Unpopular Opinion: they've tried to with D2, D3, and D4 to make a Diablo universe more than just about 1 being of evil. Which I don't hate. It sucks not to see much of Diablo or the Angels, but I do enjoy them trying to leverage more of the wider lore and story we've only touched on when it was relevant to stopping Diablo.
So I guess in the next exp you need to kill jesus mephisto, after that you can finally kill mephisto in his true form ( propably then will diablo show up and the same shit happens again) not buying this shit!

One-two expansion for Diablo, repeat for Baal, repeat for Belial, Azmodan, the Angels especially Imperius. It takes a long time to progress through the story and the world. I thought more info would be in this expansion on where and why Tyrael ran away. Also, no Lorath this Neyrelle centered expansion?? What we got this expansion was only more fleshed out lore on Akarat...

Diablo III's story had issues, but at least it dared to have a story that moved the series forward. We got to see heaven's workings, the return of the nephalem, the lesser evils had story moments, Diablo Invaded Heaven, Malthael killed half of humanity, and all the characters you cared about were still there. Then they threw all of that away and made this absolute personality and story void.
See you next season. Season of Mephistos journey. ThenSeason of Mephistos rage. Then Season of Mephistos ultimate form. Then Season of Mephisto. Then DLC of Baals return.

These "expansions" starting to feel like those manga "mini-chapters" that come like 1.1, 1.2 etc... Where they divide a single chapter in several tiny increments.
They have messed up the lore with all this Spirit bull crap. They made a char no one wanted with this Bravestar wannabe in stead of a Crusader or Paladin or VampKnight and the campaing fucking sucks. Lucky we have POE2 coming soon. Done with this bullshit.
