    20 plus years making "Shaker" furniture. I often used poplar.
    Your inspired cabinet looks great.
    It is a fallacy that Shakers commonly used milk paint on furniture.

    Im actually wanting to build a taller shaker cabinet just like this. I really like the color scheme you’ve chosen here. Also curious if 1/2” birch plywood would be durable for the sides on a cabinet similar to this one.
