Gary's been pumping out *MASSIVE* riffs for decades... In my book he can easily keep up with other riff masters like Hetfield, Scott Ian, Mustaine, etc - ánd he's an amazing leadguitarist too! It was fantastic to see him take over from his friend Jeff H in Slayer when it was needed (and ultimately inevitable unfortunately), but I'll always be even more impressed by his work with Exodus.
It's funny all of the greatest guitarists have a hard time playing in front of small crowds, I remember watching Eddie Van Halen at a guitar clinic back in the 90's, he was so nervous he literally couldn't play I felt hella bad for him. Here's the greatest guitarist that ever lived and his nerves are making this experience terrible for him. Meanwhile they don't realize we are so pumped just to be in front of these legends that they could never play a good note and we would love every second. Gary is an outstanding guitarist/musician, I love everything he's been a part of. Killer fucking guitar player!

Kerry always wanted them to sound like souls screaming in hell with his atonal wah sound. Jeff was more proficient in writing catchy rhythm sections, killer riffs, but Kerry is no slouch musically. People give him shit cause apparently it's cool to, like bagging out Lars for his drumming. 🙄
