So from what I've gathered in this video.. 1. Get your personal colour analysis done 2. Find out what animal face you have to determine what makeup suits you 3. Skincare 4. Knowing how to dress well 5. Take lots of pictures of yourself often But as other users have already commented, let's not forget that the money she earns as an influencer also helps with the cosmetic treatments, surgical procedures etc. I hope collectively we can raise some more awareness about this online as there are a lot of determining factors that go into this. I'd say most of what she already mentions is what you'll hear about 100 times from any other person online but I do think the colour analysis is a fairly unique one. (I'm not flying all the way to korea to get that done though lol)
In fact, they were talking between the lines, but it is very important to understand what * eyebrows and eyebrow shape suit you (my appearance changed a lot when I decided to reduce my eyebrows and lighten them). *Also important to look at your facial features and what proportions your face has (for example, the lower part may be longer or the upper part, you need to work with makeup, apply a sculptor to reduce or, on the contrary, visually lengthen parts of the face . *also decide which haircut format suits you best and whether it suits you with or without bangs. (alas, this may not be enough for everyone, because it still happens, for example, that you can’t do without plastic surgery, but these points can also be added) (I used a translator)
She pretty much says in the very beginning this is just tips to glow up without having to spend too much or for those who have already spent a lot. She's not pretending she didn't spend money or did more than what was listed. This video was clearly targeted torwards those who don't have the same reaources.
I love you and you’re gorgeous (before and after), but I’m hoping you mention that a large majority of what got you your “after” look is plastic surgery and other various cosmetic procedures. Because framing it as being being achievable through less drastic means such as lifestyle changes, skincare, makeup and style changes, diet, etc… would be a little disingenuous🥲🖤
@interialisms A lot of people were complaining on her 8K glowup video, for example. There are comments like "Promoting plastic surgery every two business days is... a choice".
This video is super informative. I understand a lot of people are upset that this video doesn't mention her cosmetic procedures much, but her cosmetic procedures are not even drastic. Knowing your colors, the right makeup along with application technique, good self care, and dressing properly really does make a difference.
even a single millimeter shift in features is actually drastic, especially if you realize the brain is super advanced at recognizing these subtle differences.
I don't like this whole "let's pretend PS doesn't exist" thing on youtube. Yes, improving my haircare, skincare, makeup, diet, sleep and exercise routine helped me feel better about myself. But I had a clear, striking glow up after researching cosmetic procedures and finding a very good surgeon. Makeup will never replicate my nose job, lip lift, botox, filler and temporal lift. Promising people they will achieve this with just a little bit of money and very easily is disingenuous and sets up false expectations. Changing your face costs a lot of money, comes with a risk of needing revisions and can mess you up mentally when you have irregular swelling for months as you wait to heal. It's not easy or simple. It's expensive. Buying a million beauty products won't make you look like Wonyoung. Getting regular, costly cosmetic treatments might get you closer. Not even Wonyoung would look like Wonyoung if all she did was follow a few quick tips on skincare and makeup and took 50 selfies a day. Please let's be transparent or not do this at all in the first place. Trying to fit an impossible standard because someone told you you can do it with minimal investment and effort is bound to cause frustration and disappointment. Treating severe acne or losing a lot of weight will naturally make someone glow up. But she was stunning before and stunning after. For people who are already starting out with a "good base", the only relevant giveaway from this is getting regular botox which was ironically only mentioned as a little 5 second side note.
Jooshica mentioned that she has undergone several surgeries. She has created many vlogs detailing her surgical experiences. In this video, she specifically reveals that she has Botox in her lip area and forehead. It seems some of those who responded to your comment don't know who Jooshica is.
@realJeimseu I'm not saying she is hiding the fact that she had work done. I'm referring to her quite literally saying: "If you finish this video, you will be able to glow up like Ms. Jooshica right there". This is disingenuous and misleading. You won't achieve her results by following the tips in this video. That's my entire point.
I don’t mean to be rude but be transparent, the main reason for ur glow up is plastic surgery knowing ur personal color and dressing well won’t change too much
It helps looking presentable and the best out of whatever you can change at the moment but you're right, if we're talking about the content creator she did a lot of surgery to look so different.
I've watch so many videos from different influences in order to glow up and honestly none of them was as helpful as this video . THANK YOU SOOO MUCH JOOSHICA
Her makeup game really did help a lot though :o but would love a video on skincare procedures/fillers/plastic surgeries if you're open on it too ☺️ everyone has different aesthetic needs but it'd be nice to know what options. Sometimes like weight loss also results in facial volume loss/ blemishes from healing acne etc.
I tried to leave some advice on what channels to watch to get that information, but it keeps getting removed. Try plasma treatments. Dr. Rjani talks about them in great detail.
guys please dont blindly follow the beauty standards, they change every two weeks and are fake, it shouldnt be your problem whether you fit in or nah. and dont blindly follow this video and others, its illusion, you are beautiful right now, just find that confidence inside yourself and delete all social media, hope it helps, take care
I feel like they're generic tips though, the personal colour thing doesn't actually work for everyone because there are very minute differences - the celeb lookalike tip has been around for years, I feel like you could get these tips in literally any glow-up video
As an acne prone skin girly oil cleansing is sometimes not the best thing because there are also fungal acne so the better it’s to have a anti fungal skincare regimen because it’s more secure

So true. For me it was my ID shoot that made me try to change. I wondered who that old lady was who lacked energy. Could you drop what brushes/eyelash curler do you use ? basic western and asian curlers are way too curvy to my eyes #pain Thank you so muchhh ❤
Love the tips, but let's not forget most kpop idols have gone thro surgery to achieve the looks they have now. And I feel like you don't exactly need clear skin to stand out, coming from someone who suffers with acne and is treating it, treatment can cost a lot (I'm not saying you shouldn't treat it, it's still a skin inflamation and do what you can to make it better!) And it causes frustration on people. Plus, most of those things requires money, so let's also not forget that part.
It’s best to look like your best healthy self not to try to match looking like someone else when ppl are suppose to be individuals not clones. I am sorry you didn’t find the previous you as pretty because you look like a completely different person after ps and I’m sure you knew/ expected that different look. This is what happens when you don’t know you’re fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image oml I remember younger me feeling so not pretty and then learning over the years how to manage all the healthiness of your best unique natural self!
Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Like no hate to Jooshica, she's amazing and talented, but talking about glow up, she did had her face done. But still I'm sure her make-up and skincare tips maybe quite helpful for us
For those who believe this video is misleading... I definitely agree that plastic surgery is not very affordable so her saying "you'll glow up like me if you follow on these 5 affordable hacks!" is unrealistic and can be misinterpreted. Her glow up isn't particularly the best example for just these tips and no added plastic surgery/botox. However, I think it was meant to be taken as "with these basic tips, I was able to improve my looks (to a certain extent), so you will be able to as well!" maybe not the same level of change, but still a change nonetheless. Also, I think the point of the video was that these things that Jooshica mentioned can help drastically in a glow up, not that they'll make you look like any celebrity that you want to look like. Like I agree that a person probably wouldn't have an insane glow up without some other factors but a person can still have a glow up while keeping their facial features and not necessarily having the "prefect" jaw or "perfect" lips or "perfect" nose. Everyone has a different face so it's not about looking like a celebrity, it's about leveling your own visuals up and finding similarities with people who have similar features to you so that you can use them as a guide (and a celebrity that you share base features with is an easy example of that). "Glowing up" is not the same as "looking like your ideal beautiful person." Glowing up may not result in you looking like your perfect self, but it results in a boost in your visuals and confidence (often from the point of view of others). Plastic surgery on the other hand, does help you achieve those ideal visuals. I'd say that plastic surgery is just a separate thing all together; glowing up is becoming prettier while keeping your natural features and plastic surgery is for (often becoming prettier by) changing certain facial features. And yes, everyone is beautiful and there is no need to have any insecurities because you haven't had a glow up or don't look as pretty as Jooshica (or other people) but if a person wants to look prettier, don't advise them against it. Like yeah, I'm grateful for my looks now but if I'm able to improve my looks more, why would I purposely CHOOSE not to? (There might be a valid reason against it, idk) And let me reiterate that Jooshica isn't trying to tell you to look a certain way because you're ugly; even through she does comment about her own former looks, it doesn't directly correlate to you being the same way she was, it's all subjective. If someone thinks they're ugly, then that's what they think and if they want a glow up, then they can work for it. But everyone's entitled to their own opinions and I'm not saying "YOU"RE WRONG, I'M RIGHT" but I'm just giving suggestions and am open to a debate. :)
I think the issue here is her not not mentioning plastic surgery but the fact her before photos are from her before drastic plastic surgery which implies loosely that you can change so drastically with simple tips of skin care makeup and color analysis. If she had just used post PS photos as the before instead of bating people in with pre PS photos I wouldn’t have an issue that this video is just about small little tips to help normal people (who do not want or have funds for PS)
Yes she's had plastic surgery but the tips are pretty good, so don't expect to look like that pretty but I think this'll help u glowup at whatever scale nonetheless, just find what's good for your skin, find what you like and I'm sure we're all gonna glowup
Thank u so much actually I’ve done a lot of those thinks that u said n i knew them before but u remind me thank so much now I look completely different than before even my friends told me 😅
I just made a comment explaining why this is disingenuous so I'm glad to see I'm not the only one thinking this. It's not cheap or easy and the lack of transparency is an issue.
You got this, beautiful. I'm sure everything will go excellent for you. Don't stress too much about it either. I wish you good luck, but I know you won't need it 🫶🏻
So from what I've gathered in this video..
