  • This is the Deuces Food Forest, created by Ramona Brayboy in the Deuces of South St. Pete. Ramona says, “Through this Food Forest we seek to end our dependence on the grocery store by growing our own food and building up our community.” There is a powerful movement of revitalization taking place here in The Deuces and I am humbled and honored to get to play a very small role in this. Let’s build up this food forest together!

Congratulations, wishing you all a plentiful harvest. I wish I lived near there, but I live in a desert and food doesn't grow well here, it's just too hot.

Imagine if every neighborhood had a community food forest/community garden instead of normal parks. Like sure you can have recreation parks. But, things like this should be everywhere. A mix of the two (making parks for recreation more native plant species friendly instead of random trees and stupid grass.)
