I remember seeing these guys back in like 2010 play some rickety wooden stage in a dusty horse racetrack in southeast Texas and they absolutely killed it. Despite the modest location and complete lack of pyrotechnics or screens or any other visual aids, they played the hell out of their whole set. Easily one of the best 5 concerts I've ever attended in my life and I've seen a ton of bands, from mostly unknown to legendary play everywhere from fairs to stadiums.

The songs “sometimes salvation” and “Bad luck blue eyes” are like going to church. Check that song out. The album “southern harmony and music companion” deserves to be in the list of “must have” albums.

You guys are rad. I hadn't listened to this album in years. There's really not one bad song on it. In 1992 when this came out, so did The Chronic, Ice Cube's first record....So many badass records that changed the landscape. This Crowe's album is largely forgotten. Thank's for bringing it back!!

Lead vocalist - Chris Robinson, Atlanta Georgia...
The line is: 'I need a remedy for what is ailin' me'... A lost love story... Seen them many times in different sized venues. Always great live. Their best shows are in 3000 seat venues... Think The Fillmore in Detroit, or Massey Hall Toronto.

I've seen them in the smaller venues...old movie halls, 2,000 to 4,000 seaters...those were great shows! I've seen them at the amphitheater too! That was the year they got kicked off the ZZ Top Tour for dissing the sponsors...allegedly. It doesn't matter where they play...they always bring it! I would love to hear your react to "Wiser Time" from the Amorica release. It's a pretty special tune.

Back in the 90’s I had a next door neighbor that I had nothing in common with but the love of music. When one of us played our music loud, we didn’t call the cops. We knock on each other’s door and ask what are you playing. Sometimes we would dub cassettes for each other. This is one she dubbed for me.

All the songs being suggested here are freaking great songs to be sure but I could take y’all down the rabbit hole and suggest some deeper cuts that are just as great! One thing that is really cool about this band is they have their sound and if you’re a fan, you recognize them immediately but every album has sounded different and had a different vibe than the one that came before it.

The Black Crows and Lenny Kravitz saved Rock and Roll in the 90's for me. Both were around in the 80's also, for me they were both saviors of "REAL" rock and roll during that time. The 80's brought too much production and there was a massive overuse of the synthesizer. This tune is Rock and Roll personified. Just my opinion but I also lived through it.
