Because there's like absolutely no build-up towards the final boss, he's just there, suddenly we got to fight him. He is one of the more famous entry of "Giant space flea from nowhere" trope. The remake at least made the events more connected

I saw some things: 3:00 That SV001 doesn't have a real porpuse there, and breaks level continuity For Stone turtle, it would be good to have a reason to move around it, i mean, to have a more dynamic battle. About Ptolemaios, i think he has much HP, his battle was a bit larger than i thought. also his stones falls too fast, maybe give a larger time bewteen each stone would be better, and definitely it will be good to reset the timer when you change to the Final Boss. Anyway, i know most of these come for game limitations, but guess something can be made.

En mi opinion se necesita mucho mas para arreglar este juego carente de vehículos, mira que poner al slug gunner en el logo del juego para que solo te lo den en 2 misiones y te lo quiten antes de entrar al jefe es un chiste bastante malo, c necesitan mas misiones, vehiculos, enemigos y darte un puto vehículo para luchar con los jefes tal como se hacia en los metal slug del 1 al X
La verdad, si bien el slug ayuda a evadir ataques contra el jefe final, también te resta el margen de daño que puedes causar. Es más sencillo jugarle sin usarlo, ya que evadir las esferas de energía no es tan complicado cuando entiendes como funcionan

Update: From the footage i saw on the playthough of this by Topeng, not only the Turtle and the leader are added, but also unused areas and enemy rearragements in some missions. Though it needs some work (specially the transition to the Mission 4 boss, a bug when you defeat one of the elephants in the last mission, more attacks for the leader and the time reset when you approach the final boss), i can safetly say that they are doing the best they could to restore it to its original intent.
Good run of the game. You still died due to a Time Out. So that counts. Yes I saw the description and yes it still counts. If it didn't count, then you would have had all your points from the rescues, which you didn't.

I didn't know that Metal Slug 5 was rushed, with this ROM hack, the scrapped content is now in this game! Now it looks more challenging and fun at the same time! Ptolemaios transforming into The Avatar of Evil makes more sense than just summoning it from the Cultist's worshipping. Now I wish that SNK would remake all the Metal Slug games again with the scrapped content they hidden from us for so many years.

Esto es más como un Remaster con un parche encima para los jefazos... Me gusta obviamente que haya mas Gameplay, con eso podremos jugar más, más jefes, más disparos, más diversión, obvio.... Pero NO CAMBIO por nada del mundo, la Forma en la que se nos presenta al Último jefe, ya que hay suspenso en el ambiente, unos rayos, acercamiento brutal, para un juego de este tipo y luego sí, la música de la batalla, muy épico la verdad... In my opinion. Metal slug peaked at 3. Went downhill hard, on 4. But went back up in metal slug 5 and 6. 7, and onwards...Went downhill again. Since it's been in mostly shit gecha games.
I'm happy with the MS Anthology, but as a Metal Slug fan, I now know it is an incomplete anthology :P I'll have to pick this up next time I get on my laptop.

Esto es más como un Remaster con un parche encima para los jefazos...
Me gusta obviamente que haya mas Gameplay, con eso podremos jugar más, más jefes, más disparos, más diversión, obvio....
Pero NO CAMBIO por nada del mundo, la Forma en la que se nos presenta al Último jefe, ya que hay suspenso en el ambiente, unos rayos, acercamiento brutal, para un juego de este tipo y luego sí, la música de la batalla, muy épico la verdad... En este juego, pasamos directamente al último jefe sin vaselina :v

Dang, watched this after your playthrough of MS3. Difficulty, enemy themeing, level progression and quality of spritework really took a nosedive. Has the series peaked or does it get any better from here?
I know I'm late but most of the metal slug community agrees that metal slug peaked at 3 and went downhill from there.
@@iamthehype3684 I don't know about the MS community, but 4 is my favorite. I also feel like the final mission of 3 could've been split into two separate missions. It's a pain with limited lives on the Xbox port.
In my opinion. Metal slug peaked at 3. Went downhill hard, on 4. But went back up in metal slug 5 and 6. 7, and onwards...Went downhill again.
Since it's been in mostly shit gecha games.

I think the developer forgot to reset the time and cause player to die even if they collected all the prisoners
I'm happy with the MS Anthology, but as a Metal Slug fan, I now know it is an incomplete anthology :P I'll have to pick this up next time I get on my laptop.
