honestly - seeing the takebacks is soooooo enlightening and really cool to see. that last game with the harpie's and then trying to find game just goes to show how easy it is to make mistakes and how to correct them and learn

In the last game, Lucas couldn't activate Big welcome, because it was set by Lovely. Lovely's effect doesn't let you activate set traps from grave unless you control a fiend monster. Its a restriction that gets looked over a lot. Other than great game.

22:30 if ns ash gets imperm'd then playing SE field spell is the sauce in fire king, he coulda ended on amblo + flamb, i:p in s/t, princess in GY. Then again that doesn't really out the board all that much, which he did on the FK variant
like I get going back to have better testing but going back taking back an Ash on Big Welcome just because they also activated regular welcome is a bit annoying tbh.

Very last game labry th player didnt use big for some reason to summon. In they have ash but u chain arias and prevent otk. She summons arianna and arianna gets lady. He survives

3:20 this is the #1 reason lab loses matchups. Without furniture or hand traps the deck just has to play so much catch up to do anything going second… we’re also going to see that in master duel with the newest banlist that came out and the hit to the furniture again.

Weird cuz I remember when trap lab was far more popular than regular lab; it didn't even get that much support, the format just developed to the point where the furniture stuff was simply a better option than playing all of the traps.
@@yaredkokeb5362that’s 100% because of stun and floodgates. Lab is way less consistent without furniture and relies on even more lucky hand then.

@@georgebooth25 So missed Match 1 (g1, g3) were it won and Match 2 (g1).
Also in Match 2 G3 instead of going for the Unchained combo that not only seems winmore most of the time while also isn't that good against Fire King variant, they could wait for the opponent's Draw Phase (for a Wanted), then on Standby attempt Lady for DDG + handrip OR instead of going to Lovely they could also Dweller + Draw + Arias (returned to hand) + Welcome (field) + Big-W (in gy) + Chandle (hand) so if the draw wasn't a trap they could just SS Arianna on the opponent's turn and search Lady to make Big-W live (Blossom would trade either with Arianna or Welcome) OR Clock/Big-W if the opponent didn't immediately HFD to get Lovely pop play (hindsight this would go really bad against Blossom)
@@babradthe unchained stuff is necessary because lab sucks and 1 bounce and 1 pop doesn’t make you not die. I missplayed, I should have used sharvara to pop the big welcome instead of the welcome, it gives me 2 more disruptions that way through nib.
@@LucSacco i am so mixed about the unchained package because i tried it since november and when i revisit gamestates going for a trap with Lady or a rank 4 would have given me the win.
For example i really underestimated how powerful Bagooska is due to SP but if you open Imperm and you still have the Rank4 play you can go for Lovely on their turn then SP wont be able to tag out and also banish Bagooska due to not having a response thanks to Lovely
I still have the package game 1 and it's really valuable with the field spell live, but most of the time i side it out both games 2/3 so i wonder if it's even viable.

They fixed that if you saw the end of that game, when Knightmare Phoenix popped Big-W and it wasn't activated.
