from what i heard, they dont, but if the exhaust is too loud, they will check your whether your exhaust.... if you dont have cat and muffler , you cant pass the inspection..
this is a muffler delete...that being said there is still a cat but no muffler right...i cant see any issues and its not even obnoxiously loud so i doubt youd have a problem

I never had an a issue with it, not sure on the laws on emissions down there. Would they actually check?

Where did you get your tail lights? Or did you do them yourself?
probably did it themselves. you can get vinyl overlays for them.
i tinted them like that...tint the whole light and cut out that part
