Today I made Honda’s famous vtec system using LEGO. Using 2 cam profiles and switching between them gives the engine 2 personalities. The LEGO 2 stroke engine is well underway but I need your guys support to move the idea into production. Best way to help is to show how much you guys wanna see it by liking, sharing and subscribing!! - Авто та транспорт
VVT aka variable valve timing is a computerised timing when the engine reaches a certain RPM by the computers coding, it will engage a connection to a rocker that is longer, in turn pushing the valves open for longer, this is used to create low down torque when needed and high end power as with no VVT, depending on the engine set up, there could be low end power or high end power, VVT allows the use of both low end and high end. This can also remove valve float and have the ability to increase RPM (revolutions per minute).
Thx for joining my ted talk.
You are welcome Juna :)
U madlad
haha very informative, thanks
Good info, that’s what I was wondering
vvt is shifting the timing of the valves. As in, whether the valve opens and closes early or open and closes late.
variable valve duration changes how long the valve is open.
Variable lift control changes how far the valves open.
vvt does not imply variable valve duration.
everybody gangsta until a guy pulls up to the car meet with a civic with a lego engine
I like how it has a throttle cable and an actual rocker arm. Pretty neat stuff.
Domonateor thats pretty neat
"MAAAAAAAM MY CIVIC IS A SPORTS CAR I NEED R COMPOUND TIRES"
But maaaaam its a Civic Si.... That stands for... Sports car....
lol supernoodle
@Hennesey shinyodd didn't say that
LOOK AT THE VTEC
@Hennesey no
No! You can't build the VTec system with lego!
Haha VTEC KICKS IN YO!!!
If possible, is there any way you could do a slow motion of it running?
I would like to see how much valve float there is, honestly it seemed pretty minimal, all things considered.
This is pretty badass! I've been seeing a lot more stuff like this on UA-cam now that everyone is essentially on house arrest.
1:30
Someones been running without oil.
1:12 VTEC kicks in!
No! You can’t just make a VTEC system that took ages of engineering to create out of legos!
hhaha vtak go brrr nyoom
This is not vtec
looks like someone did not watch the whole video when they commented
And thats the example of my VTEC system Thank you For that wonderful demonstration
Vtec just kicked in yo !!!!
1:12 v tec kicked in YO!
Can it fit in my Honda this time?
This is truly impressive!
Keep up the good work buddy!
I like the ignition system you used for the two-stroke! Using the electric swatter is a pretty smart idea.
Amazing! Great I subbed :-)
Lol on the city I live I have never see that type of LEGO and if it does exist it's insanely expensive...
AWESOME !
This is cool!
Man i want to make a engine in lego but its corona so i cant :(
Spicem me too
Order legos online?
just order
MOM LOOK AT THE VTAAC
Thank gpd ypur channel is back alive! Im proud of you
VTEC kicked in yo!!
This is cool
v-tec kicked in yo!
Well done.
Lego vtec kicked in yo💪
Great work
Very cool👌
Glad to see I’m not the only one who uses a drill
That’s some V-Tex right there
Vtec kicked in yoooo
oof, nice! iam so excited for the combustion engine! you may be the first one that will make one that will run for at least some time.
VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO
V-tec kicked in yo
Nice
Yup that’s how the ol V-tech work Babi Mo Powa 😂
VTEC kicked in yooooo
nice
Vtec kicked in yo
YOOO VTEC JUST KICK INNNNNN!!!!!!!!
Everybody gangsta till VETC kicks in
Ha this is awesome
VTEC kicks in yo
Kicks V-tech in yo!
That's enough valve float to unsink the titanic.
Cooool
Cool
Lego kicked in yoo!
V-TEC KICKED IN YOOOOOOOO!!
VTEC kick in yo
nice civic dude
V-TEC kickin yoo :v
Yoohuu! I'm wait working engine!
Niiiice
When you like hondas but cant afford one
Bruh a Honda is probably less expensive than all this lego
My brothers integra was only like 900 usd
looks like your getting valve float. stronger springs maybe? looks good keep up the good work
SGT_Rubix mc I think it’s just the vtec kicking in. As in higher lift and duration.
Have you considered using a two cylinder design for the LEGO engine? It would remove much of the momentum issue as when one piston went down, it wouldn’t need as much momentum to push it back up.
Brick kicks in yo 🤣
0:28 VTEC JUST KICKED IN YOOOOOO!
When is the ford modular v8 episode gonna come out or the ls series motors
instead of the 2 stroke real combustion engine can you do a 4 stroke version

--Time to float--
Lovely moc do you have the instructions
There’s some valve float there
@120rpm already! Nice...
Nice, now I can hit 9k in Lego form too
Más bien se parecen valvulas
分かりやっす
maybe you can use this after you make an actually working 2 stroke and move on to 4 strokes?
V TEC IS KICKING IN BOIS
This is the engine thta kids like.
Очень круто
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MO POWA BABEH
Sounds like a Honda too 😂
sound like a Honda too
i wonder how does the pin not hit the Larger rocker arm
Ahh the same music crunchyroll uses for their nenderoids
In yamaha its called vva aka variable valve actuation
Man I thought it would break from that much vtec
I made this system ,but OHV ,when i was 11 years old
What's the lsa duration and lift specs on that cam😂😂
And it sounds like a civic, too!
Sounds like a Civic too
Looks cool. But cylinder operations (injection ignition etc) does not happen at the same time, so pushing the valves at the same time is wrong. Awesome work nonetheless.
Wont to seeee
1:39 *VTEC YO!*
At 1:32 it starts to actually sound like my old Honda engine lol
HOME LEGO Engine and 8 Speed Automatic Transmission. Make that happen.
Try doing a lego 350 Chevy engine
Oh lord
Now make it kick in at a certain rpm and youre really hitting V-tec, yo.
Lol, can you make a V8 v10 or v12?
Do Toyota TVIS 4-age system
*[DONT STAND SO CLOSE TO ME]*
You have to learn port timining, you will have a lot of problems if you don't have the port timing correct. Also you could make a piston ported intake instead of reed valve which would make the engine a lot more compact. My version (which doesn't work yet because of lack of compression) uses a basic 2x2 lego brick as a piston with correct timing.
edit: search for 2 stroke timing chart, print it, attach it to the flywheel and yoy can see when different ports are supposed to open and close.
Ye civic sound exactly like that 😂
me the day before November
*HAPPY SHINGO NOICES*
please make 2JZ gte out of LEGO 😆
RX-7 rotative Engine !!!!
