A Band that I can admit saved my life.
Coming home from the atrocities of humankind, to an emptiness of "home".
The Black Crowes kept me going...

thanks man for the service time
'Hard To Handle' is not only another Black Crows' song but it is originally an Otis Redding song. I would love for y'all to react to both versions of this song.
Check out the Dead's version too!
They did react to it a few months ago,Seems they forgot 😆
They reacted to "Hard to Handle" back in August ua-cam.com/video/S1eK3m9pLuo/v-deo.html
Other than Twice As Hard, that first album don't live up to the few that followed...
@@jonlate4581 Don’t forget “She Talks To Angels”
So many more to choose from. "Jealous Again", "Twice as Hard", "Sting Me", and "Thorn in My Pride" are all bangers.
Oh yes I almost forgot about Thorn in My Pride....awesome song!!!
In fact you all should definitely have a listen to thorn in my pride
YES! Thorn in my pride is awesome, and Sting me is my favorite of the lot. What a great album that was!
Thorn In My Pride, YES! Amber would love the words and there are keyboards for Jay.
Sting Me is fire
Fun fact: Chris Robinson (vocalist of The Black Crowes) was married to actress Kate Hudson for 7 years
The great music runs deep with the Black Crowes….DEEEEEEEEP!!!
Chris Robinson is a younger version of Mick Jagger in the way he moves
With a touch of Rod Stewart and Steven Tyler thrown in for good measure.
I could see that.
The irony of that comment though.....
It's what started Chris on his downfall.
The entire “Southern Harmony…” album is brilliant artistically, and brilliantly produced. So glad to find y’all reacting to this!
AMEN!
You two have the best reaction show of all the ones out there I like to start
Sat. And sun. Mornings by listening to
Black crows. Weekday mornings with
Boston. Heading into town in the
Evenings - roundabout by yes
Try it
The call and response between Chris and the backup singers is fire.
Facts
Yes, southern rock at it's finest 😉
The Black Crowes are such an underrated band…so many awesome songs🤘🏼
And Chris Robinson today has an all time awesome beard🧔🏽♂️
"Seeing Things" is one of their best!
One of my all time favorite songs. All time!
His name is Chris Robinson. His brother Rich on that red Gibson (lead guitar). They're from Georgia and their sound is enriched with southern blues, folk, funk, jazz and 70s rock. I've seen them live, such a great show. Chris has that bluesy rasp to his voice.
Crows always made me feel like I was goin to church. Not formal day Sunday church, but southern testify, fanin yourself sweatin, dancin in the isles, feelin the spirit take hold of ya church … can I get a hallelujah with a side of Amen 🙏😜🙏
They had such a refreshing sound, when they came on the scene. Much needed at the time.
And it was somehow retro and new all at the same time
The lead singers name is Chris Robinson and his brother Rich is the blond guitarist in the velvet suit standing near the backup singers. Being from Georgia myself, I've seen these guys all over metro Atlanta in the late 80's up to their breakthrough in the 90's. I don't have a "favorite" Black Crowes song because I love them all but Sometimes Salvation is a must.
Definitely
That’s their Come To Jesus song 😃. It’s always been my fav. I’ve seen them 5 times over the years so glad they are back together 😎❤️🙂
Don’t they hate each other now or is it another band I’m thinking of?
@@confucius12012 I just watched a Behind the Music Doc on the band and it seems they've made amends. But yes, at one time they hated each other and it was evident even on stage during shows.
Black Crowes.... Southern Rock needed them.
Gotta check out their cover of Otis Redding's "Hard to Handle", or "Jealous Again"
They reacted to "Hard to Handle" back in August ua-cam.com/video/S1eK3m9pLuo/v-deo.html
Probably the 10th time I’ve watched this reaction because I love Amber’s reaction!! I love The Black Crowes!!❤️❤️
Favorite band of all time!! Love seeing the Crowes reactions anytime, any day!
I've loved you two for a long time. I'm blown away by her reaction to this songs. And yours! It's such a Rock Lullaby!
The Crowes were a breath of fresh air coming out if the Eighties in which we had to endure New.Wave and hair bands. They were a ramped up Rolling Stones and The Faces.
When I am having a bad day I come back and watch this. The song, the video and Amber's smile is perfect.
The whole Shake Your Money Maker album is filled with awesome tunes. Twice As Hard, Jealous Again, Could I've Been So Blind, Seeing Things, Hard to Handle and so on.
They reacted to "Hard to Handle" back in August ua-cam.com/video/S1eK3m9pLuo/v-deo.html
My son gave me tickets to see the Black Crowes as a father's day gift me and my son had the best time
Just so guys know, my day is not complete without you....thank you for sharing your journey with us. Being almost 50, next month, most of the music you are discovering I grew up with.
Now you can do "Hard To Handle" their breakout hit. Nice reaction guys.
already done. ua-cam.com/video/S1eK3m9pLuo/v-deo.html
@@chriso6719 thanks for the link. Gonna watch it next.
Hard to Handle is an Otis Redding cover…both versions are very good.
@@bluegrasskids52784 agreed!
Black Crowes is one of my favorite bands!! They ROCK.
He looks a lot like me dancing around my living room!!! I absolutely love Black Crowes!!
First concert 6 years old, The Stone Pony. Thank you parents.
Their album , Amorica was one of my favourite albums of the 90’s . Still listen to it regularly 🏴
Great band and great song some other great tunes of theirs:
Hard to Handle
Twice as Hard
Jelous Again
Nonfiction
Wiser Time
Descending
Sting Me
Only a Fool
My Morning Song - for sure, one of their best - But, they have so many great songs, and albums - quietly forgotten about in the 90s, with all the grunge invasion, buy they have always stayed true to their Atlanta GA southern soul rock roots !
Thank you for showing Descending some love. One of the best and nobody ever talks about it

peaceful piano 🎹

Chris being Chris on stage is just a beautiful thing. I saw them in concert.....and it was....a situation;)
Rob With all due respect Amber has a smile that would stop a war. Angelic
She's gorgeous period and her personality fits your a blessed man Rob
The lead singer has another band *Chris Robinson Brotherhood* that plays more of a 'hippie' style. I'd recommend *Let It Fall.* Think you might like it! Robinson definitely looks much more like a hippie now than he did when in the video you just watched; he's 30 years older (long hair and graying beard). Still a cutie pie though.
You introduced, Too Hard To Handle to Amber already and she loved it. Please react to Sometimes Salvation & Thorn In My Pride, Seeing Things...so many great songs, you two will love them even more. I've seen them 13 times and never miss them live.
Love it when Amber starts to dig a song!!!
One of the best things about watching your videos is the joy you have in discovering new music. For me, it gives me a renewed in so many bands and songs. Keep up the great work!
This total album is amazing. It seems that every song gets better and better. This song is one of first few songs on the record if that tells you anything.
The man that mastered that "Growl scream" had to be Joe Crocker, check out the song "When the night comes" ... keep rocking folks!
Uh, James Brown? He was doing that in his King Records days. And there are several blues guys who did it before that.
I've known the crows since the beginning. Here in germany i interrupted my vacation to see them live. In this concert they handed joints to the audience, it was really funny.
This is my FAVORITE Black Crows videos!
The Black Crowes are a heck of a band. There is a song of theirs called "Sometimes Salvation" that i used to listen to over and over, I would leave it looping when i fell asleep at night. Needless to say, I hope you will react to "SOMETIMES SALVATION" by the BLACK CROWES. All their songs are great, others I hope you do are "JEALOUS AGAIN" and "TWICE AS HARD".
You can definitely hear the Rolling Stones influence in this song (aka "ITS ONLY ROCK 'N ROLL ). This is one damn fine band. Clearly shows the level of talent just oozing all over the screen from the band members and the lead singer 🤪 sounds great and that kid has more moves than a chicken full of EX LAX!!! A+++BAND!!
Guys I love this channel look forward to it every day , I'm 56 years old and saw a lot of these bands I also love the way you get into the music that ruled the 80s , keep up the goog work rock on 😈😈😈😈
Thorn In My Pride, Hotel Illness, Wiser Time are BANGERS!
I always felt his style was a mix of Robert Plant and Mick Jagger.
Rod meets Jagger more.
I’d say more Jagger and Tyler of Aerosmith
Go listen to The Faces (Rod Stewart's band before he went solo)
Now you guys should try “Seeing Things.” You will love the vibes. Amber also should hear “Hard to Handle!”
Man seein things is one hell of a tune, and sister luck
Both of them reacted to Hard to Handle already.
@@chriso6719 missed that. Thanks for the heads up.
Both great song but also highly recommend "Sister Luck" and also a lot of great tunes on the Three Charms and One Snake album.
ua-cam.com/video/S1eK3m9pLuo/v-deo.html
Ace and Black Crowes...double whammy today! Thanks so much
What makes this track so good for me is the course rough and ready drive of the main instruments and vocals, backed up by the super smooth soul singers. A killer combination.
When this album first came out many of us thought we had a new Rolling Stones band… unfortunately drug use and in fighting between band members lead to them breaking up after only a few albums. Chris Robinson (lead singer) is an amazing frontman and the band is back together again.
I knew she would love this one!! Saw them back in the early 90s and they were tossing joints into the crowd! 😂 I doubt they got away with that for too long, lol. They are one of my favorite bands to this day.
Today in many Cities that would be legal today. Well legal for 21 and older
@@trentbresler3179 not trying to be a Debbie Downwr, but even in states like my state where it’s legal, it’d still be illegal to throw joints out to a crowd.
@@Wrangzilla I was about to agree with him, then saw your comment. Yeah, I guess it would be impossible for only adults to catch them! Also, only a few states has it legal for recreational use and the majority of the audience probably don't have a pharmacy card! If I remember right, they went to jail after several concerts on that 1st big tour. Their popularity certainly went up though! ✌❤
@@Wrangzilla Its legal for 21+ in some states so it would be like throwing out plastic bottles of alcohol. So why frowned upon I don't think you would get in to much trouble.
I could listen to Chris Robinson sing anything!! Love the Black Crowes👍
This just reminds me of being absolutely wasted dancing to this 30 years ago? Someone would come over and ask to dance with you... miss it all..
If you loved Black Crows you’ll enjoy Tesla “love song”, “the way it is”, “what you give”
It's almost impossible not to like something about this band, so southern, so groovy and soulful
love the song. the backround singers turn this excellent song into a GREAT song
The Crows were on Jimmy Fallon last night they've got a new album out it's titled Happiness Bastards Chris Robinson is still dancing around
Good to hear a variety as this group wasn’t in my repertoire. Try ‘Frankenstein’ by Edgar winter.
Their entire 2nd album is incredible ... Sometimes Salvation is my personal absolute favorite
Saw them at their first performance at The Greek - it rained out! Saw their performance at The Greek in April. They owned it! From an Okie expat to you two - love your channel!
She Talks To Angels and Thorn In My Pride are my two favorite Black Crowes songs.
Lead singer's name is Chris Robinson. And his brother , Rich is on guitar.
Now we are talking. Got the Prius? The Crows got “The Remedy”
A GREAT B-side from the Shake Your Money Maker album is "Seeing Things". They slow it down and take it to the blues. It's SO damn good!
Jealous Again is a must by them! They were a fun live band!
Singer is Chris Robinson and the guy wearing the red suit, playing the red guitar is his brother, Rich. They got their start in and around Atlanta, GA. Great band live too, as I saw them in Smyrna, TN opening for my main man, Lenny Kravitz! :-)
This is one especially for your beautiful girl Amber, and two times is always better than one for this song, love this band and I was lucky enough to see them on their first tour playing the same show as Heart, how awesome is that, lol💞
A couple weeks ago...I started putting a quarter (25 cents) in a jar, every time Amber gets "thumped" in the head by those headphones. Looks like I will be able to put a new roof on the house by Spring. You guys rock! Fellow Okie.
They are the definition of retro. Like I said in the Lenny Kravitz video, the 90's was huge with 70's retro vibes. Music, clothes, hair, attitudes.
Oh my goodness! The Black Crowes live… it was the best live show I’ve ever seen! ❤
Black Crowes loved the music of Joe Cocker, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Peter Frampton. I know you've done reactions to the first 3, but you need to hear Peter Frampton - please start with "Do You Feel Like We Do" and you'll want more - "Show Me The Way", "Baby I Love Your Way" - all from his legendary 1973 album "Frampton Comes Alive". ✌️ The talk box he uses will blow your mind!
Absolutely love this song. you have to hear black Crowes(Jealous Again). The lead singer‘s name is Chris Robinson he’s amazing. Love seeing Amber‘s reaction😀👍❤️✌️🌼
Chris is the American Mick Jagger on stage
@@bbb462cid He was just 30 years late to the party.🥂❤️✌️
Lead singer Chris Robinson was married to actress Kate Hudson for a couple of years. His brother Rich Robinson is the lead guitarist of the band. I would recommend Thorn in My Pride or Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye if you want their soulful, bluesy side
Proud to be a Georgia Boy myself, just as the Black Crowes are...
Jammin' In The South ✌️
Southern Rock...
Seeing things, twice as hard, hard to handle, and definitely try a live performance. They’re great live
"WISER TIME" is a forgotten and amazing song. Earlier music with a big southern soulful feel.
Absolutely, a great one.
Seeing things for the first time is a great song. Every song from the album shake your money maker is amazing. Lead singer Chris Robinson who was married to Kate Hudson is amazing.
Any song from that album is a tune you can’t go wrong with.
People have mentioned so many of their amazing songs. "Descending" is a must-listen.
Chris Robinson's biggest influence is Steve Marriott of the band Humble Pie particularly the song "I Don't Need No Doctor:"
A classic.
Please give us some Humble Pie reactions "30 Days in the Hole," "As Safe as Yesterday," "Shine On," "Fool for a Pretty Face."
Got to see them opening for ZZ Top right after releasing their first album. Blown away!
One of THE funnest songs to play on the drums!
This is for Amber because your heart will understand it Great gig in the sky by Pink Floyd
Oh, Chris is still a living cartoon character lol There's a lot more sass where that came from! Twice As Hard, Jealous Again, Hard To Handle, but I HIGHLY suggest "Seeing Things".
Primal Scream - “Rocks” or “Jailbird”. Great songs in a similar vein.
How about "Country Girl" by Primal Scream?
Amber's smile says it all! Peace & Love
I feel that they pattered themselves after The Faces (Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, etc…) One if the first supergroups. Well done , by the way!!!
They're incredible live.
Rather smoky💨 atmosphere full of love, soul, & sound 😏
Some FEMALE FRIDAY 90’s Suggestions
Hole - “Celebrity Skin”
Garbage - “Special”
Sheryl Crow - “If It Makes You Happy”
Natalie Merchant - “Carnival
I would add to the list
Til Tuesday
The song "voices carry" live 3/26/1986 live at the Ritz.
I glad you who are younger watching the music I listened to and liking it I'm 55 and still love listening to the music and try to get behind some of the newer people playing music like Liliac 🎸
I would 100% recommend hitting up "Thorn in my Pride" and "Wiser Time" as well as "Good Friday" for future Black Crowes deep dives.
His name is Chris Robinson. He used to be married to Kate Hudson.
And on the subject of Kate’s Ex Husbands you should listen to Muse “Time Is Running Out”
Love these guys.
If you like southern rock, give Blackberry Smoke a try.
HELL YEAH! "Sunrise in TEXAS"! 🇨🇱🔥💯😁❤✌
@@tomaleshire4145 or any other song they do. They're one of my favorite bands. Incredible live too!
They are such a great band! I was fortunate to see them in concert in the 90’s and it was my favorite show I’ve ever been to! Other than the massive headache I got from everyone smoking around me! 😂🥴
Saw them twice. Opened for Aerosmith in Cincinnati. Opened for ZZ Top on their first show of their “Budweiser Tour” in the 90’s. Got kicked off the tour b/c these talented Robinson brothers only have one tiny splinter. They can’t stop smoking weed in “private” (No such place with camera phones) I LOVE THEM!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Listen to Descending by the Black Crowes next please. :)
Such a beautiful song !
It's time for some more Black Crowes, "Jealous Again"
You'll love it.
Jordan well done to share this one with your lady!!!!
Amber, that smile is all sunshine 🌞 💗
Hey, Hey, Blessings of the day...Fun group and song...Ya made me smile...Thanks so much, Peace
The drummer of this group had a talk show on fox sports radio. His name is Steve Gorman. It needed a few years ago. It was on at night
Seeing things for the first time....mix of gospel, blues is a fantastic song
Black Crows is a band from early 90's, but the way they dress they remind me more of a band from 70's. and the singers name is Chris Robinson
