Yeah, I think a Foxbody looks much better sitting low. It has a nice stance, now. I’ve got a 1989 LX Mustang with Eibach lowering springs. It looks and drives really good, but with the wide tires, I get rubbing when I turn real tight, when parking. Hey, I saw a N.C. tag on your car. I’m in Cary, N.C.. 👍Tony B
@@ChipsAndSparksGarage Nice, mine rubs passenger side..but mostly because my k member is shifted back toward the passenger side. Right now I have the motor out, should be a bit easier to locate the k member now
I did a coil and a half and dropped about 1.5"-2" but not totally sure on the drop because I forgot to measure the car ride height also! I did it because I kinda plan on lower springs or different suspension af some point bu but this was the free option haha
@@ImprovisedBuilds yeah that's what I plan on doing. With 3 young kids it's hard lol I want some aluminum heads with gt40 intake but I dont see that happening for awhile lol
How are they riding still now that it’s been a year? Coil and a half? And per say, how does it ride you would say compared to other lowered fox bodies without cut springs

Nc is a good place to be! Do yours tires rub on one side more than another or about the same both ways?

Did you need to modify the shock mounts? Is the car more jumpy for you? Can you confirm how much you cut the spring?

Did you just measure the spring, than measure a inch and a half mark if than cut it? Want to do this to my fox save some money lol

Do the springs mess up over time if you cut them like that? Or is it the same?
No issues so far,l. From what I have heard, the part of the coil I cut out is "dead" and doesn't change spring rate, just ride height.

I've unfortunately never actually been in another foxbody to make a comparison but they still ride fine and comfortable, still driving with them haha!

Kinda hard to tell in the video, but the driveway runs downhill towards the garage, I had the e-brake on also but dont trust it very much lol
