His name is Chris Robinson. His brother Rich on that red Gibson (lead guitar). They're from Georgia and their sound is enriched with southern blues, folk, funk, jazz and 70s rock. I've seen them live, such a great show. Chris has that bluesy rasp to his voice.

Being from Georgia myself, I've seen these guys all over metro Atlanta in the late 80's up to their breakthrough in the 90's. The whole Shake Your Money Maker album is filled with awesome tunes. Twice As Hard, Jealous Again, Could I've Been So Blind, Seeing Things, Hard to Handle and so on.
What makes this track so good for me is the course rough and ready drive of the main instruments and vocals, backed up by the super smooth soul singers. A killer combination.
The lead singer has another band *Chris Robinson Brotherhood* that plays more of a 'hippie' style. I'd recommend *Let It Fall.* Think you might like it! Robinson definitely looks much more like a hippie now than he did when in the video you just watched; he's 30 years older (long hair and graying beard). Still a cutie pie though.
You introduced, Too Hard To Handle to Amber already and she loved it. Please react to Sometimes Salvation & Thorn In My Pride, Seeing Things...so many great songs, you two will love them even more. I've seen them 13 times and never miss them live.
This total album is amazing. It seems that every song gets better and better. This song is one of first few songs on the record if that tells you anything.

The Black Crowes are a heck of a band. There is a song of theirs called "Sometimes Salvation" that i used to listen to over and over, I would leave it looping when i fell asleep at night. Needless to say, I hope you will react to "SOMETIMES SALVATION" by the BLACK CROWES. All their songs are great, others I hope you do are "JEALOUS AGAIN" and "TWICE AS HARD".
When this album first came out many of us thought we had a new Rolling Stones band… unfortunately drug use and in fighting between band members lead to them breaking up after only a few albums. Chris Robinson (lead singer) is an amazing frontman and the band is back together again.
They are touring again. Just saw them 2 weeks ago. They are still rocking it out and he is not still for 1 minute. I am 68 and I had to rock it out with them, so much fun. They were one of my favorite bands in the olden days

I'm a child of the 70's and when these guys came on the scene I was an instant fan. They have such a great sound and energy. They chose their background singers well, personally I found the young lady in the black button down dress so alluring, sexy moves and a sultry performance. Great band! Great reaction video!!
I got to see them live for the first time this fall. I was so afraid that they might not be as good as they were here but BOY was that not a problem. They were just as energetic and soulful and as fabulous as ever. I'm about 2 hours from Atlanta, and they got HEAVY airplay here because they were regional -- so I've enjoyed them for 30+ years now.

I've known the crows since the beginning. Here in germany i interrupted my vacation to see them live. In this concert they handed joints to the audience, it was really funny.

If you want to see where they got a LOT of their inspiration, check out the live version of "Stay with me" by the Faces. If it weren't for the Faces, the Black Crowes never would have existed, or at least they wouldn't have sounded like they did.
