Hi Claire, Crafters Companion make a Stick and Spray temporary adhesive for holding down stencils, this might be worth a try before you give up on the old screens.
Soooooo glad you didn’t leave out the Zen green!!! Thank you!! Love that color!! I like both trays, but I agree, the abstract colorful one is my favorite… Btw, you and Wendy were were so gracious in sending good wishes to my granddaughter (Norah) when she had her tonsils removed, and we were binge watching your videos, well we’re at it again, poor thing now has mononucleosis… She wants to say hello to you and George!! 🥰
I love the fern stencil. I think the silk screens are having a tough time being reused with jesmonite, because it isn't as smooth as acrylic paint. The fine powder, even when in liquid, blocks the sticky surface. I was supposed to do some experimenting with the silk screens today, but first, my small scale informed me that 12 years of functioning was enough, and I ended up ordering a new one, and then, my kitchen scale ran out of batteries, and at that point I figured it was not meant to be. 😂
I watch and always like your videos but I rarely comment but here I want to try to make you feel better about the less minimalist piece. Sorry it’s your work so your work, your art and the most important opinion is yours but I really like them both. Like you I tend towards the minimalist look but both those are lovely for different reasons. Great job and I’m going to try this but using acrylic paint. 💕
I really like these. The silk screen saved the tray. I didn't really like this background as much as the last one, but now it's awesome. Very cool, hun. xoxoxo.
Hi Claire, I’m really enjoying your jesmonite trays, they’re gorgeous. Thank you. Could you maybe try a spay tack adhesive, just to hold the silk screens. Thank you Claire x❤
Beautiful work, as usual. You should be able to spray the stencils with a temporary adhesive and use them again. I think they even still make a stencil-specific temporary adhesive. They used to, at least. I used to do a lot of painting on clothing, & it was available then. (I don’t want to date myself, but let’s say it was over 20 years ago. 😂) I hope this is helpful to you as you are helping all of us. Happy Creating!!!!!
Oh my goodness, Claire! Those ferns! *PERFECT!!!* 😘 Your "fix" took a "hmmm" tray and brought it up to WOW-I-WANT-THAT! ❤😊 I *LOVE* the minimalist coaster, too! Would buy that in a heartbeat! 💕 Really looking forward to your monochrome, dual-texture effects. I love textured surfaces so much! Your Jesmonite experiments are *awesome!* Thank you! 😊💕
I like 'em! Maybe add some temp tattoos to the mainly coral tray that you're not truly happy with? Like flowers on the white blobs? Then add a bee or insect?
I love ❤️ all the different depths of each give them all of a different look. I also like the 1st large tray the best ❤. To bad about the stencils not sticking the way you thought they would. Thank you for another great video !!
It reminds me of a theme(I don't know the name),but sooo beautiful 😍 .Loved today's creation, the tray turned out so beautiful with those designs made,Ms Claire And you took it a step further by adding the silk screens and creating the 3d leaves patterns,😍😍😍💜💜,wonderful creation 😀 💜💜💜
I really like the final dish on the right and the balance of colour and stencils you picked. But each to their own 🤗 I’m looking forward to seeing the same colour Jesmonite over each other on the same dish.
Gorgeous both of these trays,Ms Claire 😍💜.Loved the creation process where you created those wonderful textured leaves patterns with the silk screens, truly amazing work 😍💜😍💜
Claire would you please make a video of a resin piece and use the stencil that is not so sticky? A stencil on resin full stickiness doesn’t work…. I love your enthusiasm and excitement when making your pieces.
Fantastic end result! At least the silkscreens can still be used for polymer clay once they have lost their stick-ability. I suspect any spray adhesive product would clog the mesh too much.
Just a suggestion.. I use the Zig 2 way glue to restock my vinyl cutting mats.. I just clean them and put the glue on and let it dry.. works great.. love your vids
I wonder if you could apply some kind of adhesive to the stencil once it has started to become less tacky, like spritz it with a spray glue. It would have to be something that doesn't clog the stencil or damage the material, but you might get a few more uses out of them. Worth an experiment, anyway. These projecrs look great! Love them!
I LOVE both trays!!! I wonder if you could use the spray adhesives (the kind that are temporary) on your stencils so they would be stickier? Maybe that would help with the seepage.
Just wondering if you use a lint roller on the back of the silkscreens to make them stickyer🤔 I did use that technique with my cricut mats.... didn't make them as sticky as they were but it kinda worked .... maybe it could help with the screens....luv your creativity Claire!!!❤
I've been trying the silk screens on tote bags and jesmonite plant pots after watching your videos. I too have found they don't stay very sticky which is such a shame
LOVING this bring on more jesmonite !!!. I am thinking that you could also do this with resincrete ? Love seeing your thoughts and ideas come to creation so inpsiring !!!
I think Resincrete might be too runny and your stencilled areas might lose their definition around the edges. You might need to wait a while and allow it to begin to thicken before stencilling. It would be cool to see whether it does work!
@@laurawilliams4005 Hmm yeah that could be very true. when i get aroudn to it i must try it cause atm al i have is resin crete hehehe thankyou for replying
@selene4621 I tried Resincrete and it does work! I added a little extra powder to get a thicker consistency, but this gives you only about 5 mins work time. I hope you get good results!
Heyyyyy .. so sorry you're allergic to resin 😢😢 even with the best respirator, Goggles and gloves ... it can still cause a reaction in some 😢😢 This is non toxic and Eco friendly .. I do not know of a single person having a reaction to it. However .. I cannot promise that for anyone x
@@ClairesCraftyCorner that’s awesome. When working with resin I’m wearing rubber apron and chemical resistant gloves etc so I’ve ordered some jesmonite. Thanks so much for replying 😁

Fascinating to see how those silk screen handled the Jesmonite! I think the lonely leaf against the red was my favourite.
Yes! Bring anything Jesmonite!!! Love the ladybird looking dollop too

Beautiful colors and design ❤❤❤ 🐰🐣🐇

Beautiful! Love the texture from the silkscreens.

I like the large rectangle tray too as there is so much to look at.. and the lighter background is more appealing. Thanks for the test!
Love the chat and the video. Beautiful trays❤❤❤
Wow!! Those are uniquely gorgeous 😍
I absolutely love your jesmonite work!!
I prefer the tray from this video, before and after the silk screens. I think the coasters and the tray make a lovely set.
It looks like real ferns in some places. I have never used this stuff myself, but will keep it in mind for future. Love it.❤
I love the first tray the most 😊

YES!!! That’s the texture I’ve been looking for!! It’s good to know that it CAN work with silkscreens. Thanks Miss Claire ❤️

They are beautiful now it gives me something else to try. I just have to buy some silk screens 😊
Fantastic end result!

Silk stencils are only sticky for about 10 uses Claire 😊
Perfect video to watch while listening to my kiddos telling the worst jokes EVER!!!

I'd love to see the same colors but different saturations. Like less drops of color for the base and more for the silk screen. ❤
Love this so so much xx
Zen Green all the way 💚💚💚💚💚

Could you let the thick Jesmonite sit a couple of minutes before peeling it back? Beautiful ❤
Can you use tack it glue for these?

@@laurawilliams4005 oh wow that is awesome thankyou so much for letting me know
Can you use oil base paints with the silk screens on the Jesmomite?
Are you able to either tape the stencils in place or use spray adhesive around the screens?
Your stickiness problem. Could that be solved using a repositional glue spray. Like paper crafters use for their rubber stamps.
Hiya everyone x
I love Nomad Paradise Islands but Garden of Juvia's is not a favorite, I don't know why. I keep Garden because of the duo chromie shimmers.
What is Jesmonite like for allergies? I’m apparently allergic to resin😢
