I am 85 years old. I find what you did and made, unbelievable. So very neat. You are so talented, along with showing your cabin off. God Bless you young man.
Thank you Dennis, I very much appreciate your comment. Hope you are well. Where are you located? I am always curious to hear where viewers are watching from.
Beautiful setting for your cabin and outbuildings. Really inovative what you've done with it. I could imagine myself standing in the middle of your stream fly fishing! Nice job young man.
New to your channel. Lovely home young man! I could move right in, and stay the remainder of my life. Your country is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. God bless you❤
Great little Cabin with a great location right next to that stream. Last year I built a little 12 x 12 A-frame out of solid wood inside and out on my remote 29 acre property bordering the national forest.
Absolutely lovely. I love that it’s remote and how clever you are especially with the hearth and how you have it set up for cooking. Your addition is lovely especially the view. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
I see you are "tooled up" well, but for 1 item, A real must I would have thought for amount of split logs you need . A log cutter and splitter all on one machine, driven by a small engine or a small tractor, you start by lifting an 8 to 10ft long log up onto the machine, the machine does all the lifting hydraulic's, choice of cutter can be a circular blade or a chainsaw bar & chain, a hydraulic ram pushes the sawn log thru splitters which can be in half, quarters and so on, up a short elevator into your log store, only work to do is stack firewood up. I would say if you set your stall out from the start like having all the wood near to hand, a years worth of firewood could be done in 2 days!! If you got your neighbour to assist, hire your self and machine to him and so on, it will soon pay for its self in no time.
Lovely cabin and obviously well thought out. All the spaces seem very functional, well built and pretty to look at, all at the same time. The stream is a huge gem for me, as I can’t imagine having a cabin without a year around water source. Thank you for sharing, you do beautiful work
That pot rack caught my attention immediately! We have an off-grid cabin in VT and I have been looking for a way to store and keep our cast iron skillets and pots! Genius
I like it a lot. The addition must make a world of difference. One of my wifes only requirements for our cabin build is that it has to have an indoor bathroom. I'd be fine with the perfectly nice outhouse you built, but she's a little fussier than I am. Thank you for sharing your build, you did a fantastic job
A very nice tour of the cabin and surroundings. I fished the length of that stream from the end of the road down to the river many, many times so I have a good idea where you are. That tea coloured water calls to me.
Beautiful Cabin...love the Rock Heat Guard you put behind the stove and your use of Rocks on top and the plumbing pipes...very creative and it just looks good....FYI...for more storage or displaying things (smaller items)...You can put 1x6 or 1x8 slabs over top of your windows and Doors the length of your windows and doors.
Wow, I'm so impressed! Love your hanging clothing storage in the loft! I love the upgrades and reasoning, butcher block countertop and stone wall for the woodburning stove are beautiful! That loft porch and being able to see fish would be amazing!
You did such a good job on all of it. The spot by the stream is beautiful too. We have had a Firman Gennie for about 5 years and have had good luck with it as well. Thanks for the tour.
Looking into your cabin, my husband has just built me a rustic look big cupboard in the bedroom for towels dovet covers anf and my craft work, and a couple of coffee tables to place our coffee and biscuits on, much nicer then IKEA things. You are also very talented, beautiful home. Linda. Enjoy your life.
You have a beautiful location there. Love the work you have done and you must really enjoy being there. I am new to the Channel - do you live there full time?
Awesome tour ! I have watched a lot of your build :) I love that deck upstairs , fresh air no bugs ! When you clean the snow off your panels take it all off, If you leave a patch it blocks the Circuit ,
first time watcher, you did very good job you build very sweet cabin, I really like how you have upstairs with more living space. that little room upstairs by stream i probably get some better seal windows and heat that room and you probably use that room more. and i love your property with that stream.
Beautiful Dennis! Jack here from South Africa. I'm in the second phase (roof on) of my build and found your video in my morning search for inspiration before building. Love to look and simplicity of the doors and kitchen cabinet. And of course the whole home. Regards from afar.
You put a lot of thought and work into your cabin and it sure paid off. Also your approach to build was put up the frame the built the things as you needed. That’s a good idea because sometimes you don’t know your needs until you are in the cabin for awhile. Thanks for sharing.
That is a most beautiful log cabin that you have built. I do hope that you have several heavy-duty fire extinguishers at the ready. Thank you for sharing.
I just joined your channel. It's a really beautiful setting there. The cabin looks sturdy and so cute. If you haven't built your bed frame yet, think about using that same black pipe you used for hanging some things on. It's sturdy, not as heavy as wood, wouldn't take up as much space and looks pretty cute as well. Nice video, I enjoyed it very much.
Well put together tour of your cabin. I enjoy seeing videos of this type and how others like yourself have utilized the space provided by the respective build. All cabins are not alike but similar minded people have different ways of using their creativity to bring out the most of what the living area can offer them. Your usage of the limited overhead room is very well thought out. Your addition was much needed considering how little living space you actually have in the first place. Here is a tip to help keep potential viewers from loosing interest and moving on to other videos, Your intro has too much content and takes too long to get to the point of your video. Not meaning the context is useless but might be more appropriate elsewhere in the presentation perhaps nearer the end of your video. Grab their attention to watch the tour, which you did, and stick to that. Then if you feel you need to add anything to the tour of your cabin you can insert it in later thereby keeping the main flow of what the viewer sees. This keeps their interest and attention. (I worked in the movie and film industry and have also made some very successful commercials in my early years.) This is just a subtle suggestion to help you get more likes and views. its delightful and wouldnt mind living there... does it ever get flooded though? I love the gallery for viewing the stream and you are so tidy and organised!
This is the 1st time I've seen your video/cabin/property. WOW! I'm looking for property in Maine to build a cabin in. My 37yo nephew was so polite when he told me I'm getting to old for this!! 😮 He's kinda right. But i still want to try. I used to live in Maine when i was in the Navy, a very long time ago. I came back to Alabama for ailing Grandparents, and my parents. Only have my Mom left now. She knows my plans. But she also knows I wouldn't dream of leaving her. Ok, now you know my life, where is your cabin? ✝️🙏❤🇺🇸
@PenniacWilderness I've talked to him about it. He doesn't have a job and hasn't worked in years. His mother, my sister told her 35yo son he can't go up there. I just laughed and laughed! She does more damage than good. I put it in the hands of the LORD! ✝️🙏❤️🇺🇲🇨🇦
Great job with everything. I got lots of inspiration from this video. Im excited to create my own similar propery and home. Great job and thank you. God bless you brother!!!
I like the Generator outlet! Where did you find that? You lumber looks so good to a Citi-idot like me. You can tell that didn't come from a box store! Oh the Ol' Dietz lantern, folks love 'em, they're crazy about them! They even have their own club, called Dietz Nuts. ha ha ha
Really enjoyed the video. Hearing the thought process behind what you’ve done makes the video that much better. My daughter did ask why you’re dressed like Elmer Fudd.
Use 4 or 8 inch diameter ABS/DWV pipe, install the piping below the flooring and bring in combustion air for the wood stove. Can even run the DWV pipe through the ground, preheating the combustion air using ground heat before entering the structure. Just need to be privy of being able to clean the inside of the piping every now and then, and use some mesh/screening over the inlet. Will not have any need for opening any windows at all with adequate combustion air. Seeing your in Canada, surprised you didn't already do this. Regardless, most just use a window, ignoring the fact of confined spaces. Cheers.. nice hunting location.

Thank you Dennis, I very much appreciate your comment. Hope you are well. Where are you located? I am always curious to hear where viewers are watching from.
I'm not far behind you, I agree 100% if I wasn't so old I could live in that cabin for ever
Great to hear this - God bless you both
That's really high compliment 😊😊😊
Very nice. If i had a place like that I'd never come out. Kings to you!!
Beautiful setting for your cabin and outbuildings. Really inovative what you've done with it. I could imagine myself standing in the middle of your stream fly fishing! Nice job young man.
Holy Smoke....what a beautiful cabin and out buildings! Thanks for the tour. Love nature & the stream. God bless...
You should be proud of how beautiful your cabin is. Great job
Big fan of dovetail notch cabins, you are a craftsman, sir!
that upper loft would be amazing for morning coffee, reading, lots of blankets !
New to your channel. Lovely home young man! I could move right in, and stay the remainder of my life. Your country is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. God bless you❤
I love this, man! I watch videos like this quite often and didn't know you had a channel until it was suggested. I think I played soccer with you.
Yes, we played soccer together for sure. Thanks for watching, nice to hear from you again!
Very clever the long pipe INDOOR ! Absolute top cabin - i love it, near the water.
I like the open shelves because you can see everything you store.
Great little Cabin with a great location right next to that stream. Last year I built a little 12 x 12 A-frame out of solid wood inside and out on my remote 29 acre property bordering the national forest.
Nice work! Where are you located?
lovely cabin. I love the loft above the water, must be nice to sleep on in summer and hear the stream, what a beautiful spot. thanks for showing it.
What a great tour! Your cabin is terrific! I’m just re-visiting up to your channel, and looking forward to catching up on all the work you’ve done!
I loved the tour!! It is a wonderful cabin!! Superb job!!
Absolutely lovely. I love that it’s remote and how clever you are especially with the hearth and how you have it set up for cooking. Your addition is lovely especially the view. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Awesome cabin with a lovely wood stove ❤❤👌👌👌👌

@@PenniacWilderness is the first thing in my mind I have to get ✔ for you to do something for a day 😩 but it is very important because

Love the way you did the interior of that addition. The dark stained trim with the natural shiplap looks good.
Great job! Very nice cabin. Wouldn't mind living there myself. Love the location.

Thanks! An indoor toilet is very possible, especially with one of the incinerating ones.
Love your cabin, and thanks for the awesome tour. You rock.
Great tour. Thank you so much for making this video!
It is relaxing listening to the stream 😊. You have done such a great job on everything you accomplished 👍. Love your cabin.
Thank you so much!
A very nice tour of the cabin and surroundings. I fished the length of that stream from the end of the road down to the river many, many times so I have a good idea where you are. That tea coloured water calls to me.
Thanks for the tour..
i presume once you build the Bath/Shower and possibly Sauna House you could incorporate a place to do laundary in it.
Brilliant build . I particularly like the upstairs "porch" area over looking the stream and views . Such a beautiful home . 💯🌟🇬🇧🙏

Great idea! And very easy to do I would imagine.
Oh yeah, L Brackets, but to keep with the theme of Plumbing pipes..even though a little more bulky, they would work as well.

lol - it is the 'in' look you can tell her ha

Thanks GP! Been watching you for years now :) Hope all is well in Upper Canada
Another great cabin tour there eh!
Thanks fir sharing
It's a beautiful and well though out cabin. 👍👍for you!!!
Love the build love the place only thing is do different is I’d put bracing across your rafters tying in the ‘A’. But that’s just personally opinion.
Thanks for the tour. It is such a nice cabin. Is a self-built structure like yours insurable?
It’s. Beautiful, lived in the UP of Michigan always wanted to. Build a cabin
Great work, enjoyed the tour!
Love the Czech scarf at 12:52 😏
Thanks! What part of the country are you from?
Howdy neighbor , why no water generator ? Try a little Water Lillie , yea ? Or an Alabama water weel . Cool cabin . Thank you
