This is for the first period videos. I got my period when I was 10 at school and didn't know what it was.l went to the bathroom to go pee and when I wiped, the tissue was full of bleed and I screamed at the top of my lungs because I thought I was dying, luckily a girl was in the next stall and she asked me what happened and I told her I was dying cuz there's blood in the tissue, she laughed a little then came to help me told me what it was and she gave me a pad told me how to use it and then she went to her locker and gave me her back up shorts cuz my were staind I didn't even realized, after I cleaned my self up she helped me to my class and we've been best friends even since

@Emily Deem no, but only do it if you're going swimming and literally cannot use a tampon because your flow isnt heavy enough because that's the reason I had to. I've only done it twice now, when there's water involved. If my flow was heavy enough and I needed one for a water activity I'd try again.

My first time using a tampon I was just like summer is coming up and I'm not going to let my period ruin swimming and my summer activities. So I tried it and I actually prefer it now on heavy days .

I didn't know you where supposed to insert a tampon while on your period (BC my school literally didn't teach us anything 🙄) so the first couple times I tried them out I inserted them dry and I hurt as you might expect. I'm just glad I came across your channel a year or so ago otherwise I would have been so lost 😂😂

A few weeks ago i had to put my first tampon in bc i was going swimming with my friend while i was on my period. I was stressing abt the tampon and if it falls out or if it would hurt. I watched some of ur period vids abt tampons and they helped me SOOO MUCH. You said to put it in at an angle and i did. It didnt even hurt a little. And i did it just like u said and i couldnt feel it at all while it was in. THANK YOU SO MUCH SHARON IDK WHAT I WOULDVE DONE WITHOUT YOU!!!!!🥰

You should do period horror stories on staying over friends/family houses, taking a test at school, at work period stories, hotel period stories or using a mensural cup or disk horror stories. Hope this helps!
Here is my story!! I started in the first day of 5th grade. We were in gym and I felt terrible and we had to change and my friend pointed out to me that there was blood on my jeans so I told my teacher and had to go to the nurse and I went home!!!

I was halfway across the country for an academic competition. When I randomly get my period. We were in Florida, so we were going to swim in our free time. My mom did not come with me
And I did not have any tampons. However, my roommate's stepmom was there, and I told her what was up and she went and bought me a box of Tampons. The worst part is I had never used one before. I surprised when you didn't have any issues. Girls, please read the directions on the box !
Okay as a member of the late bloomer squad, I know that for me it wasn't wanting my period to fit in with friends, it was more so that I knew I was healthy and would be able to have kids. Everyone told me I was fine but I was still terrified. (I got my period first period a couple months before I turned 17)

One thing I’ve learned about periods is to never wear white pants! EVER!
My period started once when I was still in school and I didn’t have pads or anything like that on me and I didn’t have a jacket to wrap around my waiste either. I was so embarassed to where I had to true to use my back pack to hide the blood so no one else would see until my grandma arrived . My family normally wouldn’t just pull me out of school like this unless if it was for a serious emergency like this then yeah they will pick me up or try to bring me new underwear at least.

Maybe something you could do is like a day in the life of Sharon or testing more period products or like testing food hacks or testing period hacks :)

Okay my thing is, how do I know my flow? Like I don’t go around looking at other people’s bloody pads to compare how much blood I have next to everyone else’s. honestly just start with using the lightest (flow) pads and tampons, and if you bleed through, try the next size up, and so on till you find the right type for u :) good luck!
use your definition bc you have a different flow from everyone else. what's heavy for you might be light for someone else. if there's more blood, maybe it's a heavier day. if there's less, it's lighter
Mmm i think like soaking a normal regular pad in less than 2 hours is heavy, soaking one in 4-5 hours is probably normal flow and not soaking one in over 6 hours is light

I've never used a tampon before. I watched a video on how to put one in. Now I'm a little bit more comfortable with it.
When I hear these I think how lucky I was not to be afraid of them. My mom bought them for me on my first period but told me not to use them. I went behind her back and wore one on a walk. It was fine! I've worn them plenty of times since and much prefer them.

Here is the first time using a tampon period horror story of my best female friend forever(I am a male):
Once upon a time, she tried using an ultra ultra large tampon and super absorbent tampon on the first day of her period. She cut the string off (no, and shoved it in there. After literally 4 hours she was in such pain, and she couldn't remove it. She was in the bathroom for ages, trying to remove the tampon. I was concerned (she told me about what was happening), so I went to get one of my female friends to ask for advice. The other female friend was talking to the poor girl that was suffering through the bathroom stalls. Long story short, she could not get it out after a week passed because she had a super light period. She had to go to the ER to get it out. To this day, we are still BFFs and we always joke about it.

I’ll never use a tampon because ima forget, and even with an alarm I might be like “oh I’ll do it later” and then bam: I take it out past the time I’m supposed to.
Also I don’t trust myself putting anything up there, so I’ll stick to pads 😁
when people are like "i wish i had my period" i tell them the story about how i passed out in music because of it and have to take 1g of paracetamol (im 13 btw) because of the cramps. and then theyre like "i dont want it anymore"
btw 1g is a lot for medicine especially for young people

Today I was going to the pool with a couple of my friends and one of the mom's was going to bring us. I went home to get ready and I totally forgot that I was on my period. I had never used a tampon and asked my mom for help because I was scared. Meanwhile my friends just went to the pool and I told them I would come later. I literally laid on the floor while my mom put the tampon inside of me. It kept hurting though so we kept taking breaks. I eventually pushed it in after an hour. I went to the pool, told my friends I was late because we thought our dog was sick, and then went home a couple hours later. It didn't bug me at all while we at the pool but I was still relieved to take it out. It started really hurting again when I was taking it out so I asked my mom for help again because I kept hesitating. After laying on the floor for another hour, my mom got it out. So basically I went through two hours of pain down there just to go to the pool with my friends. You're welcome guys 😃🔫 But thank you mom, you were actually very helpful.

I started using tampons two years ago, and I never will go back (I use them until I can't put it up there because by the end of my period, I become drier and I don't want to hurt myself)
Tampons were my LIFESAVER. I had a period for 5 months straight and bled through a super plus tampon in a matter of minutes, but it still made it so much more manageable and it was so much more comfortable. I’m on the pill now thank god which means I’ve not had one in nearly a year but tampons were honestly a godsend for me

I don’t know if people know this but when your on your period you don’t bleed if you are in water like if you are bleeding and go into a pool it stops unit you get out. Hope this helps!
