Join Strymon's Pete Celi, Matt Piper and Nick Casale as they put the new Brig dBucket Delay pedal through its paces. With three distinctly different Voices inspired by classic bucket brigade circuits, Brig can do anything from warm short slapback echos to long stereo cross-coupled dreamscapes and everything in between, and as an added bonus it's one of the best standalone BBD chorus pedals we've heard. Check out the video for a ton of '70s and '80s goodness!
All samples recorded direct using Iridium as the amplifier.

Absolutely loving this pedal and the extensive demo. Would be amazing to have a demo with a synth too for future products.
Yes! You did inspiring music with it. It is very pleasant to listen :)
You folks make the absolute BEST pedals !
Thank you!!
Fantastic!
This sounds great!😱
Thank you! 😀
My next pedal!
Nice unique chorus.
I use the Timeline Filter Chorus...even while owning a CE2 and a JC120
sounds nice
Great delay sounds
just when i thought i didnt need another pedal...
It sounds incredible, as if there was any doubt Strymon makes great sounding pedals. Packed with features for such a small box. I would be mighty tempted if I was in the market for delay, but me think Volante will suffice for now :)
Sounds great! I see in the mnual you are teasing me again with the mention of using NIxie witht his pedal... I am eagerly awaiting the Nixie update to support Volante, I'm hoping this will happen soon...
Wow! I didn’t know that this small pedal can do all this beautiful things. I think that this pedal i was looking for the light ambient stuff!
But I didn’t get what for “multi “ pedal?
Love it
🍒
Please, can someone tell me what is the guitar used for the last example, open filter? I LOVE IT :)
It's a Supro, if I'm looking at the correct example. Hope that helps!
Eu quero!
Is Pete Celi playing with the Iridium? can I ask for the setting? all Pete Celi's samples sound like beyond amazing together with the Brig
Yes, all the sound samples in the video were recorded direct using Iridium as the amp and cabinet. Pete used Iridium's Round amp with Cab A for his clean examples, and Iridium's Punch amp with Cab A for his "3205 - No Modulation" example that begins at 05:37. Hope this helps!
Was the 3205 | With Gain at 13:51 using the Chime model in the Iridium with the pedal settings shown? That was a great sound!
Yup! Iridium has lots of very versatile drive tones
Hey there! We should also mention that there is a Riverside before it in low gain mode providing the extra dirt.
@@strymon The Riverside is on my shopping list :)
Is that another unreleased pedal (the blue one) on the shelf in the first playing example?
Not a Strymon pedal...
Placebo return!
Sure, but can it do the Aquapuss tape echo thing? It uses 3205s as far as I'm aware.
You mean manipulate the Time pot and get fun sounds a la Radiohead? Absolutely. It has all of the sonic attributes of 3205 or 3005 chips, but doesn't have the same limitations as analog, since it isn't. Hope that helps!
Love the sound of this but there are two major things that hold me back from buying it:
1) The lack of a dedicated tap tempo switch like on other regular strymon delays
2) The limited delay time on the 3205 setting. We all love the sound of the Boss DM2, but it's delay time is limited. Why limit it again in a digital pedal when it could be extended and therefore allow people to make use of it's sound with longer delay times?
Glad you're digging the sound of Brig! Two things: 1) there isn't room for a tap tempo switch on the pedal, so we included the new tap mode as a way to not need to use an external pedal. No, another switch wouldn't have fit especially considering the boards inside - it would have made the entire thing unwieldy. 2) the time limitation for each voice is more of a UI thing. If you enter tap mode, you can get nearly 2 full seconds of delay in any of the three voices. Hope that helps!
Is this basically the dBucket machine from the Timeline in a pedal?
It seems likely, hey.
The small form factor is the point, I guess, though adding any other delay will soon negate that.
Timeline is still the standard for me, so much to be inspired by.
I think it’s more likely an update to their brigader pedal
Lisa needs this
Yes, she does.
Just when I loved my el capistan v 1…. and think that never changes…
Well, I *WAS* thinking of getting a Flint soon.....hmmm.
This pedal sounds fantastic. I wish they would think outside of the box a little bit though.
