I got the gaming pavilion and added another 8gb ram chip and a 1tb hdd to go with the already installed ssd and I must say this pc is handling pretty much any game I throw at it. With ultra high demanding games I just adjust the settings down a tad(not much at all) and the run smooth as can be. 60fps or higher. 😉💜🌈👍✊😛

Thank you for very informative video. Just one remark about loudness, 9:28 you're saying that Predator is 1/3 louder than HP (43 dB vs 60 dB). Decibel scale is logarithmic and not linear. Easy to calculate estimation says each +3dB is double as loud. 43 dB is relatively quiet, while 60 dB is loud as a normal conversation. That said, if the figures are correct, HP is astonishingly quiet for the performance it has.

I'm buying the Pavilion . i have the 2018 Helios and it's good with the i78750h and 1050ti. But it's also hard to find a good balance of way too bright or way too dull. And it's like Acer just forgets about older models all together as there hasn't been a single update for a year. Where as my older Pavilion constantly had bios updates etc etc. And the Helios is so noisy while playing it's hard to not hear it while even wearing headphones. The Pavilion is throttled down but the quietest noise levels and coolest temps i have ever heard of . Plus here it's a good 400 bucks cheaper. Hmm 1700 plus tax vs 1350 plus tax - 50 bucks coupon code. And quieter i'll take the Pavilion

@@TechFinds Good comparison by the way !!! Had a HP desktop years ago when there big draw was a tv card / media ctr as the big draw . Paid like 3,000 in the 90's for that. Media Centre wouldn't record 3 months in and got so sick of HP techs telling me things i already knew to check .
I swore i'd never buy Hp Again . Fast forward a few brands of laptops like Acer / Asus / Lenovo later . Saw a Hp Pavilion with a Ryzen processor and vega card. With other decent components.
Remembering how my 1st experience was with Hp so i hesitated . But surprisingly for the price was a nice laptop and my 1st back lit keyboard . Now i have the 17" Helios and if not for the 8750H wouldn't of bought a Intel . Since Intel just kind of rode on their success, and cranked out the same old same old rehashed chips. Wasn't till Ryzen got them actually trying again they improved.
Anyway knew about the Omen for awhile and just stumbled on the Pavilion gaming Laptop . And for the price from Hp itself , and your video as much as i would want the latest Predator the 17" is just too much . Don't think i'd enjoy a 15" anymore.
And the 17.3's seem to not suffer as much screen bleed. And the Pavilion is right at that threshold i'm willing to pay for a laptop. i'll most likely only want a couple of years before wanting something newer . Thanks for the video , i want quiet as trying to play a game in a coffee shop or whatever. Is annoying to anyone nearby ha ha

Pavilion doesn't have fan control but fans of course speed up when it gets hot. In my case it had also cpu power limit so the temperatures were good. If u see that the laptop is overheating you can use Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste. You can also undervolt the CPU but only when it doesn't have limited CPU power. For i5 and i7 45W is default but my i7 had 30W limit.

    May i ask something ? I wanna ask what should i get for my new laptop, acer Triton 300 (i5 9300h + gtx1650) or hp pavillion gaming 15 (i7 9750h + gtx1650) ? Please help me, i'm so confused

Pavilion has better CPU, so it should be slightly faster. I didn't test Triton 300 tho. I'd recommend buying a laptop with GTX 1660Ti instead if you can find something in your price range. Maybe Asus TUF FX505 with AMD CPU and Nvidia GTX 1660TI or MSI GL65.
