Living in Cali my whole life was like what ever and then moving to Texas reminded me how good I had it
😂🤣
Move back especially liberals! Have no business in Texas!

I love California
I too
I haven't caught up to all your videos, but as a former Ca resident, I enjoy them immensely. I'm in Ga now and its quite pretty, but doesn't have the diversification that Ca. does. I used to roadtrip almost every weekend living in the Bay Area. Going from rolling dry hills with oak trees to the bay, then to redwood forests, rugged coastline, cut through San Francisco, etc. You could see so much in a day. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the comment and for watching the videos. I agree, the sheer amount of road trip possibilities here is so crazy like you said!
I’m in Greenville SC, but I miss CA terribly. Yes the Blue Ridge are nice, but no comparison to the Sierras and the coasts here are nothing to the great CA coasts
I still do and I road trip as much as possible respect brother! Nothing like that out door open minded peace
I am always amazed when I can discover the beauty of California through the eyes of someone else. Thank you for sharing and allowing me to remember why I live here!
No problem, thank you for the comment and for taking the time to watch the video!
Heading to California this October/November from Germany and I have been binge watching your videos! They are really great and informative 😍 Kind of planing my whole trip based on you 😀
I’ve lived in California my whole life (Inland Empire area) and I’ve only done 3 of them 😞
I’ve always wanted to have more adventures like these. Sometime it’s blows my mind that I live in a state that has so much to offer, and yet have never explored it to its fullest potential.
Because it's expensive living in California! With having wonderful things to do it can be hard to have fun doin one of these things.
I've done a few of these things while younger but that was probably my parents wanting to get us kids out
I feel the same way but what a blessing to live here
Staycation
Same I just moved out of that area to North Carolina.. made me realize how good we have out in Cali
I’ve done 9 of these so far I love traveling
5.5 I have been to Monterey Aquarium, Big Sur, Cable Car ride, Yosemite Valley, Stared up the redwoods and passed the Broad Museum.

You should do a video on the top 30 places to eat in California.
Great suggestion, I want to share more food videos this year. Until then, you can see some of my favorite places I ate in 2018 here californiathroughmylens.com/best-food-of-2018/

Wow, Wow, Wow,,, So beautiful location,,
I’ve been to 12, yay. As always, thank you for reminding us how beautiful California is ♥️
Nice, that is a good amount!
California Through My Lens A lot of them, I got to know they even existed because of you. Thank you!!
You should have made it 31 and added Point Reyes National Seashore, the only national seashore on the west coast, and one of the most sublime places on Earth. Stunning beaches, deep woods, amazing views, quaint towns.
I've done 18. Looks like I have some road trips in my future! We are so lucky to live in the most beautiful and diverse state in the union. Thank you!
i love californiaaaa ❤❤
What a great list! Done quite a few - been to The Channel Islands more times than I can count. Almost went to Anza Borrego over the holidays - can’t wait to do that! Fun video 👍

So awesome, 20 is a lot! Let me know if you have any other recommendations!
Since I have subscribed to your channel, I had travelled to 14 out of 30 places you have listed in this video. Your videos are helpful as I travelled to California twice in 2 years and still have a lot of places to visit.
So awesome, glad the videos have inspired some travel. So much to see in California!
I have experienced half of these attractions of our beautiful state of California.

Thanks for the video! I've done 14 and I need more😁
Great vid. I've done half of them so far :)
I miss CA so much. Lived there for many years and I miss it. Probably been to 1/3 on your list. Hoping you can do Mendocino, Humboldt and other central coast counties!
I've only done #21 and #26. I have to get back there someday!!!!
rode the aerial tram back in july, what a great experience.
the temp in palm springs was 105, it qas 61 at the top of the mountain
Yep, it is a great way to escape the heat for sure!
You are a great Ambassador to the State of California, I can't imagine how many people are heading this way because of your videos. Big Thumbs Up!
I appreciate that! I try to show off all the natural beauty the state has!
Me! And these videos are my travel guide!

That was fun. I've done a few but not near enuff
Awesome video... good information in short time. I can feel it you are expert about CA. I lost some places and hope visit next time.
Thanks for the comment and I try to share all the knowledge I have about CA through these videos. I am glad it gave you some new spots to explore!
11 of the 30 completed! I can do a lot more as some are in driving distance. Great Channel!!
Awesome, there is always so much to explore in CA!
Awesome video 😎 you really inspire people to travel to California!
Thanks, I appreciate that. My goal is to get more people out there experiencing the beauty of our state.
@@californiathroughmylens It absolutely is a beautiful state - all throughout the year! Watching your other videos - Cheers :)
lovely video
Thanks for not having an annoying verbal countdown and descriptions! All the other videos suck.
We are flying to San Francisco in September from the UK. A few days in the city, then visiting family in Redding before our 2 weeks road trip. Crater Lake first then to Astoria - driving south on the Pacific coast back to San Francisco. Thanks for your videos we love them. My husband has done most of your list, but I have never been to the USA.
So awesome! Be sure to go to Burney Falls when you are in Redding and have fun exploring!
Have fun exploring and discovering things. It is a beautiful state with so much to offer. The big cities are like any big cities with the good and the bad but, most people are more than happy to help you out with directions, places to eat, visit etc. So, don’t be shy in asking. Have a wonderful trip!
Thanks!
There’s a lot of states where it would be hard to come up with 30, but for CA it’s hard to whittle it down to that. Some good ones for sure. California’s got it all.
Agreed, I was trying to make the list diverse but I could have easily done 100.
All of them!
I have been to all of these but 5. There is so much to see in CA and no top list would miss pinnacles national park, the Mendocino coast, lassen volcanic and mount Shasta. The monarch refuge in pismo near thanksgiving time is magical. Avila beach/sycamore springs hot tubs are my de-stress go to. Sequoia/kings canyon are stunning. I live in Ventura and happen to think it is a much overlooked(which is also fine) beach town with a fantastic food culture and great night life downtown. Historic pier and fantastic parks and beach. It's a surfing and thrift store Mecca. Home to the brand Patagonia as well. It's becoming a quirky arts town. Check it out some time
Those are great suggestions as well, thanks for them! I like Ventura a lot but I haven't spent too much time there. The pier is awesome as is Beach House Tacos and Spencers Mackenzies. I stop at one of those each time I go through the area haha.
been to several places best place to go is california out in the middle of no where and relax fresh air a decent breeze creek rippling at your feet birds chirping in the trees and then walk back to your car when you understand the piece of mind just from hiking in california absolutely price less memories are better than anything
I agree, it is amazing to just get out in nature away from people, it's surprising how many places like that there still is.
@@californiathroughmylens you can even get paid to out in the open I started finding gold boss serious specs and flakes took me a while this state is beautiful you should see the black onyx I have found in this state you go to the fallbrook gem and mineral society and have it looked at I have done a lot of research on the things I find talk to you soon maybe a video on prospecting in california you go all over the state you have even been down by me orange county I will show you how to prospect I don't work hard at all
Nice video. Congratulations.
I am moving to California!!!!

@@rubyrubia9090 I already live here😂
Superb!
Truly a trip down memory lane for me - I live in Norway, but my wife and I (along with our three girls) stayed in Redwood City for eight months in 2016, and we got around 19 of the sights/experiences on your list while we were there. Please keep up the excellent work you do with these videos! PS. Where is that piece of music from? It set the tone perfectly 👍
Dang you did a lot! Thanks for the comment. The music is Green Summer Waves - Qeeo (it is from Epidemic Sound)
ive never been to CA but this vid was interesting
I better start working on this liste
5 out of 30, now I got an idea what to do for the summer.
See you @May 2019 😘@California
Have fun exploring CA!
All 30
Nice video. Im always watching your videos and it gives me inspiration so thank you for that. I started my own channel and im making travel videos as well. I hope i will be like you someday. Keep doing what youre doing and keep inspiring other people like me. Thank you 😊😊😊
Thanks for the comment, I will have to check out your channel!
Omg thank you. I am not a professional videographer or whatsoever, im only using iphone camera but i hope you will like my videos 😊😊
Visit Maverick Beach north of Half Moon Bay. Very cool trail along the bluff overlooking the beach front.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will have to check it out!
That’s it I’m headed to Big Sur to catch some fish!
I have to imagine that would be a great place for fish!
Well, that’s Bakers Beach in SF, but yes a must
1. Yosemite 17 times
2. Big Sur 5 times
3. Emerald Bay 7 times
4. Bodie 1 time
5. Monterey Aquarium 2 times, 24 years apart!
6. Pismo Beach 3 times (gotta eat at Splash Cafe!)
7. Badwater Basin 1 time
8. Redwoods Lived there for a year!
9. Elephant Seals 5 times
A little less than 1/3rd of them. Good thing I am Nevada Hiker and not California Hiker!
I really enjoyed Pinnacles NP, and desparately need to see Burney Falls!
Wow, you have me beat on Yosemite, I think I have only been 8 times or so myself. Actually, you have me beat on most of these haha maybe you should take over! I need to spend some time in Nevada, it's so close but I haven't done much other than Las Vegas.
@@californiathroughmylens Yosemite is a bit easier for me to visit since I have lived in the Reno/Tahoe area for 8 years! Funny I haven't hiked the Rubicon Trail though.
Plus, I stayed in Visalia for 5 months in '08. That made Yosemite even closer, not to mention Sequoia being only 45 miles away.
Definitely have Channel Islands, Hollywood Sign, Burney Falls, Torrey Pines, and Palm Springs Tram (San Jacinto!) in my sights!
Nevada doesn't have quite the diversity of Cali, but next time you get the chance hike Mt Rose in north Tahoe and make a trip to Pyramid Lake if you haven't already.
@@nevadahiker6661 Sounds great, I will have to look up Mt Rose as I would love to do some spots outside of CA as well.
Greetings from DR🇩🇴
Hello! Thanks for stopping by my channel!
14. I better get going.
Thanks to all of your great videos my family and I are heading to Cali for a 3 week RV trip ... what camera are you using to shoot your Vid's?
Thanks for the comment and have fun in CA! I use the Sony A7riii for my photos and videos.
Wow you have been uploading,
I have not been getting notifications from your channel.
Weird, yea I do my best to post once a week on Thursdays, sometimes more if I have more content to share. Thanks for coming back to the channel!
@@californiathroughmylens I'll be sure to keep checking
I agree with all your recommendations tho I’ve never been to salvation mountain. Never heard of it until you posted about it. There are interesting art installations all over CA like Anza Borrego. And the Watts Towers. Good to be reminded. But you did miss one of my fav , tho sort of ‘secret’ parts of CA.... hwy 395. You showed Bodie but that’s not my fav thing about the 395. 😉
The Big One (10.2) is expected to hit the state in 2022! Look for it.
20/30!
You have the best videos on Cali bro.
Thanks, I appreciate that! Nice username as well, Johnny Bravo was an amazing cartoon.
@@californiathroughmylens what city you from. I live in Koreatown los angeles
17/30 Hmmmmmm...........need too go on some more roadtrips
10/30
16 and counting. I have been to Anzo Borrego, but never saw the statues. I have however visited the artist's place near Temecula who I believe made the statues, and saw all the statues he has there. Never went to Marshall Beach, but have see the Golden Gate Bridge numerous times. Never hiked all the way to the Hollywood Sign but have hiked to view points of it.
I've done at lest 25-30 of these, missing channel islands, angel island, lava beds, kayaking in la Jolla cove, anza borrego, Balboa museum, railroad museum, salvation mountain, and one or two more. 😋.
PS ah yeah the Hearst castle, was there last week, but tours were sold out. Ended up spending the day in Morro bay and solvang CA
You have done a lot then! Yea, Hearst Castle gets super busy in the summer and when people are off school. I love Morro Bay and Solvang though so those are good places to explore instead
@@californiathroughmylens yes I've done a lot of them and many more most you've already covered in your videos, other things have been out of state, I don't mean to brag but we have the most diverse state in the the nation and you my friend have done a great job sharing your adventures throughout it. Respect
@@bajaboy27 Keep bragging, I think California is the best state as well :)
I love all your videos!!!!!!!
I've done all of these in GTA 😁
Two. Joshua Tree Park and Yosemite to watch Firefall in February. Well, three but you did not mention Sequoia National Park, that is my third. I live in Hanford.
Go to Figueroa Mountain in the Santa Ynez Valley, then wine taste and visit Solvang and have Danish pasteries and go to the Backroom (secret speak easy) for a beer...!
Sounds awesome, thanks for the tip!
Hit me up if you need local info- we're only 1:45 from LAX...
Number one: Leave
Thanks for Watching!
am Lydia by name and i have done 26 already but love to go all thank you
Asg 🔥🔥🔥
You forgot Sequoia national park, which has the largest tree in the world. You could've taken out Venice Canals or something else.
Good point!
The canals are nice and, not to many visitors find out that some still exist. Not dismissing Sequoia by any means, it’s amazing but, it’s more common for visitors to find out about that first. Correct me if I’m wrong the largest Redwood is called General Sherman? It is massive on a scale beyond words.
@@racafritz Giant Sequoia and coastal redwoods are two related but different species of trees. Sequoia are the largest, and you are right, General Sherman is the largest of them all. Redwoods are thinner, but are the tallest.
Love your video, how about places to take children from 10 and younger.
1. Go to the Metal Concerts!
15! like the list type of video, but it will be nice if you sort by area. I saw your place is jumping from nor cal to socal it will be nice if you group by area. Keep up your good work!
That is a great suggestion, I did pretty much just jump all over the state haha.
@@californiathroughmylens I just checkout your blog! it is awesome! It has so much more information! I live in California for almost 10 years move back and forth from north to south. I wish I discover your blog sooner!
@@funnykitty123 Glad you found it! Yea, I have been writing on there for almost 7 years now. Lots of California exploring haha.
Please make videos in places to visit near Sunnyvale,Milpitas and mountain view
Thanks for the suggestion, I would love to spend more time there!
I am sad that you did not add Lassen volcanic park here
]
why didnt you put in golden state bridge
How is the music called?
So next time try cafe nouveau and Himalaya. First is a fusion restaurant (breakfast is bomb, get the beignets) and second is a fantastic Indian/Nepalese restaurant in an old Taco Bell though you’d barely be able to tell. See if you can get a table on the floor.
Sounds awesome, thanks for the suggestion!
Great list. I'm a native Californian and I've only done about a third. How about exploring Route 66 in CA?
On 66 don't forget to stop by the Donut Man in Glendora "Fresh Strawberrys". Keep on.
@@trexinvert Yes! There are A TON of things to see on R66 here www.Route66CA.org
