She talks to angels and hard to handle are amazing too
Seeing things
The entire Shake Your Money Maker album is awesome. "Twice As Hard" and "Hard To Handle" are the ones that really cook though.
Facts also a newer crowes tune is the last place that love lived.
@@mattdemo7173 Hard to Handle, great tune originally from the late Otis Redding. RIP, gone too young.
‘She talks to Angels’. is beautiful. I noticed everyone was bringing up this song too. 🔥
This entire album is a Masterpiece!! “Southern harmony and musical companion”✌️✌️✌️
Seriously Southern Harmony is bananas!!
Facts.
Black Crowes. “Sometimes Salvation” & “She talks to angels”. 2 great tunes by them.
Yes sometimes salvation is a very good song
No one ever does "Sometimes Salvation" and it's arguably the best thing they ever did.
@@robertsmale yeh, that's one of the angriest, most intense solos ever. The guitar tones in general on that song are so well done.
sometimes salvation and descending are my favorite crowe songs!
This group has many good tunes.
Twice as hard
Jealous again
She talks to Angels
Thorn in my pride.
Wiser Time, Seeing Things, Descending, Good morning Captain, Good Friday, Blackberry, Girl From a Pawnshop. These guys are amazing!
Ahhh Thorn in My Pride. One of my favs from them! All great choices!
Lex's cake and knife example was brilliant. Pretty much sums up how a good solo fits into a song 👏👏👏
That should be taught and added on to the theory of the "5 levels of improve" Level 6 cuts that like a cake!
I am a big fan of Black Crowes. I love many of their songs but my all time favorite is "Seeing things for the first time". Yall might like it also.
I’ve seen 100’s of bands live. These guys are easily in my top 10 performers. Incredible!
Absolutely in my top ten live bands too.
I saw them for this tour & they were amazing. Absolutely amazing
This was a well made cake that had a nice sharp knife to slice it perfectly. Lex is so great with her analogies, which included relaxing, like drinking a coke, and being very "dry" at the end. always fun. Hopefully more Black Crowes to come, many great songs as you will see in the comments.
Love Lex's descriptions.
The complete album, The Southern and Musical Companion, is a fantastic vibe. It's lit.
desert island album
@@jefferyparker4277 Definitely-One of my top 50 Albums of all time!
It’s their absolute masterpiece imho....
You guys should react to…
The Black Crowes - She Talks To Angels
🎸🤘
From their " southern harmony and musical companion " album. In my opinion, their best.
I listen to that album at least once a month. 🎸🤘
The 3 albums with Marc Ford are all winners for me. This one is the best tho
Robinson has such a soulful voice. Love me some Crowes!!
Black crowes was different thing from the 90’s that make them stand out
Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes, Live at the Greek. Zep songs sung by Chris Robinson, with Jimmy on guitar. Lex should dig it.
That is what you call a banger, I remember when they first came and their was no one like them.I had the privilege of seeing them on their first tour opening up for Heart, awesome show
My favorite Black Crows song: "Seeing Things For The First Time", from their debut album (Shake Your Money Maker).
It's a slow blues song with some fantastic singing by Chris Robinson.
Why isn't this a great place to start? Hope they explore more of the Southern Harmony & Musical companion album. The shake your money maker work gets total overkill compared to this album here, which is a shame.
Thats my favorite song by them only because I could never get bored with it. Their collects is definitely something I hope to see them delve in to.
Lex has a genuine gift for truly arresting metaphors when describing her reactions to songs. She's better at it than a lot of highly regarded music hacks I could name. Great team you two 👍🏽
Right? It always blows me away. Especially how much they make sense even though they are the craziest shit I have ever heard
Black Crowes are a true Rock n Roll band. So many songs to give a try. Here’s a few recommendations- sometimes salvation-cursed Diamond-horsehead-seeing things-girl from a pawnshop-bad luck blue eyes-
That cake bit was brilliant!
"Soul Singing" is their best song, closely followed by 'Twice as Hard"
"Sometimes Salvation"
and the entire By your Side album haha .. start to finish its in my top 5 ever for complete albums
Love the original video for this. A young Chris Robinson dancing his little skinny ass all over.
I like his other band Chris Robinson Brotherhood even more than the Black Crowes.
Blues and funk. Such a great combination.
That album was a whole vibe.
Shake your money maker was awesome front to back, full stop.
Im not sure they have made a bad album
FINALLY! The southern rock stream not having any was a travesty! "Thorn in My Pride" is my favorite.
Saw them at Red Rocks CO in 2005 or 06. Best show I've ever seen. Drive-by Truckers opened up and the crowes started as the sunset in the mountains. Beautiful.
Such a great band and a good representation for the great state of Georgia, where I live. They got started in Atlanta. The singer and lead guitarist/songwriter are brothers, Chris and Rich Robinson, respectively…
She talks to Angels 💕
Such a great song by a freakin awesome band!!!!
I remember before they got popular I saw them at a bar in Ft Lauderdale. My friend was in a band back then and played before they came on. We ended up hanging out with them afterwards, really nice guys. They were really incredible performers.
You guys are the first ones to hit the Black Crows of all the reactors I watch. Thank you thank you. That's why you are the best.
Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution is an awesome song by the Black Crows.
DESCENDING< THORN IN MY PRIDE< BLACKBERRY< NO SPEAK, NO SLAVE< SOMETIMES SALVATION< MY MORNING SONG< STING ME all great songs. That solo was by Marc Ford, probably their best guitar slinger in the bands 30 some year history.
Lex I love your vibe!! So positive and even when yoe find it hard to explain things, I totally get the way you mean things because it's all in your feels!!
Awesome tune. I think you would enjoy the video, nothing weird just them performing the song but they have swagger.
Sometimes Salvation
Thorn in My Pride
She Talks to Angels
Three of the best songs ever.
Lex, I love that sharp knife analogy. That solo is killer. It's perfectly in its place. This tune is a stone cold classic.
Southern Rock at it's best
When they sing that part about wanting some remedy it reminds me of The Waltons. There were two old sisters who had what their father called the remedy. Every one knew it was moonshine. Except them. They just knew everyone felt better from drinking it. And you didn't tell them what it really was.
Anytime I ever have a bad day all I have to do is watch one or two of your videos and Lex makes me smile so much it's crazy.
one of the best bands that came out of the 90's. the robinson brothers were screwed up but they knew how to convert their madness into incredible music. kampai!
You guys *NEED* To Hear "Bad Luck Blue Eyes" and "Sometimes Salvation". Not tunes that got alot of Radio Play, but are just *Amazing* songs!
I completely concur with this.
Yes please
Chill is not bored. It can be but usually it's associated with happiness. lol
I love these guys. I saw them live in Memphis, TN at a blues festival when I was stationed there in 1991. Their live sound is exactly how they sound on their albums.
You guys should check out Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye. Probably my favorite song from them.
For what is ailing me.
Not for what is having me.
Hard to believe this is nearly 30 years old. Cn remember loving this song in 1992-MTV used to play it all the time.
Steve Gorman is amazing, every single song has such a danceable groove to it
This was a pleasant surprise on the live stream! Black Crowes are the best 90s blues rock band and have so many quality tracks to react to. Two other great (and more modern) blues rock bands worth checking out are The Black Keys and Alabama Shakes. Talk about getting the feels wow
Lex got that stank face! “She talks to Angels” & “Seeing Things” are 🔥
Yesss!! These guys have a lot of great tunes. Love me some Black Crowes.
Hard to Handle is a crowd pleaser. Great horns. Great vocals too. BTW you guys Rock! Thank you for being an oasis in the stressful day. You provide relief. Keep Rockin’
Watch the official video so you can see how much energy this band has! They're amazing.
Can’t describe what a disservice you did to yourselves by not watching the video. I’m a person who never wants people to watch the videos but this video you just gotta see…the dude just absolutely crushes it in red velvet pants and no shoes. It’s such a liberating video to watch you’ll feel so much freer and happier. After watching it …you’re guaranteed to dance.
Definitely have to listen to "Wiser Time" and "She Talks to Angels". I have been trying to push for them bc I know u would like them but my spam fingers got tired.
'Hard to Handle' 'Jealous Again' and 'Soul Singing' are musts. Plenty of great songs but this is a hard rock band and these songs stand out.
Black Crowes are awesome. Bluesy and funky Southern rock. They have some really great slower songs too. Favorites are
Hard to Handle
Twice as Hard
Jealous Again
She Talks to Angels
Seeing Things for The First Time
Both of you kill me 🤣 I hope you guys never change!!!!
"She Talks To Angels" by them is really, really good IMO.
Hard to Handle, Seeing Things for the First Time, She Talks to Angels... all great songs
Brad & Lex you should react to…Cortez the Killer By Neil Young & Crazy Horse
One of the greatest mysteries is why lyric videos have the lyrics screwed up. How hard is it to look up the lyrics and put them on a video. lol
Every time!
Such a pet peeve!!
It was like they never heard the song.
They're not even hard to understand. It's usually the most obvious lyric that's screwed up
Oh man....I wish you guys would have reacted to the actual music video. These guys are meant to be watched as well as heard. It's unforgettable.
"Sister Luck," definitely!!!
I just watched this reaction again two years later and I really wish that I could smash like button again!
Actually I really Liked Lex's Sharp Knife Plastic Knife analogy makes perfect sense to me
Freaking GREAT band, y'all!
You'll LOVE these songs:
🌟"Seeing Things"
🌟 "Twice As Hard"
🌟 "She Talk To Angels"
🌟 "Hard To Handle"
🌟 "Jealous Again"
Lex... you are seriously brilliant. You should be a writer. You have an amazing knack for finding/creating the absolute perfect analogies to describe things.
Lol...Lexi is so awesome when she uses her explanations..The cake slice was the shit...
Introducing my favorite band from what I call the modern era... I grew up listening to 70s and 80s nothing worth a darn was good in the 90s till the Black Crows came into my life.
Tons of great songs by them mentioned here like Bad Luck Blue Eyes and Sometimes Salvation. But my favorite by them might be My Morning Song
I strongly recommend seeing the Crowes live. Their shows are so much fun!
Love your videos you balance each other perfectly I think you both would enjoy a Beatles song Taxman great message and great guitar riff and solo keep putting out the videos thoroughly enjoying them
That knife analogy was perfect. The best way to critique a solo I've ever heard. Better than any so called critic has expressed.
The Black Crowes are incredible... and even better live.
Lipstick pickups on mr. Robinsons guitar gets that sound. Soooooo good. Wow Brad almost grinned!!!!
Great band worthy of their own live stream, the entire southern Harmony and musical companion album is amazing also "gone" "wiser time" "p 25 London" please do more 🙏🎶🤘👍
She gets it 😂 one of if not my favorite band ever! Great stuff
More Black Crowes "My Morning Song", "Wiser Time", and "Sometimes Salvation"
Not many votes for Wiser Time, but it's also one of my favorites!
@@JC-tq8gm it's a fan favorite. I think it's their most played song live
Absolute and utter total GREATNESS!
Thorn in my pride ( live from crowology) my morning song and a conspiracy studio versions all great songs imo. Great content loving your selections.
You know the analogies will be good when Lex crawls up high on the couch, challenging the song to be what she is hoping for.
She talks to angels a must!!
Look how the song lifts off when the two sisters come in.
This is My Favorite Black Crows song .
"She Talks to Angels" is amazing!
The guy playing the guitar solo is Marc Ford who also has done some excellent solo stuff since he left the Crowes
I just saw these guys a couple months ago in Massachusetts. Chris Robinson sang his ass off and the band was awesome.
Fantastic song!! Yeah!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Lex's knife through cake metaphor describing the guitar solo is memorable. I agree with Brad, the tune is 'chill'. Glad y'all found _The Crowes_
LOL Lex never fails to put a smile on my face. Think she is going to enjoy the rest of the Black Crowes catalog. You guys are great I could sit and play songs all day for you guys and be completely content. Great stuff guys do more Black Crowes, check out She Talks to Angels by the Crowes.
The lead singer pours his soul into every song. I used to play their song "Jealous Again" in a rock band a few years ago. You guys should react to it. Love your channel.
Amazing band. Cursed Diamond, A Conspiracy, Thorn In My Pride....they have lots of great tunes.
Great song! Best thing they've done IMHO.
Got to watch the video of this!!
She Talks to Angels is the BEST!
Just saw them live last month in NJ & Chris & company have not lost a step in all these many years! They sounded amazing & this is one band you must see perform live if you wanna get the entire "Black Crowes Experience!" It's like a church revival where everyone's stoned?
Black crowes are so legit. So many good songs!
They have a bunch of songs you'll like ,,,,thorn in my pride, seeing things, descending, cursed diamond, she talks to angels have fun and keep rocking my friends
Great song.
Gotta say, loving Lex's analogies more & more..
