Same. Logically I don't know how the grease will make the hair grow. I would expect it to clog the pores if applied to the scalp. Might grow faster without the scalp greas.

@@PhDDimeKB these products seems excessive one bottle of grease/oil ,water and a leave in conditioner would have the same result. The oil or grease should be used as a sealant for the water and conditioner to keep hair moisturized.

Pro tip: Go to the spice cabinet 🗄️ put in your container 🫙 equal 🟰 parts rosemary, cloves, and fenugreek. Then add olive 🫒 oil, add any other oils that work for your hair type(argan, jojoba, black castor…). Warm the container 🫙 in hot water and keep it in a cool dark dry place. No grease, no goop, no glops. No competition just an alternate way. Use for hot oil treatment, sealing, and scalp.

Minus the fenugreek I boiled cloves and rosemary. Drained it let it cool off added a small amount of peppermint oil and poured in a spray bottle. I spray it on my scalp and hair everyday or every other day and keep my hair braided. Not individual or cornrows but plaits and wear a stocking cap and baseball hat most days. Might comb my hair once every 2 weeks . It works my hair was thinning in the front and top with ball spots. When I did comb my hair I'd wear a up ponytail and would have to use hair fibers to cover the thinning. At first I had to use a lot of fibers to cover the thinning now after using this mixture I'm using less and less fibers, my hair is filling in and getting thicker. It's a process it's been about 8 months but I see the difference and I'm a witness that this works. Looking forward to the day I no longer need to use fibers.

Hair grows an average of 1/2 inch per month (or 6 inches per year). Some people grow less, some grow more. This is largely determined by genetics. Topical products can’t change the rate your hair grows. All you have to do is retain what grows. The grease or oil may help you keep the hair in good condition so that it stays moisturized and doesn’t break off, but it does not make the hair grow any faster.

Great tip to note: when mixing the different products, it is better to warm the bowl up by placing in hot water to melt to a liquid. Do NOT microwave. This way, it keeps the mess down and easy to pour in the container. You can cool in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, then you're all set.

My daughter was almost bald until the age of 2. She's now 14, and her hair comes to her hips, all natural. I've only ever used shampoo, leave in conditioner, and a light oil for her scalp. I never use anything that pulls her hair, always protective styles, I wash her hair every 2 weeks, and her hair is very healthy. More than half the women in my family have shoulder length or longer hair but are usually thin. My daughter's hair is super thick. All you need is to find a few products that keep your hair moisturized, good clarifying shampoo, and limit tension and heat as much as possible.

I’m happy for her that she’s found a routine that works for her (for real, no hate ❤), but judging by the pictures she chose for this video, I have to agree with you on this 🤔 Their curly hair two years ago just looked shrunken to me, not necessarily short (for their age). If she had showed that same hair straightened and compared it to their straightened hair two years later, I wouldn’t be surprised by the difference in length. 2.5 years is a long time for hair to grow and be retained, with or without this mixture of grease and oils, especially considering kids’ hair is usually kept tucked away in protective styles anyway. My only issue is that the hair community keeps saying “growth” when we really mean “length retention.” These two words are not synonymous. Hair product companies and advertisers are guilty of this too.

Black hair is not all the same as we know. What works for some doesn’t work for all. Keeping the hair free of harmful chemicals is a must. Thoroughly washing the hair and consistently is next. Keeping the hair well hydrated is next. If I’m wearing braids I can use the oils. If silk pressed I have to use hair grease and just a little because the hair will become heavy. In summer we do braids 2-3 months. Winter silk pressed. Clip if it becomes unmanageable. My daughters hair is to her waist. I’m 70 and my hair is still growing and healthy and touches the top of my bra strap. We don’t do weaves. No need to. Braids is enough. Works for us and hopefully it can help someone else. 🥰❣️💯

Honestly I think that applying oil to the scalp and massaging the scalp is what helps to stimulate growth.
True story: I give my pets food grade diatomaceous earth to kill any parasites and for overall health benefits. Over time he years, they have never tested positive for parasites at annual check ups, so I believe it’s been working.
I started to take a teaspoon or so of food grade diatomaceous in a glass of orange juice - it is not pleasant but i figured the pluses out weight the con. A few months after regularly taking DE, I was walking my dogs early in the motioning while it was still dark and I thought I felt someone walking up on me. I whipped around and saw no one - it took me a few moments to realize that it was the weight on my newly grown hair that I was feeling down my back 😂! My hair had grown so quickly, I didn’t realize it. My nails grew very quickly too. I had to cut back on my doses of DE because I prefer strong hair, not necessarily long hair and don’t want to have to cut it so regularly. There ar elite of testimonials online about food grade DE for all kinds of health and beauty benefits.

None of this is necessary at all. 1 or 2 is plenty. As long as dry scalp & hair are moisturized. People with naturally oil skin usually don't need anything added to scalp. You can clog pores too so only use as needed.
P.S. The naturally curly hair looks way more healthy than the straightened hair & I don't see any extra growth (2 yrs is a long time). Her hair is going to grow that'll regardless as long as it's kept healthy.
