Fluorescent tube lights emit UV light which causes the fading. Replacement LED tube lights emit little to no UV light. Some LEDs that emit too much blue can possibly damage artwork over the long term.
Any recommendations on how to display a collection without long-term UV damage?
And always be careful too with the Heat that the Led emits, there are specific led lights for that
I would literally drool walking through there. As a Gen X kid - my childhood was literally behind glass cabinets. Great vid Rick!
My wife & I went to this place on our honeymoon & took our kids their 13 years later this past summer. Both times were so much fun. This place is even more massive than the video shows. Basically 3 buildings of toys. It's amazing.

Your son is absolutely hilarious. Such an awesome little kid. We should do a trade Tuesday series where people send you stuff and you send him something in return and you do a video of what you're sending them and what they've sent you. It would be pretty cool. Good way to get some unique pieces for the store while getting rid of some things you found along your travels that you think other people would like.
Crash test dummies!! I loved them!

Looked like such a good time Rick!! Your kid is learning all the important values one needs to know in this life! I mean C’mon, he knows VHS! Well done!😊
You've got the cutest kid Rick. Keep spreading the retro toy love! It's good to know he will carry the torch.
Rick's Dad sounding just like Editor Riff warms my soul. We truly live in a small world.

That, was a real treat. We have a museum like that here, it's like 1/100 of what your museum looks like 🤣So much cool stuff. Imagine that thing closing down and doing a sell out 🤩Those crash dummies are really cool, I played with those as a kid, absolutely loved those ❤This was so much fun to watch, enjoyed this immensely.

3:46 hahah Riff’s little edit. 😆 Riff is the best! I’m so glad I discovered both of your channels! I know, I’m extremely late to the party, and I don’t know how I didn’t know about you guys sooner, since I’m subbed to a ton of retro gaming channels and people in your circle. Better late than never! And now I have years worth of videos to binge on, so I guess there’s a silver lining to being late. Anyway, you all rule!!! And this toy museum is unbelievable bro.
Rick and team, my family and I have been watching your videos for about a year now. Insanely entertaining, and your videos have pushed me to restart my old vintage video game/toy collection and I want to say thank you. Especially after a long day at work, we all love to unwind while watching your content. Keep up the absolutely incredible work! Like every time.
Wow that turtle Glove unlocked a memory from the archives. I had that as a kid as well. I believe mine was Mikey. Wow haven't thought of it in ages.
Thanks fam!!👆👆 For all your wonderful comments install telegram and text me got a package for you 🎁🎮🎮🎮
I had torpedo run when I was a kid. Probably my favorite board game I had growing up. Had forbidden bridge as well. Both great games

Loved ALF as a kid. Watching this brought back good memories.

Awesome museum,I could spend a whole day in there for sure!!
Cool place. I think your dad was loving that place he was having some nostalgia moments too
That place is amazing! I loved alf as a kid. I wore an Alf sweatshirt on my school picture day in 1988 lol. And all that motu stuff as well! ♥
I live in Missouri and I have seen that place before.
i cant say that enough, the editing is just perfection :)
My little brother had the turtle baseball glove too. haha

That was 1970’s Mego Batman. Mego recently relaunched-probably the number one Toy line in the 70’s until Star Wars.

Thank you so much for taking us through the museum with you. Made my Monday! Your son is so cute. The wife and I were cracking up at his "This isn't good" lol!
Retro Rick I HAD that Robo Fan when I was a kid!! I saw it when I was about 7 years old in 1989 at a Kmart and begged my dad to get it! My gma actually bought it for me and that was my fan I kept on every night when I went to bed until I was probably 13 lol. It's eyes also glowed red of you turned on the button! That's soooo awesome you found this! I'd love to find one and have it again 😄
Coolest Dads EVER! And a brilliant, Transformer kid! Thank you for the amazing tour!
The most awesome part of this video is the fact three generations of men are hanging out at the local toy museum! That is premium lore for your grandkids!
The Ring Raiders hit hard for me.

I remember the western sizzler. Spent a lot of summer vacations growing up in Branson. It’s changed so much in the last 30 years!
Used to go there a lot as a kid (I grew up in and graduated from high school in Branson) back when this was Western Sizzlin' #2. :) It's so weird going in there now and remembering it as a restaurant. Cool place for sure!
The Dolls, "I will eat your soul!!!!" awesome.
Daaaamn. That place is INCREDIBLE.
Dad son and son just awesome to see,,,,,,,,This was a fun one to watch
LOVED IT! By and large one of my favorite videos of yours... and I've watched A LOT! Anyway, thanks for taking us along for your tour of the toy museum! 🤖🦕⚾🕹🧸
I had that train set and I got it for Christmas.
Thanks fam!!👆👆 For all your wonderful comments install telegram and text me got a package for you 🎁🎮🎮🎮
After stopping by your store it's not hard to believe you get this excited over toy's.
The big and tasty came out in the early 2000’s, it had leaf lettuce and tomato. It was made to compete with a Whopper from BK. They phased them out in the early 2010’s. For a while it was also on the $1 menu

What a cool toy museum! I'm glad I have control to only collect 70s - 80s Ataris and handheld electronic/mechanical games or else I would need a bigger house and a 2nd mortgage. As a Gen X, I'm sharing my childhood memories with my Gen Alpha son (I started late being a dad) and one day he'll get all the items I have on my YT channel, lol..... or at least that's what he tells his friends. Good stuff here!
Man those yoyo's bring me back I used to be absolutely obsessed and was so proud of my bumblebee yoyo took it everywhere with me
I went through a yoyo faze too! i picked up a replacement Duncan butterfly recently it sucks they must have changed out the internals because it doesn't sleep like it used too!
Awesome Store! He should have the price tags on them.

The Worlds Largest Toy Museum And The Generations Of Retro Rick’s Family Awesome
that train across the ceiling struck a memory of a local restaurant I use to go to called the SageBrush that had a similar one go around about every hour.

Thanks fam!!👆👆 For all your wonderful comments install telegram and text me got a package for you 🎁🎮🎮🎮
Me and my wife went there once. Loved that place.
17:32 funny how sometimes we say things unnoticed 😂
Cool place. My favorite toy was a 3 inch metal rocket that you could put a cap in the tip. I used to throw it high up in the air and when that thing hit the ground it sounded like a gunshot. Still have it.
Nobody… ricks dad “Oh yeah.” Lmao. I love when he goes hunting with you
6:50 That's The Great Garloo by Marx from the 1960's!

Great Video Rick. Awesome Spider-Man display at the start, and I love how your lil man said found a Transformers VHS😃
Forbidden bridge commercial unlocked a memory in my mind I forgot was there 😂
Man you have a cool family, I'm jealous of your good time together haha
Your kid is so cute lol that's me when I see nostalgic items from my childhood
We need more retro life store update videos!!!
Don't forget my 4 favorite board games Mouse Trap, Fireball Island, Hero Quest, and Crossfire!!
@Retro Rick You just reminded me of EXO SQUAD toys!!! I had forgotten about them and seeing them bring back such good memories! Thanks! I used to play with them and my GI JOEs even though the figures were a little smaller but the mech suits were awesome!
7:18, Torpedo Run was great! It was like an earlier version of Weapons and Warriors only it was with battleships and submarines. Each player had a sub that would shoot flat discs across the game board while trying to hit the target of the opponent's destroyers and main battleship. Whoever hit all of the targets first won.
Thumbs up 👍 this to bring Retro Rick good fortune!!! 🙌🙌
Me and my grandma tried to go here years ago and it was like a ridiculous amount of money to get in just to walk around so I'm glad that you paid that money so I could finally see what was inside thanks Rick you're awesome while you were in Branson you should have drove 30 minutes up the road to one of the best video game stores I've ever been to in Nixa Missouri call Game World
I just happened to stumble across one of your videos on Facebook the other day (I believe it was the one you bought a game store) and it had me curious about to know more about your videos. Lets just say many hours later of watching and enjoying your content here I am still. I just wanted to say i liked the idea of your $10 challenge series and thought it would be a fun challenge I am looking forward to doing this year with some of my friends to see what we come up with.
Such a awesome place
Always wanted to go here
Thanks fam!!👆👆 For all your wonderful comments install telegram and text me got a package for you 🎁🎮🎮🎮
He's excited for Power Rangers, you've taught the boy well.
I’ve got a Forbidden Bridge from my childhood sitting in my game room right now. 😎
@2:40 The Batman and Hulk toys were from the 70's. I had those in the 70's. I'm old.
Rick purchased this toy museum🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just watched this...and I told my wife " we are going!" 😅😅😅
Thanks for sharing
They remade forbidden bridge and you can find it now for under 25 bucks!
Thanks fam!!👆👆 For all your wonderful comments install telegram and text me got a package for you 🎁🎮🎮🎮
Without even looking, I new this was a new video when your son said Transformers. 😄
Love these videos Rick!
The Transformers VHS moment with your son easily made this whole video
Awesome seeing all those toys and video games in my collection I have two Super Mario phones a red one and a green one picked up from a garage sale think it was $2 a piece
fantastic video dude! what a great place
Didn't take much in after you informed me Toy Story is 28yr old! 😲
I seen a tiny bit of Gi Joe's. Was hoping to see some of the
3.75 inch Gi Joe's. Or Action Force as they were originally called here in UK 😄
I recall the 'Tiger Force' line of Gi Joe's.
They came with two little tubes of face paint for the figures. Very cool at the time.
I wonder if there are any of them still boxed somewhere.
Probably worth a fair bit!
Awesome channel mate! Just subbed.
Just wish there was places like this in England first comment for my son
60's Batman !! You should check it out , Rick ! That series is hilarious ^^
They put Chip from Rescue Rangers in the western section. Same as they have M.A.S.K in the Transformers section lol
I think I'm a few years older but the lack of attention to G1 Transformers, LJN and Hasbro WWF toys hurts my childhood soul.
This place is awesome!
My kids know about VHS too as they had no choice - I wrote a book on VHS and there are too many of them in the house 😉 they put up with a lot of retro stuff with me!
that Punch Out! theme during Rock'em Sock'em . DOPE.
I hope to see oldschool sonic and tails.
Thanks fam!!👆👆 For all your wonderful comments install telegram and text me got a package for you 🎁🎮🎮🎮
You would have also geeked out at a place called Retromania in Branson. It’s more movie related though.
absolutely awesome, thanks for sharing
So cool that you were in Branson! I live in Harrison and we drive up there all the time. Would have been awesome to meet you! Hopefully going to try and check out your game store sometime!
That looks awesome and amazing 😊
TOMA TU 👍 IMPRESIONANTE MUSEO FELICITACIONES DE LOS MEJORES QUE HE VISTO
SIN Palabras .
SALUDOS DESDE COLOMBIA 🇨🇴🤙🤙🤙
Played both of those as a kid omega virus and forbidden bridge. I still have that omega virus game hahah
Alvin was my favorite part 😂
15:04 my grandpa was the same way. Never went easy on me in chess but it made me strive to get better and played him every time I went over to his house until I finally beat him once 😆granted I was a bit older than your son is now but man was it nice when I finally won one lol
Hi Rick!!
Did they have an anime figure section? That would have been awesome.
That proud dad VHS moment lol
I have that Alf lunchbox, it also made an appearance on that's my boy
Really
If you're worried about lights... Make sure to switch to LED. Nothing's 100%, but compared to the sun and older lights they're a lot better. I'm pretty sure modern have zero UV. Not sure what to do about the front of your store though. Those big windows have got to be killer.
Great footage Retro. I appreciate you making this content. So many amazing toys in one place. What a sight to see. Content always 🔥🔥
florescent lights are absolutely horrible for collections and general health... LEDs are 100% safe and great for showing and preserving your collections.
this place looks amazing!!
🤔
Papa Retro seems cool asf
It's weird saying "the 20s" like we always have when we currently live in the 20s.
Great video. Love from Ireland
