Love it. I can tell you are a good cook. Also the lighting is very homey. Everything reminds me of Helen Hoover's memoirs in the 1940s where she and husband went and bought a tiny house and lived in the northern woods of Minnesota back before anyone had ever heard of doing such a thing.
Thank you for watching. I will have to look I. To Helen Hoover, sounds interesting. I grew up this way, in the back woods of Alaska in the 70,s, but probably quite similar lifestyle.
Love that Angie, the place has changed alot since I was there. Love your way of life, now I want to get in my kitchen and get rid of some of this stuff,LOL Love you both, mom
Thank you, We are actually planning on changing it a bit, soon. We found some free countertops, normal size 😆. I think David might try to build some cabinets. Needing more storage space. Thank you for watching and God Bless You. Love You
A dry cabin is a home without running water. We do not have water pipes or any drainage system in the house. Completely dry except what we carry in. We can leave our cabin at any time and not have to worry about freezing water pipes.
@@tiernanwearen8096 we carry water that we get from our neighbors house. We use the utility sink in their garage, so we are getting fresh well water. We use about 10 gallons a week.

It’s very nice but I need an indoor bathroom, I ave IBS and can’t see me running out 5 times at night. A compost toilet would be a must have.
That would be a problem, we have had some close calls getting to the outhouse Lol. Thank you and thank you so much for watching. Blessings.
Adorable! New subscriber here! God bless.
Thank you so much for watching
What do you use for electric
We are on the borough grid. We have an underground power cable from a neighboring house on the property.
Can someone please explain what a dry cabin is?

@@Oursimplelife907 why not drill a well or a borehole? Is drilling a well or a borehole feasible in alaska?
@@tiernanwearen8096 yes. There is a well on the property, we choose to live without water. We choose to live a more simple life, and we love it.
1:45 INTRO WOW
I know, long intro. Still learning, there’s a lot to learn. Comments are very helpful in knowing where changes need to be made.
A bit too minimal for me! This makes my simple little mobile home seem like a palace. I count my blessings.
Ive lived with a lot and with little and I seem to be happier with less. less responsibility, less mind baggage for me. Thank you much for watching
