I was part of the tenor 2 section during this performance. It's been 4 years already and this piece still resonates in me 🔥✨ Beautiful composition Sydney Guillaume! 🤘
Although I didn’t get to perform it since I wasn’t in the men’s choir, this is by far the coolest all-state piece I’ve ever learned. It was definitely a highlight of my school year, it was challenging to learn, but once I learned it it was my favorite choir piece of all time. Thank you Sydney Guillaume for such an outstanding piece! I hope next years men pieces can live up to this one
It really was such an honor to be able to be a part of this choir and the presentation of this outstanding piece. Thank you so much for this amazing piece of art, Mr. Guillaume.
I was sooo close to making Tenor Bass... Only falling short by a couple chairs as a Bass 2 (14th). Very vibrant and rhythmic piece, I truly enjoyed working and auditioning this piece. Mr. Guillaume is a composing master!
This was by far my favorite All State piece my senior year. I didn't get to sing it in concert, I only made it to region, but my fellow Bass 2, Jamison Deffner, did make it. It was nice to sing along to this piece and sing with my friend again after 3 years.
@@adriangonzaloz2424 I’m performing it for the first time as a singer tomorrow… I’m singing the baritone line in a TTBB sextet. It’s been an incredible experience being on that side of this piece. I’m still learning from it after all these years.
Still my favorite All state piece ever

Thank you, Aldo! I love that you still have a strong connection with the piece years later.
I like how this piece has stuck with me so much, even after 3 years I can remember every word and musical harmony. Truly a masterpiece!
That’s amazing! I’m glad to hear it stuck with your after all these years. Thank you! 🙏🏾
For real
