I was fortunate enough to have witnessed two shows, one night and then the next on Maui, spring of 1998 supporting Yield album. Hands down best shows I will ever see. I am and was a huge fan, and both shows were somehow different and moving in a deeply profound way. 5,000 person venue, open air Maui Arts and Cultural Center . Never forget it
Vedder was 33 years old here and doesn't look a day over his mid twenties at most. I'd probably card him for buying alcohol based on how he looks here. I was a senior in high school when Yield came out and my parents let me go with my friends at midnight on a school night for the midnight album release. I think PJ intentionally made kind of an accessible straight forward rock album with Yield after the more experimental No Code and drop in sales. I saw PJ perform this album in it's entirety in Milwaukee when they toured in 2014. They played this and then probably another 20 songs. Have seen PJ too many times to count including PJ20 at Alpine Valley and their shows at Fenway Park in 2018. Good Times!
I was thinking Eddie was like 20 years old in this video, so I looked up what his age was and was absolutely shocked he was in his 30's. He looks too young for his voice in this video haha
