OOF, now that was a lot of mud!! Absolutely loving how good the truck turned out! 😍 The garage clean up video is coming soon over on The Detail Geek 2, as is Episode 1 of the Studio Build series so stay tuned!!
Ok, first and above all, great work Mitch. I do have questions about the three stickers I saw on this truck. "Powerstroke", "slow and nasty" and "I heart Virginians" , all point to a theme, don't they? Are these the 3 most common questions the owner answers that actual stickers were needed? The amount of sludge from that bucket was amazing. New tag, #IlikeMike is a possibility. I like that you have gallon containers of the chemicals now. Have a great weekend!
This is one of the most respectfully dirty vehicles I've seen you do in a while. Just muddy from being used as a truck. At least there wasn't any dead rats or thousands of french fries under the seats like some vehicles you've done!
I would say family haulers getting dirty is respectable too because that's a vehicle doing it's job as well. Especially in Canadian Winters. However most of them are absolutely over the top.
@@davidmollard9832 dirty is one thing, leaving the coffee cups and food piled so high nobody can see the carpet is just disrespectful. I’m not saying you should pre-wash before a detail, but clean the junk out first at least. I think that’s what OP is referring to here.
When you think he missed a spot but it’s just something on the screen of your phone 😂😂 You’re so good at this! I love it! It’s so relaxing to watch you detail cars!
I tried to watch other detailing videos but end up unfilled and unsatisfied. I be like they missed this, they didn’t do that, and I always find myself coming back to your vids cause you’re the only one in my opinion that does it right! Keep up the good work and keep those vids coming!!!
I've been a detailer for 14 and a half years, and know the tough work it is. And I still get a great satisfaction watching the transformation. Glad I found your channel
also I love how even though a carpet may not look physically dirty, you always take the extra time to extract to make sure you get all the invisible dirt. great job!🙂
I’m the detailed in the family and you have taught me so much! Thank you! At 65, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. My favorite part of your videos is listening to you play at the end. Very sweet music while I’m on chemo. Keep up the good work.
Your work ethic is unmatched! I know the detail places in my city do half the work yet double the pay! It's nice to see someone actually doing the job done right! Don't ever change
What’s frustrating about watching all these videos is that set the standard of what I’d want if I were to get my car detailed. You’re so meticulous and great at it, that I want that done on my car, but you can’t expect many people to have the level of care and craft that you do when detailing a car.
i’ve only had my car “detailed” once. i put that in quotations because it honestly sucked, i do a better job when i’m not lazy and do it myself. which is why i’ve never paid for anyone to clean my car ever again. i just get off my butt and go do it once every 2 months or so.
Honestly for a 2002 F-250. It’s in really great shape! The guy who owns it knows how to maintain the truck well. I like the addition of the custom wheels, grille and the lights. Makes the F-250 look good

Not only do you put in all this effort into your work, but it’s so evident the effort you put into recording too. The angles and the editing are really well done!

Hey Mitch! This was definitely one of the best pressure washes I’ve ever seen. As soon I get home I start to watch the best detailer out there! Nice work Mitch!
In three months, maybe four, my parents will have me wash our Truck for the family business (we’re selling mini camper trailers that you can have on the back of your truck - like a mini caravan) so I’ll be washing the car for the business shows etc. I’ll definitely be using your products to do so, your channel has given me so much information on how to properly clean cars/trucks and I thank you for that ❤

Thank you for answering my question! I honestly don’t remember when I sent that but I wanted to know since I wanted to use a pressure washer on my car but didn’t know if I had to have a certain psi or just use a certain tip 😊
When mine gets that muddy underneath, I set an oscillating sprinkler underneath to get it all softened up again. We have red clay, and it sets up HARD.

@TheDetailGeek I have 2 questions. 1. Does carpeted wheel wells actually work. I know the theory, but I want to hear what your thoughts are on them. 2. Does having drywall in your garage with pressure washing concern you at all? Even if not a direct hit from the pressure washer, I feel humidity may take its toll on them.
It didn’t look like you did this but I may be wrong. If you wet the heavily muddy areas first before starting on the rest by the time you get back to them they will be loosened up and wash off easier. I used to clean the work trucks at the mine and they would be coated in clay I could spend upwards of 30 min per wheel/wheel well just removing the clay build up. But like I prefaced this you may already do that I’m not certain. Love your videos!! Soothing and full of great info has helped me a lot with cleaning my personal vehicles!!

Hey Mitch, how common or unusual is it to have floor drains in garages there? When I lived in Ohio I dreamed of having that...I mentioned it to our builder when we planned our house here in Texas and he just rolled his eyes. We also don't have issues with Salt here in TX...I am grateful.
I live in the upper midwest and every single new house we do, it has a floor drain in the garage. I’d rather have a floor drain than the concrete guys not doing the floor like it’s supposed to and having a puddle of water sitting in there.
Reminds me of working at the rock quarry. We would have to wash our trucks almost every day before heading home with similar looking mud caked underneath. Water volume makes a big difference at getting the mud off. In addition to a pressure washer, we had a booster pump feeding a 1” hose with tapered nozzle. So good at getting the wheel wells and rockers knocked off.
Great video as always. It’s hard to remember when watching this that these details take hours. I do have a question too. I have horrible hard water at my home. Is there anything I can add to the hose line or anything else I can do to avoid hard water spots on my vehicle. (Other than add a whole home water softening system)
Maybe on this one that was so difficult, you should have sprayed underneath while you did the tires and wheels so it could pre-soak might make it easier but I have no idea

It'll be nice for you to have a studio now instead of having all the mud in your personal garage. Great job Mitch!
The most impressive part of any of his videos is that he can pressure wash for hours and not be absolutely drenched.
🤌🏻✨
Agree. My shoes and pants would be soaked!
I think its some kind of voodoo how that happens... he remains spotless despite water and dirt flying everywhere🙌🏾🙌🏾😜. Never ceases to amaze me 😀
I'm also surprised his garage doesn't have mud splatter on the walls
He doesn't even break a sweat! 😁
Takes a lot of patience 😊
I have to do a injection every other week and I get soooo anxious. Right before I have to do it I throw your channel up and anything I’m anxious and worried about goes away within 2 mins of your videos. They get me through more than they know ❤️ keep posting forever.
Why in the garage? All that mud, why not outside the garage???
This one made me happy. I learned to drive in a 2003 F250 Platinum edition that was also a 7.3 power stroke Diesel. I’ve washing a truck like that countless times.
You missed a spot
I’m joking…
This was a joke.
How could he miss a spot?
He’s the detail geek!!
I'd be so flipping happy with just a spray job but I love how you go the extra mile

Love the passion you guys have for your work....the Dmax will be a weapon , I look forward to the watching the build ....Respect
Love your work and I truly applaud your passion for hard work. Question, isn't there a better way to get the mud off without using so much water??
Wow the results are fantastic back to new can’t belive how well of a job you do Xx

精神 keep it up @The Detail Geek
great i'm back in my cleaning truck videos phase, not long till my pool cleaning stage makes a comeback
How does the drywall in the garage hold up to the humidity and spray from washing cars in the garage?
Hello there 👋👋,how are you doing today? Hope you’re having a good day!GOD BLESS YOU!!💝
For mud like that have you tried using one of the heads that spins on the pressure washer? Idk what they are called but thought it might make your job a little easier. Thanks for the great content!
