It's good to see Amoeba records and The Red Victorian B&B on Haight Street. In 1988, I was 17 and was going there to see the Grateful Dead from Indiana. I visited San Francisco a few months ago with my family, and our rental car was broken into 3 times during the 7 days we were there. It's so bad that the hotel manager told us to leave the hatchback up to avoid further damage. We didn't feel safe and witnessed numerous drug deals and saw untold human misery living on the sidewalks. You have been warned.
I'm an SF Native. It was foolish of you to rent a car. Lyft and Uber are the way to move about The City. No break-ins. No parking hassles. No driving in aggravating traffic. We snicker at people who rent cars for an SF vacation. Renting a car in SF is so gauche, so clueless-suburban, so deer-in-the-headlamps type thinking.
@@galaxysega3883 Yeah, the right wing media tried to drum up some propaganda. They hate liberal cities and SF is about as liberal as they get. They seem to have failed in that negative PR push though. Tourism in SF is at about 80% of pre-pandemic and is projected to surpass 2019 next year. I don't know what they were hoping for. People aren't just going to believe that the top tourist destination in the country became Detroit overnight. They'll go and check for themselves.
There are places in the video that I have visited before and know very well. Dude, I've never even been to the USA in my life. Thank you CJ and other 3 guys :’)
We go there all the time. It’s a big beautiful but dirty city. Been going there my whole life and never had any problems. We like visiting North Beach, the Mission District, Castro and SOMA. They have some of the best restaurants in California. Also, some fun dive bars. People should check out the Fillmore District and Chestnut Street. Lots of good dining there and little places for drinks.
As a Brit i visited San Francisco a month ago, and I went to most of the places in your video. I travelled with kids, and our highlights were Waymos (self-driving cars), the Exploratarium and the California Academy of Sciences. On the downside there was an obvious poverty issue, we witnessed a violent assault and drugs were ubiquitous (weed).
I enjoy the way you present your videos. It makes more interest in the places you visit. Please don't stop it. Keep it up! However, there are some things that were incorrect about SF. Little stuff.I wasn't going to corrupt much of what you said, but. ... just a couple. MARK TEWAYN "THe coldest winter I ever spent, was a summer in San Francisco. The red lines are nit for cable cars. They are for busses and taxis; although I've seen police, ambulance, and firetrucks use UT un emergency. Lyft, uber or waymo are not. At 9:57 you talk about Golden Gate Park but you show the presidio, is there botanical gardens at both parks? You also said palace of fine arts was in Golden Gate Park and it’s not
Thanks for sharing your video its nice seeing San Francisco as I’m from the UK are the streets still as hilly as seen in the Dirty Harry Films,I am a big Fan of The Ironside Series,I’d love to see Kearny Street where the Ironside Building was Filmed.
A few popular pastimes here in SF are avoiding poop on the sidewalk, telling homeless people that you don't have any change, riding bikes and other toys in the middle of the street to create unnecessary traffic, and avoiding eye contact with everyone around you.
San Francisco used to be my favorite city to visit. About 2 hours from where I live. We would take BART and just explore. Sadly it has become such a dangerous city now that we do not feel safe going. It's a shame because it is a beautiful city
I visited my daughter in Alameda and got a chance to get over to San Francisco in 2019 and I’m from Cleveland Ohio,,and I could sense the rich history, and I loved the diversity, the landscape, weather, etc ,,,just about everything, except how expensive it is for a home/apartment,but what was really shocking to me was the homeless situation, and the filth/smell,,I never saw anything like that in person in my life, and I’m from the east side, the not so good part of town, and that made downtown Cleveland look pristine
Note that Crissy Beach (not Chrissy) is in the Presidio, a national park site that is not mentioned but is pictured multiple times in this video. Definitely one of SF's best neighborhoods to explore!
Thank you for this video.. This is how I like to remember SF.. Because there is too much devastation to this beloved city..😢 What breaks my heart is the increase in robberies, and yet nothing is being done about it. There are too many car break-ins (knock on wood hasn't happened to me.) not to mention the drugs, yes every location got something like that, but again nothing is being helped or done about it. The shops on Union Square and on Market Street are totally gone. We don't have an Old Navy, Forever 21 closed, Ross is gone too, and many other big stores. & soon I heard Macy's is next. On top of all that mom and pop shops had to close down, as well as cafes: we lost our original Phill's coffee location due to expensive rent. I mean, at least Seattle got to keep their original location of Starbucks. And the good restaurants closed down. BOY! Don't get me started on that.. I just pray that 'the Grim Reaper of high rent expense' doesn't touch Tommy's Joint. leave Tommy's joint alone and be at peace to cook their delicious food. The homeless just keeps getting worse (it's not getting any better.) People who lived there for years, for their whole lives are being kicked out of their homes, due to the rent being so high to the point where it costs an arm, a leg, or their own soul.. And the people who move in are rich young people who walk their dogs and don't pick up their dog poop. Which is why, I only wear 4 pairs of work shoes, put them in a box because of the amount of dog and human poop everywhere and no one cleans it. San Francisco is slowly turning into Gotham City and something needs to be done, because the officials in San Francisco are doing something wrong.. 💔 💔 As if high officials in the San Francisco office just don't care. That is my rant. Again, thank you for this video for it gives me small hope
My husband and I are planning to visit S.F. in early October. Guess we'll see for ourselves whether some of the more negative comments here are true. I think most urban area have "shadier" areas that don't necessarily reflect the whole city. Los Angeles, for instance, where we live, definitely has beautiful spots and areas of homelessness. In any case, we'll be taking normal precautions, like leaving our car in the hotel parking structure and Uber-ing it, or walking, everywhere. BTW, I was surprised that North Beath wasn't mentioned in this video, along with City Lights Bookstore, which is iconic. And then there is Caffe Trieste coffeehouse, in the same area.
My husband and I will be visiting in November. Sadly for surgery and medical stuff. But we plan to sight see a little before hand. I'm hoping to travel safely. I heard the homeless issue is horrible, this was from our Dr directly to us but he said it was a beautiful place to visit but to be careful.
It's basically propaganda. The Conservatives think that they can convince people not to come to San Francisco. So far they have utterly failed. Tourism is basically back to normal. Stay away from the Tenderloin and you'll have a great time!
Despite the bad going on EVERYWHERE, I’d still like to visit SFO. I always use public transportation so it’s good to know there are reliable systems available. Thanks for sharing! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

If people are making negative comments it's because they know the state of this city now. It is not safe.
No, they don't. They just lie as all the Republicons do.@@juliesharp5077
@@juliesharp5077Lol, no. They're all making the same negative comment because it's a troll farm getting paid for those comments.
@@kaisers3230 Lol, you can literally see in the video that what you say is trash. Should we believe you or our lying eyes?
Love San Fransisco! This might be odd, but I had the best steak ever in San Francisco. Something that I'll always remember. Loved the video by the way! 👋❤️
Where at? I’m visiting there soon haha
SF is a great place to visit. Napa is very cool too.
Its nice to see a video that shows the good things
I have been to San Francisco many times. I just love it. Such a beautiful city. I have been to a Giants game also Alcatraz many times. Just love China Town. Had lunch at Mel's Diner many times. I don't care what anyone thinks as far as I'm concerned I just love going to San Francisco. Been to Academy of Science many times and I want to go back. They have a dinosaur 🦕 exhibit I want to see. Just love San Francisco. 😊😊 😊❤❤
Can't wait to go for my birthday
Hi, new subscriber here , is one full day enough to visit all the main spots mentioned? (Al least Alcatraz include). Btw excellent summary and explanation. Thanks !
I visited SF last week and I must say I enjoyed it a lot... I wish I had extra coupla days because there are a lot of beautiful places to visit. Hope to come back again 😊
How many days you think is good to spend is SF?
@@jeovahpimentaadv I guess 3 to 4 days is the ideal, but 6 to 7 days would be wonderful coz atleast u would be taking your time to really enjoy the great places in SF, all the best to u 😊
Lovely video! Thank you😉
Great video, wish we got more info on the Bart though😉
❤❤❤ Traveling: where the dreams becomes the destination. Loved every moment of this virtual journey! Thanks for emotions 😊
Great video, thank you! I have watched it two times, one before reading an SF travel book and one after reading the book. I feel as if I have already been there 😀 I will definitely visit SF soon. I only wonder why you didn't mention the City Hall? It is an amazing building. No video about SF shows it and I can't understand why. The area has also many theatres, opera etc. The crime problem in the neighborhood can't be the reason, or is it? Thanks again! 👏👏
Agreed. SF has become a cesspool in many areas.
Yeah.. I was questioning the video like when was it taking ? @@normandea
😢😢 not like the video here at all ?
Good for you
I'm an SF Native.
Nice video of SF! No wonder its is the #1 tourist destination in the U.S.😊 Tourist will love shopping at Union Square!😁
Ain't it meant to be a hell hole? All this doesn't add up!
Don't look like a tourist and you won't experience anything bad. @@galaxysega3883
It is no longer, and most of the stores in Union Square and along Market Street are now closed and boarded up.
You live in a fantasy world
There are places in the video that I have visited before and know very well.
Going in Feb, this was a great video clear and amazing commentary thanks my man
As a Brit i visited San Francisco a month ago, and I went to most of the places in your video. I travelled with kids, and our highlights were Waymos (self-driving cars), the Exploratarium and the California Academy of Sciences. On the downside there was an obvious poverty issue, we witnessed a violent assault and drugs were ubiquitous (weed).
So beautiful city 🌆
Not anymore , crime is very high , and dirty , stores are closing by the thousands
There are a couple of others but I will like and watch your videos because your capture is spectacular, and I enjoyed it.
What part of SF does The Birds take place?

Great overview
Great Job my friend thank you for sharing I love San Francisco 👏👏❤❤❤
where is the best place to park and get a trolley to pier 39 and fishermans wharf? I visited couple years ago and couldnt park anywhere. Didnt even get to enjoy my visit to san fran but am willing to give it another go this year
Какая же красота, мечтаю побывать, и в Америке в целом)
San Francisco is now the beautiful arm pit in America. I lived there and got out.
🇺🇸Hi lovely guys from San Francisco? I hope you are doing good in this most beatiful city I've never seen in my whole life. I used to live there years ago. I miss USA a lot.🤗🇺🇸😭😭❤

Nice footage :)
Hello dear. I had a trip with my elder brother and his family In San Francisco two weeks ago. It was so amazing trip. I enjoyed it. Greetings from UK 🇬🇧 ❤@grandmaroutines
It's the new Olympics in San Francisco 2024!🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅
What about Salesforce Park!?
It's empty😂
@@iankinsley601 Never seen it empty. It's pretty well used by the locals and commuters.
House of Nanking, swan oyster depot, pancho villa for starter bests in sf :) mainstream that everyone loves and stand the test of time!
Aww toursty stuff. Adorable. Try taking the 49 Geary. You'll have a bold introduction to SF 😅 not trying to be an a hole, it was a great video hilighting some of our great treasures!!
Greetings from newjersey, thank you
You are bringing sweaters for your summer visit, right?
San Franciscos China Town also happens to be the Largest China Town outside of China.
when showing the BART subway station...why am i looking at 14th st union square in manhattan NYC instead?
I like San Francisco it’s a best Place ever in California

@@JayDenPerry-f1y Not now it's not.
Loved frisco ❤
I visited my daughter in Alameda and got a chance to get over to San Francisco in 2019 and I’m from Cleveland Ohio,,and I could sense the rich history, and I loved the diversity, the landscape, weather, etc ,,,just about everything, except how expensive it is for a home/apartment,but what was really shocking to me was the homeless situation, and the filth/smell,,I never saw anything like that in person in my life, and I’m from the east side, the not so good part of town, and that made downtown Cleveland look pristine
Impressive video! San Francisco's charm really comes through in this 4K footage. Great job capturing the essence of the city's top attractions. 🌉🏙📷
It’s a simmering democrat dump
You can almost see the steam from the street poop 💀
I loved the way the light played off the shards of broken automotive glass as they sparkled in the sunshine.
Beautiful SF 😊
whats the weather usually like in september in san francisco cheers
IT’s pleasant in my opinion
September is gorgeous in SF.
Good sharing
Beutiful site seens
Shows the NYC Subway (MTA) when talking about the Bart Train in SF lol
Note that Crissy Beach (not Chrissy) is in the Presidio, a national park site that is not mentioned but is pictured multiple times in this video. Definitely one of SF's best neighborhoods to explore!
Thank you for this video..
This is how I like to remember SF..
Because there is too much devastation to this beloved city..😢
What breaks my heart is the increase in robberies, and yet nothing is being done about it.
The homeless just keeps getting worse (it's not getting any better.)
People who lived there for years, for their whole lives are being kicked out of their homes, due to the rent being so high to the point where it costs an arm, a leg, or their own soul.. And the people who move in are rich young people who walk their dogs and don't pick up their dog poop. Which is why,
I only wear 4 pairs of work shoes, put them in a box because of the amount of dog and human poop everywhere and no one cleans it.
San Francisco is slowly turning into Gotham City and something needs to be done, because the officials in San Francisco are doing something wrong.. 💔 💔 As if high officials in the San Francisco office just don't care.
That is my rant.
Again, thank you for this video for it gives me small hope
San Francisco going to mountains and down to the oceans to finding fish restaurants to food supplies
They are true.
It's basically propaganda. The Conservatives think that they can convince people not to come to San Francisco. So far they have utterly failed. Tourism is basically back to normal.
Stay away from the Tenderloin and you'll have a great time!
No it confirmed. It’s a dump
@@golferpro1241 Lol, who confirmed it and when? And what parallel reality do they live in?
I was there today. It’s like a ghost town. A couple tourist shops open.
I don’t know where you were but it’s even busier than ever. Stop spreading your lies.
