@@Jmort93 Yeah I totally missed that. From what I understand with the E53 X5 you'll hear a hissing sound and or it will be setting lowering in the rear when the bag(s) fail. Replacing is pretty straight forward, not complicated. Unlike the Audi Allroad when replacing the bag(s) you have to put it in a service mode before jacking the car or you'll damage the bags.
This car has the self levelling - you can see the air bag strut in front of the damper, minute1:45, & the blue & red hoses inside the car running from the compressor at minute 3:22.
What really impresses me is he does all that work without knocking his hat off. Always happens to me. lol

What usually works for me to loosen the top nut is using an impact driver so you don't need a tool to hold the center shaft.

Is this one with self-leveling suspension?

This version appears to have the Rear Self Leveling Air suspension as seen at 4:35 next to the shock
Self leveling would have a bag and a hose going to the top. I've done them on Land Rovers.

The fact you have to go through the damn trunk to do shocks... reminds me why I need to stop buying bmw.. total nonsense.
