Coming home from the atrocities of humankind, to an emptiness of "home".

The lead singer has another band *Chris Robinson Brotherhood* that plays more of a 'hippie' style. I'd recommend *Let It Fall.* Think you might like it! I got to see them live for the first time this fall. I was so afraid that they might not be as good as they were here but BOY was that not a problem. They were just as energetic and soulful and as fabulous as ever. I'm about 2 hours from Atlanta, and they got HEAVY airplay here because they were regional -- so I've enjoyed them for 30+ years now.

Chris Robinson's biggest influence is Steve Marriott of the band Humble Pie particularly the song "I Don't Need No Doctor:"
    A classic.

Thank you both so much for reacting to my all time favorite Black Crowes song! They say everything comes from somewhere, and that's true of music. If you want to see where they got a LOT of their inspiration, check out the live version of "Stay with me" by the Faces. If it weren't for the Faces, the Black Crowes never would have existed, or at least they wouldn't have sounded like they did.
