I don't think lesserafim will loose their popularity because whey they are down they bring up with good music and lots of tiktok challenges to make it trending and hit and make them stand again in the industry
In 2024 le sserafim enter Billboard Hot 100 with 2 songs. Their popularity grow in US, Europe, and Japan but in South Korea, their popularity slightly decrease because Min Hee Jin attacked. This start of 2025, Le sserafim was highest streaming of kpop songs in Spotify in several days. This the biggest music market in the world to less: 1. US, 2. Japan, 3. UK, 4. Germany, 5. China, 6. France, 7. South Korea. Ye, South Korea only 7th but mainstream South Korea media and award show mostly look at South Korea popularity. Thats why AESPA won many "daesang" or grand award but never enter Billboard Hot 100.
tbh i think I've is more focused on Korean fans cause many of their fans are kids and teens they are making this kind of music and concept and the reaction of the Korean fans has been really positive many Koreans fans are actually saying that starship "finally got a grip" and are praising this kind of concept this was just a pre release at least wait for the album and title track to drop......
K-pop trand. this is a Every girls group destiny. They are like itzy. Itzy is most successful for 2-3 years but after that they are flop. New jeans, ive and other 4th gen girls group is now going downhill and 5th gen girls are going to dominating this year .
As long as Starship Keeps the Identity of IVE’s Concept, I think it’s safe to say that they need to step it up in the Discography and serve Diverse Sounds. - Eleven and Love Dive were Expensive and we loved it - AfterLike and I AM were also expensive, but had more of the Soft Side of Elegance rather than Krush, and were also revived very well - Baddie May have garner mixed reactions, but it had new and diverse Sounds with a Krush Title Track, Two Engaging yet Soft Elegant Additional Title Tracks, and their well performing B-Side (Holy Moly) Giving Us that Tropical, Expensive Vibe - Heya also got mixed reactions, but went to a More Traditional Style with a Diverse Track List, making the whole thing a Musical Experience. Rebel Heart for sure is playing it too Safe in my Opinion, but I think the rest of the Track list will Solidify my opinion. At the moment, my opinion is that it is catchy, but that doesn’t mean it’s good; it’s very Generic and Kind of Boring, but the members serve, so it’s easily overlooked. This may not seem like it does any harm on a Stage Performance Level, but I think these companies forget that they are operating in a MUSIC👏INDUSTRY👏. More attention needs to be given to tracks, cuz if not then ppl will skip or listen to it once and not even add it to a playlist. We need Engaging music that is good for the Mall, The Radio, and Parties.
IVE are not losing their touch they are known for trying different concepts. All IVE songs are known to be unique and you get it after a few more listens. Everyone has different music taste so I wouldn’t say it’s a flop it’s a pre release.
@@Lady_bugg9316I think they are doing what hey did with either way and Baddie Releasing on title track as a single before the ep and the other title track with the ep I think the one that's gonna come out at the same time as the ep will do much better that rebel hearts
The reason is simply because the song is too safe. Its like "kitch" which is not bad song but just not comparable to their other single. Plus the song itself is kind of repeatitive. I believe they will bounceback tho.
She does that a lot in newjeans video she puts illit and itzy dancing and I don’t think there is anything behind it she replied once saying she does that just to keep the aesthetic of the video good and different
IVE is my absolute favorite and I like this song, so I admit I'm biased. I wouldn't call 12mm views in less a week a flop, though. Supernova Love 8.9mm in over two months. flopped big time. It deserved to, i.m.o. It disgusted me that Starship let my favorite group come out with that. The fifth generation is here, and IVE needs better material than Supernova Love to stay relevant. To me, Rebel Heart is REALLY good. I'm hoping for something GREAT with the coming title track.
First of all rebell heats is not the official title track as far as I know and it was released as a single not alongside the ep so that could be a reason for the rather poor performance on the chart Also a reason for the decline might be that last year ive only released one korean ep and that's it, and that was early in 2024 not even in the middle of the year, but 2024 was a huge year for other ggs like aespa and le sserafim and even rookie ggs, also a lot of things happened last year that just made ive be forgotten by the masses And Heya was good but not good enough to be remembered for a whole year of no releases and it also didn't really leave an impact compared to other gg releases Another reason imo is that when groups have a lot of publicity, even bad ones, it helps the group with relevancy and sales that's why despite so much hate that le sserafim got, their sales and numbers were still insane, and ive was a controversial group since their debut however I have barely seen any hate of negativity towards I've or wonyoung since early 2024 and that might also be a reason for the low numbers (compared to previous releases) But at the end of the day this Unstablity is normal for girl groups and we even saw itzy go from the biggest gg in 4th gen to flopping, and also this is just a single and we have to wait for the ep and it's tittle track to judge their chart performances
hey xiwang do you mind talking about TOP in Squid Game 2 and your opinion on it? I kinda want to know what you feel about ppl still hating on him after years after his scandal🙂
Its always hit or miss since day 1 of kpop. The idols remain talented, and tbh there are tons of talented idols, but song wise which is the core of kpop, its a gamble. im on the side that ive latest song is a miss as it isnt for me. It tries to relate to specific group too much, and while the melody is fine, the lyric is so forced. It lacks of cohesiveness. In my playlist of ive song, theres nothing yet from them top catchiness of eleven or kitsch.
Rebel heart gives the vibe of twice songs. Ive songs start with slow verse then it chorus, bridge part with loud or speedy lyrics. This whole song is speedy. Doesn't give ive vibe. Mostly twice can execute this type of song very well. Anyways each group does an experiment. maybe they wants to try something different.
The song was mid, I wasn't a fan of the lyrics. I don;t understand how we moved from Heya and Accendio to this. Rebel Heart could've been better it's the cringey English lyrics for me. Another thing is that Ive is known for being unpredictable with their comebacks so people were expecting something more which is understandable.

Hmm and aespa deserve it 👏
I feel like starship saw how successful “I am” was and tried the replay button. Because I’m being brutally honest they sound identical.

I don’t think they’re flopping though.. they’re doing pretty well..
People just dont like different concepts😭
They're boring
BTS did almost all genre of music. They are the biggest. Le sserafim always change their concept and gain popularity in US, Japan, and Europe.

I like the concept and the song but it isn’t SOTY I’m so excited for the fulll album though

The song sounds like a watered down I AM
I like the other members got shine but maybe they need a subunit minus leeseo
Who cares. Let them do what they do. Don't listen to toxic fans.
Rebel heart is fine. It probably shouldnt have been a pre-release, but people are being overdramatic about this song.
