the Sandevistan but it's the same in the game, so eh.
Sandevistan: Attunement
The item meshes with your own physical stats due to the surgical implementation.
If you attempt to take more than one dose of meds in a day, the value of the pool that's added is halved for each dose past the first, in addition, you take 2d10 necrotic damage as your body fights the chemicals and implants.
what game are you talking about here
